I believe it's only the mouthpiece. You know, so you don't have to use one on the excursion that has already been used by 100 or so people.
-
I believe the Vodka is 1 litre. $75 PLUS 15%(delivery fee) = WAY too fricken expensive. It sells here for @ $12
But the view from the ship so so much better than the parking lot of my local liquor store.

We are sailing the Breeze in a few weeks for our anniversary so we booked the Steakhouse on the first night as well.
I have seen a couple of posts saying the house wine leaves something to be desired.
Can you expand on that?
Not wine experts by any means, so not very picky.
Also is it a single type of wine or do they have a choice of red/white/etc.?
The wine is Santa Carolina, a Chilean wine. The red is a merlot and the white is, I believe, a chardonnay. They are comparable to many $8-10 bottles you will find in stores. Some have found the quality lacking, while some are just fine with it. Pretty much the reviews you would expect from a wine in that price range.

Has anyone ever had unused gift card monies at the end? What happens to the leftover? Does it go back on the gift card and can be used next cruise? Or do you lose it?
Thanks
When we last sailed, I had a substantial balance in gift cards on my account. I cashed out most through the casino. (The only time I actually went in the casino). It's pretty easy to do.
Even though I was told I would get the balance returned on a gift card, I got a check from Carnival with the balance (less than $50) a few weeks after sailing.

I'm trying to book the Rays, Reef and Rum Point excursion thru Native Ways. Does anyone know the time difference between Ship time and Cayman Island time? To add to the mix, to make it even more confusing, Native Ways advertises this in Eastern time. Haha Any help would be much appreciated;)
They advertise in Eastern Time because the Cayman Islands are on Eastern Time year around. They do not observe daylight savings time.
So, while the US is on standard time, the Caymans will be on the same time as the eastern time zone (EST). During daylight savings time, they will be on the same time as the central time zone (CDT).
So -- the answer to your question is "it depends". It depends on what time of year you are travelling to the Caymans. It depends on what port you are leaving from. And, finally, it depends on what ship you are on (not all ships maintain "ship time" throughout the cruise).

I dislike $50 deposit and it being presented as a perk/sale. There is no money saved here, just delayed. I suspect it increases the chance of someone who does not have the money to cruise booking a cruise and Carnival taking their money when they cannot make final payment.
Or it provides a bit more flexibility for those who don't book the fully refundable fares (for whatever reason). With a $50 deposit, if you change/cancel, the same amount of $ is lost ($50). But, if you had the full deposit, Carnival keeps the rest of the deposit as a future cruise credit.

Hobby? There is a Doubletree close to the airport with a full-service restaurant in the hotel.
If you are worried about traffic closures, etc., check out http://www.drivetexas.org as you get closer to the sail date. It is pretty good about updating road closures and traffic conditions.

Please call the cruise line.
I know that when we get a new License in Texas the id we are given is a xerox copy on paper so I am not sure if this will work for you.
Keith
Many have reported on this site that it was acceptable. The requirement is a government-issued photo ID. The piece of paper given out in Texas is exactly that as it has the same photo printed on there as the card will have. There are no requirements that it be issued in any particular form. Some states don't have photos on their temporary licenses, and they would not be acceptable.
That being said....I would be nervous about the guy at the counter not seeing my impeccable logic and saying, "sorry."

I would suggest Budget (since it’s the one we used) for one reason. They have a “cruise ship” rate that includes everything. Rental, insurance, license fee, and gas. It appealed to the side of me that wanted to know my final price up front. I did pay the extra for the gps.

I don’t know what he open space is, but the space across from 7375 is not the atrium. 7275 does seem to face the atrium area.

Is it true you can order several bottles at 50% off to enjoy in the MDR later in the cruise?
Sent from my iPad using Forums
Is it true? Maybe. My personal experience is it worked for us (me and the wife). I wanted red, she wanted white. We asked if we could go with both and the waiter said he would have to ask the manager. He came back and said we could. Neither bottle was finished and we were offered the ability to take them with us or leave them in the "cellar" for use later in the cruise (at the steakhouse or in the MDR).
Others have reported difficulty in getting more than one bottle.

