  1. OK, so when I have my Medallion up and running, it is using wifi? So I can't have my medallion "on" at the same time as I access my computer? (Yes, I am that bad at figuring out technology!!!!!)
  2. So, if we have the Princess Plus package that comes with wifi, there is no need to purchase additional internet, correct? It is unlimited? Also, I assume it is one internet account per passenger? In other words, my husband and I (both purchased Plus package) will EACH be able to access one device at the same time? Sorry if these answers seem obvious, but this is our first cruise since the introduction of the medallion. We are used to our old 250 minutes each. LOL
  3. @Tiki_Koro - I hope you will be back to continue your report!!! It was a wonderful review - don't leave us hanging! lol
  4. Ah ok. So if you are on voyage Q226A, departing from Barcelona, it is indeed a different set of rules, as bluemarble pointed out. But if your voyage departs on Aug 9 from FLL, I think perhaps you have received that email in error and you may want to double check directly with Cunard. Edited to add: perhaps you are doing a b2b? If so, the requirements to board in FLL will still require testing (according to the website), but you received the email because you are on their manifest as also boarding in Barcelona. Just a thought.
  5. Yep. If you see the line "Pre-cruise testing for voyages departing from the USA" on my post above, that is part of the cut and paste. But you make a good point - with so many different policies it is very difficult to keep track of it. I don't understand why the rules can't be applied across all departures. For example, if you are doing a western TA, you do NOT need a supervised test, but if you are doing an eastern TA you do. Talk about "things that make you go hmmmmmm" LOL
  6. I just grabbed this directly from the website and it indicates it is correct as of "July 21": Pre-cruise testing for voyages departing from the USA. All fully vaccinated guests will need to organize and purchase an antigen test to be taken two days prior to arrival at the embarkation terminal. This can be at any time two days before or on the day of embarkation. You can order your antigen test kit through any government-approved testing provider. Guests will need to present their negative antigen test certificate at the ship's terminal.
  7. Thats very interesting. We are leaving next Friday on the QM2 out of NYC on an eastern crossing, and have not received such an email. Our docs still say we need to present proof of a negative antigen test taken up to 2 days before we board. Its so difficult to understand how leaving from FLL would differ from leaving from NYC. And we have ZERO ports between embarking and disembarking, so an off shore country isn't demanding the test!
  8. How do you check to see if an update is required?
  9. @Tiki_Koro Chad - forgive me if this has already been asked and answered. But were you able to order drinks on your drink package via the medallion for delivery to your stateroom?
  10. Went to the link and its an article about P&O gratuities????
  11. Yes. And so is Cunard (UK/Europe sailings only) and Azamara. And Viking. But still silence from Princess. Because Cunard and P&O have made independent announcements, its obvious Carnival Corp will not be setting protocols to cover all their companies. Sure hope Princess puts something out soon!
  12. May I ask what you are basing this on? I hope you are right, but would like to know if this is from a source, or just your opinion? Because I am keeping a VERY close eye on things as well sail in August, and have not yet read ANYTHING from Princess on any impending changes to their policies.
  13. Sorry, I should have specified US departures. But that's why I made reference to the CDC, as they only govern the US.
  14. Curious that this only applies to UK departures, in light of the CDC dropping its requirements recently. I would have thought this would be the time to roll out changes fleet wide (with the exception of cruises sailing to locations where tests are still mandatory, of course).
  15. Its the same issue for our sailing on Aug 5. Documents became available today and they say Aug 4. Friends who are travelling with us called Cunard, who assured them it is a problem with the system and ship sails on the 5th as planned 🙂
  16. Obviously accessing the internet from the Emerald is not great, based on the absence of the OP. Too bad, as he seemed very excited to be doing a Live From, and it looked like it was going to be a great one! @Tiki_Koro - if you are seeing this, I hope you and your family are having a wonderful cruise!
  17. This is simply appalling. I have no wisdom to share, only know that I feel for you, your aunt, and pray for a full recovery for. her. Princess, more specifically the heartless employees you encountered, should be ashamed.
  18. When do boarding documents and luggage tags typically become available? We sail Aug 5. I check daily and I get "opening soon" (on line check in) and "not yet available" (luggage tags and e-tickets).
  19. Thanks David. I just emailed our TA. I'm hoping she can make these arrangements for us. Getting through to any cruise line via phone these days is next to impossible!
  20. Do you request this ahead of time? Or when you arrive at the terminal?
  21. You and I may think so, but if it "makes sense", all the more reason for Princess to question it!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
