  1. Many posters have said that the Solarium Bistro no longer carries a fee on Oasis.

Problem is just as many say there's a fee..... we were on 3/18/17 and had to pay. People we met who had My time dining got to eat in there one night for free. I can only speak from our experience and that was that two months ago we had to pay and it was shown with the $ next to it in the cruise compass.

  2. Why is it so hard for people to just pay for their drinks as they go if they don't want a drink package? Yes, we get the drink package - we each get one, we don't share, our friends each get one as well.

Yes they do catch people sharing, just ask the gentleman who was being spoken to by the manager at 150 on our last trip.

Why try and cheat the system? As mentioned guess what it doesn't screw Royal it ends up screwing the rest of us who play by the rules ..... and before the rules police jump on- no we don't sneak on travel steamers or other items. Yes we stick to the 2 bottle per stateroom policy instead of each taking two and just separating from each other at Check in like people mention. Yes we follow the guidelines for MDR attire. No for those that say it each time- I don't speed not just because I'm afraid I'll get caught I'm just not in that much of a hurry.

It's simple if he wants a package he buys a package, if you don't then don't get one and pay for your drinks as you go.

  3. With Oasis class you really really need to log in to your cruise planner and book your shows (for September they should be avail now to book) with 6,200 people if you don't book you may miss them. Ice show, come fly with me and the aqua show are all wonderful.

Specialty restaurants are : Chops - steakhouse, Izumi- sushi and hibachi, Sabor- Mexican , Giovanni's - Italian, 150 Central Park, Chefs table, Johnny Rockets and Solarium Bistro.

We did not do self assist and were off by 8:45 in March.

  4. Have you ever considered acupuncture? I was close to having surgery on my shoulder when my doctor a sports medicine doctor, recommended I try acupuncture first. I did two sessions a week and noticed significant difference in two weeks- in 8 weeks my dr actually took surgery off the table and after 12 weeks I've not had an issue with it in going on 3 years. I was very much a skeptic at first and only did it because my dr asked me to try it

  5. What I don't understand about the drink package and free voom deal is the voom doesn't seem free in this deal.

If you buy the drink package by itself the total price is $379.96. If you buy the drink package plus free voom deal, the total is $433.68.

It does not say it's free. It's says it's Deluxe drink package and Voom. It's a discounted rate on the two by booking it as a package.

  6. thanks for following

I'll go take a look later on and make a picture.

When we did the cabin crawl I felt a lot more motion in the forward ocean view. I am seasick and have been taking bonine. I am doing great so far, those pills will surely help.

Staying safely inside, that's for sure. There goes my dream of going home with a nice tan... [emoji31]. I am currently in my bed, but you probably didn't want to know that [emoji23][emoji12]. Posted our position just for you.

    Thank you!

  7. We are in room 1808. Beautiful panoramic oceanview rooms. Floor is amazing. Very quiet. That being sad the rocking motion is awful as you are all the way upfront. This is my third TA and this one is by far the windiest and rockiest crossing I have experienced.

We are on 8 forward on ours, no other balconies were left when we booked 14 months out. So I'm a tad concerned about that, I'll be packing Dramamine and sea bands for sure.

  8. Love reading this! We are doing the transatlantic in October on Freedom and this is making me so jealous!!!

I have a favor if you find time friends of ours are going to be staying in cabin 1880 on Deck 12, they are concerned with the area as it looks to be off the health club and it's part of the newly added cabins, if you could could you possibly snap a few photos of the entrance to the cabins on 12 and the hallway near it??? It would make them stop freaking out about that part lol

  9. Thanks for the report. I'll still probably try it, though. But this news has me all kinds of sad.

Yeah like I said we tried it on Oasis last month and it was just so sweet. If you like sweet it may work but I couldn't handle it.

The old with the coconut rum, coconut milk, mint, lime and soda water was just light, refreshing and so good!!! This new one with Bacardi silver, too much coconut syrup, lime, mint and soda. The coconut is now super sweet and just yuck

  10. I only just discovered the drink last August and have been looking forward to it ever since then. Any recommendations for other drinks to try? I'm curious about the Passionfruit Caipirinha!

I know, I found it last October when we were on and I couldn't wait to start the trip with one! A few bartenders that had been on our previous cruise remembered me and would make it for me randomly if they had the coconut water available. Newer bartenders didn't know how to make it and wouldn't.

There was a teqmo( spelling ?) basically a tequila mojito I really liked and another tequila drink I'm trying to remember the name of but it was like a tequila spritzer. And drank several blue Hawaiians lol

  11. Oh no!!!!!! :loudcry::loudcry::loudcry::loudcry: this is tragic news!

I spent 5 months looking forward to a triple coconut Mojito and a labadoozie only to get told we couldn't get the labadoozie on board anymore and then ordered the coconut mojito without looking at the new menu, tasted it and had to go back and look at the menu- followed by ordering a different drink [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

  12. Can you get the Labadoozie on the ship?

Edit: Bob to the rescue already answered that lol

    Moving along now lol

Like I mentioned don't always expect to be able to. We were on Oasis in March and wanted friends to try it- we went to every bar on the ship and were told no Labadoozies or Cocolocos were available.

  13. My go to used to be the lavender lemondrop martini from the champagne bar. On our last cruise we officially became acquainted with Boleros (only took 5 cruises) and I discovered the triple coconut mojito. Hands down my favorite drink. I am also a fan of the bloody mary the make on board.

Question, in the past with the Premium drink package, we've been able to order a shot with a beer (the consider the beer the chaser and don't charge for two drink at once). Does this rule still apply for the Deluxe drink package?

The triple coconut mojito is no more [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24] it was my favorite drink, Malibu, coconut milk, the coconut on the glass, lime, mint and club soda was so good!

March we were on Oasis and I headed straight to Boleros for my Triple coconut mojito which is now a coconut mojito made with Bacardi, coconut syrup (the stuff used at coffee shops), lime, mint and soda water. Now it's overly sweet and tastes like tanning oil

  14. The policy is supposed to apply only if you received the instant obc. And that is because so many people book the suites get the instant obc on their cruise they are on and then change or cancel when you get home. Screwing up how it all works and before someone does the "RCCL can afford some list obc" do the math if a few thousand people book suites on board getting $500 on on board credit for their current trip. 26 ships, 52 weeks a year what ten suites per ship can add up to a significant cost that then gets passed on to the other cruisers that follow policy. So blame those who would book the cabins that got them the highest on board credit for their current trip, spent it then called and cancelled or dropped that suite to a $100 obc balcony room.
