If a 14+ night cruise you will get $300pp for booking on board with deposit of £175pp. You will also get the current OBC promotion at that time with Cunard (eg. $290 at the current TA rate).

And like clock work I have done it again this time too
Are you in danger of being institutionalised or maybe Cunardised? 🤪

Can I ask what is your favourite cabin? Nice to know for future reference if you are not on board! 🤪

I love a beef wellington but not so sure about the lamb or pork - think it devalues the notion of a wellington - find other recipes for the lamb and pork. I have tried them both but not impressed.

Another missing piece of the Cunard Queens - and I assume tradition on all the other Queens in terms of visible striking of the bell at 12 noon in the atrium - or is this in my fantasy Cunard world?

Can I ask what YMG stands for, if you have cruised Cunard before and what did you think of Queen Anne?

So if you want to know who goes on a cruise to watch television you have your answer!
😂 I caught up on a few films I had wanted to see (on demand) when we were on QA. The beauty of cruising is being able to do as much or as little as you want when you want!

Looking forward to your updates and hope that you have a lovely relaxing holiday. Thanks for taking us along.

A view of our favourite Queen from Crosby beach sailing in to Liverpool today. We were fortunate to be able to embark her in Liverpool in 2015, celebrating her 175th Anniversary, and only hope that Liverpool cruise terminal will be able to facilitate this again at some point in the future!🤞 Welcome to all on board and hope you have an amazing time during your overnight stay in Liverpool.

On embarkation day, whilst waiting to be allocated our table in PG, the couple in front were blah blahing about where they would like their table (window). Stanley advised that allocation was based on how early you had booked the cruise, finding this was the fairest, thus terminating any further discussion on his part but not their’s unfortunately. We were very happy with our table and noted the couple in question were seated furthest from a window against a wall.

Not sure of the purpose of this enquiry. Are you suggesting it is Cunard’s fault? Such is life in these times post covid and you take a chance wherever you visit/socialise/holiday. As stated this is airborne and your vigilant hand washing will have hopefully protected you from a stomach bug. Are you so ill that it will stop you from travelling and socialising anywhere in the future? Hope you make a speedy recovery.

You can get a shuttle bus at Invergordon to Inverness, there is a kiosk selling tickets at the port and shuttle bus is 50m away. A lot, and I mean a lot cheaper, than the Cunard "on your own" transfer.
We used this last month - much cheaper and seems to be led by demand of cruise ship passengers and drop off/pick up in central location in Inverness.
Greenock to Glasgow - tour bus service at the port terminal exit £10 return compared to I think $59 Cunard Glasgow on your own! -
From experience I believe once you are in the terminal you will be directed to whatever relevant desk for check in and then seated. The pecking order, for want of a better phrase, kicks in once boarding starts hence QG will be first through to security followed by PG etc. As stated I have remained seated until given category has been called to board. No queue jumping.

Club used to be after Grills but that changed about 18 months ago.
Not having travelled in Club I was unaware of the change.

So you were able to check in and board before Grills?
No - the pecking order is QG, PG, Club balcony, Diamond and then Platinum. We boarded according to our category - in May we were in Britannia and boarded as priority Platinum, in July we were in PG so second category to board.
-
Sorry but has the policy changed since 14th July? As stated my experience in July boarding QA was as it was in May boarding QA (boarding time given as 3.30 and arrived 12.45) and December 23 boarding QM2. I was directed to bypass the very long queue to access the terminal to check in. Not queue jumping in my opinion but perk given due to loyalty tier.

If you arrive at 13:00 then you should expect to have to wait in a queue outside the terminal until your allotted time. Depending on how boarding is going on the day then you may be allowed on earlier, but there are no guarantees.
This is incorrect. As platinum you have priority boarding (which will be stated on your boarding pass) and you will be directed to bypass the queue outside the terminal, whatever time you choose to arrive, to check in desks and then seated. You will be able to board once QG, PG, Club balcony and diamond have been called. This has been my experience at Southampton boarding QV in May and QA in July.

then it's time to change the usage of the QR and for me, that's what happened on QA. Dancers danced, musicians played and duos sang.
And given the number of passengers on board and the poor design, layout, limited seating/viewing many are unable to enjoy the Queens Room on QA unless you get ‘front row’ seats early.

One that I can highly recommend is Crepes Suzette. Another that I have seen, but not tried is Duck a.la Orange.
I think these, together with a range of other items, are daily offerings on the a la carte menu in PG.

I seem to remember you telling us but not about your opinions.
I found some of the art 'strange' [our cabin relief work springs to mind] but some I found wonderful. The Grand lobby grew on me and went from a stark, area to an incredibly elegant, beautiful, but still minimalist lobby thanks to flowers, passengers and the great three story panel which is the focus of the lobby.
The question for me is where is the big Xmas tree going? Does not seem enough room in the Grand Lobby to me unless they clear everything else out! First world problems and all that!

My Princess Grill room was lovely but just a bit "cozy".
Best avoid Queen Anne then if you thought PG cabin on QM2 was cosy!

Unlike the useless/pointless scrap of material, I can actually see a theatre full of people on this Heinz 57 painting!🤪

Benefits of booking onboard
in Cunard Line
Posted
Agreed - likely more ($400?) for grills and less for fewer nights. Also not applicable for over (I think) 25 nights when additional 3% discount is applied instead. The onboard additional benefit is always added to the current Cunard offer at any given time for a Cunard fare.
