  1. Last month on the Encore, the half and half small containers were replaced with another creamer type.   They were hard to open and I constantly had creamer flying when I torn them open.   Hoping NOT to find them again on the Joy in June.

Here’s a thought.  Don’t pay for the Haven on a Jewel class ship😉.  We haven’t sailed a Jewel class ship since our first cruise in October ‘21 and that was the Jade.  Our AK cruise in 47 days (I’m counting) is on the Jewel.  It will be interesting to see how we feel about the smaller ship.  I guess the Havenites will have to rub shoulders with us commoners 🤣. I wonder if I will be able to spot them.  Oh wait…they will be in a parade, I’ve been told.

Last August/September, we sailed on the Jewel in a non Haven cabin and really enjoyed the smaller ship.   The only thing we missed was the Vibe on our last sea day as the weather was beautiful.

For us, the best part of Haven is the restaurant so we would never stay in a Haven category on a ship that does not have a Haven restaurant.

Yes, that would make sense!  Fortunately for me, his office is across the hall from mine and I nicely asked him to send it.  Easy peasy!

That works out!   Last year I transferred one to our nephew who lives in another state than us.  By accident, NCL transferred two.  Even though it was their mistake, they would not accept an email from me.

    Yikes!

Cannot believe I never noticed that typo.

    Thanks.

I never noticed it either and I am also from Long Island so I would have thought it would have stood out when reading all of your posts.

  5. Looking forward to following along on another one of your live reports!

My husband and I finally tried Los Lobos for the first-time last month on the Encore.  Not only did we go back the next night too, but we also both decided it is now our favorite specialty restaurant.    We will be on the Joy in June and wish there was a Los Lobos onboard.

Enjoy the special memories you will be creating alone with your son.

But, on to you! Ok, back to me, really, because I am so absolutely jealous that you had mozzarella sticks and spring rolls in the lounge at MCT. The best we've ever had are canapes! I would have devoured a dozen of each and had no space in my belly for lunch. But, that's what vacation's for! I'm glad that, even though packed, you found space in the lounge and made it onboard quickly.

    @Treasure Hunter

I read it as the mozzarella sticks and spring rolls were served in the Haven lounge inside the Haven and not in the terminal.

But as a fellow mozzarella sticks lover, we were never served them in the Haven lounge either.  But then again, we never spent a lot of time in the lounge on embarkation day.

  7. I just want to add that last month at the Miami terminal, those that purchased priority boarding (or whatever it is called) were called to board before Platinum.   As Platinum, I was a little annoyed that paid access went ahead of earned access.

Did you apply them directly or go through a PCC/TA? My thoughts are around whether or not it's the certificate itself which is why some PCCs will put them through, others will not. Haven't heard anyone say they couldn't put theirs through on the website, other than those who aren't eligible or are having other issues with the certificates in their account.

Oh, I misunderstood your thought.   I applied the Certificates myself.

UhOh - I had a thought...certificates bought after the switch, and new rules, clearly state that they cannot be applied to existing reservations. I wonder if that's what's affecting the ability for some to get them added (even with help) vs those that can't?  Would be interesting to know if they are only enforcing the policy on new certificates.

Mine were new certificates we purchased last month.

You are welcome!  I created the thread when the last Triple Up Promotion was offered.

And it would be wonderful to keep it going forward to the next triple up as I will need another one by next February after this June when I inquire more.

Thanks. I was able to contact my TA and within 5 minutes of emailing him, I got a confirmation from NCL that the 3rd CN had been applied. 😄 (This, BTW, is why I love having a travel agent!)

But if you did not have a travel agent and booked directly, you would of been able to apply the third one yourself.

In any case, glad you got the third one applied.

When I went into a reservation to add a cruise next to an existing reservation, under my cruise next there is a “Your Welcome Back $100 off Coupon”. Says I have to use by March 25, 2024, and travel by January 2026. I do not see it under My NCL, only when I go to make a payment. Anyone else have this?

No, I do not have it.    I have the Alaska Bliss coupon, but will not be using it.

Just got my 3rd cruise next applied by my pcc. Said it will only work if there is no price change either up or down offer only lasts one week. Good luck

Not true.   Our Viva February 2025 cruise has gone up over $2200 since booking.

Thank you for pointing this out.  I have always in the past called CAS and waited on hold to get something like this done.  Just checked my account to verify the $250 had been deducted and for the first time noticed the payment button.  Upon hitting that I realized that my remaining CNC's along with their cert number are listed there.  Next time I am going to do it myself instead of waiting on hold for CAS.

    You are very welcome!

Depending on how you look at it we saved either $125 or $250.  They also told me that this offer is good through the end of this month.  If you have extra CNC's on hand it's free money there for the taking.

I always look at it as $250 as the money came from another cruise that has been paid for.   And I put the cost of buying new certificates in the cruise budget of the cruise I will be buying them on.

My husband and I have been debating back and forth about cancelling our February 2025 Viva cruise to do something else (which is also booked).  This additional $250 savings, puts me back on "let's stick with the Viva" phase.

I don't seem to have that option. Good for you, though, well done!

Do you see your certificates in your account?   If you do, when you go to make a payment, click on payment amount putting $250 in the box, then go down and click on your certificate, then go down and click on the I accept box (or whatever it states), then hit make payment.