I can't recall exactly, but I want to say it was $20 (including tip) from cruise port to the Budget rental car facility near the airport via taxi.

I have used one like this for a while now. It's narrow, so it doesn't hold as much as some. But for the price (yes the price is below $30) it's about as good as it gets. It's more durable than the price would indicate.
It's not a high-tech bag. I wouldn't take it on a backpacking trip. It doesn't hold much more than a standard brief case might hold. It's the price that got me hooked.
If the link doesn't come through, search for "tactical rucksack"

Same deal
I am going to have to disagree with this statement as an across-the-board statement. I'm not saying it's not generally true, but, in my situation, the PVP beat the online price by quite a bit.
I was already booked and wanted to upgrade from an inside view to a balcony. I got suggestions on these boards for a PVP because I was having to call Carnival anyway, I might as well start a relationship with a PVP. He was able to book me in a balcony for much less than I was I was seeing online at the time.
It could be that because I was upgrading, the deal was better whether it was a PVP or a customer service rep. If I were to compare the best price I was seeing online vs. what I got, were talking a little over $100 pp difference on a three-person cabin.

What time does your ship arrive? I'm on NCL Escape - apparently we are to arrive at 8AM, we wouldnt make an 8:15 departure so ours is at 9.
We get in at 7:00.

Finally broke down and called Native Ways about the Rays, Reef and Rum Point Tour. I was told that our tour would leave at 8:15 boat time (rather than 9:00) and end at 1:30 (rather than 2:15). I feel much better about a 1:30 end time than 2:15, given the ship's 4:00 departure (I said 4:30 earlier, but I was wrong, it's 4:00).

Will they let you get a couple of bottles of non-alcoholic beverage at a time?
Rules say no. Your mileage may vary.

Am I able to take my card and my mom's to get us each a drink at a bar or do they require her to be present?
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Forums mobile app
I think “by the rules” no. But, I found once the bartender (or barista) saw me and my wife together, I never had trouble getting her a drink with her card.

Thank you. We ended up booking a private tour and blue hole is definitely on my list of things to do. My kids are stronger swimmers than I am, but how good of a swimmer do you have to be and how much am I going to freak out? Lol. Meaning how close can they come to hitting rocks when they jump in?
If I may ask, who are you using for the tour?
And, from the perspective of jumping off the falls, it doesn't seem that close to hitting rocks. Visitors climb down the falls a bit before jumping, so it's not as far. I don't think the let visitors jump from the higher locations, where the guides will jump from.
My wife is not a strong swimmer at all and had no problems with the swimming part.

If you are logged in and do a mock booking will it recognize you are already booked and will it affect the rates you see?
If that is a concern, log out and clear your cookies. While I don't THINK it will affect your visible rates, I never say never.

Is it cheaper if I buy ahead of time?
Can you buy it second day into cruise?
Yes and Yes.
Details:
Cheers is $51.95 per person per day prepaid ($59.74 pp per day with tip)
Onboard, it is $56.95 per person per day ($65.49 pp per day with tip)
You can purchase the second day into the cruise, although there have been conflicting reports whether your pay for the remaining days or you pay for all days and get the first day drinks "credited" to Cheers.
Texas and New York can't get Cheers until day 2.
-
Just went up $2.00 a day so your final all in price is 51.95 a day per person.
Plus 15% gratuity, so final all in price is $59.74 per day.

If you have the WiFi plan, you can also log on to the desktop computers in the “Internet cafe”. Those could give you a shot at a bit faster speeds.

Have you ever called the upscale fairy?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
I have called a PVP before to inquire as to what the price was to move from an outside view to balcony. I was given a price about 40% off what I was seeing online. Does that count?
