Do the drink packages have time restrictions? If I go to the club til 3 are my drinks still included? Some land based All Inclusives stop at 12 and you have to start paying. Also what time does it start in the morning? I'm not an alcoholic but if I want my first cocktail on my lounger at 10am can I?

I can chime in here as i'm a systems administrator and i work with this all the time.

 

When you buy stream package, you get the full compliment of what speed the network has to offer.

 

If you buy the surf package, what happens is that they throttle you account back to slow it down. So in other words you start very fast but than the throttling comes into play to slow it. It may start fast but than quickly slows down

 

This is why some of the other posts here were described as "the pages load good such as weather but than got choppy" the choppy part is the throttling that is coming into play.

 

Surf should suffice for basic email and web surfing (no you tube).

 

If you want to you tube or post videos/pictures, Skype or play Netflix than you would need the stream package.

Read in our roll call that the internet prices on board the 3rd May Ovation cruise had increase. :eek:

Just curious whether they will take it back and give a refund or insist on resetting it till the end of the cruise? :eek:

Was thinking of getting one on board but since it doesn't work on the Ovation (except for opening the door as posted earlier) we will skip. :cool:

Does anyone know if all the Asian cruises for Ovation in 2017 have been released?

 

I booked the repositioning from Hong Kong to Singapore for Nov, 2017 on the weekend and thought I might check out prior cruises any maybe do a BTB but I can't find anything but the one I am booked on.

 

Perhaps they are chartered or not released as I don't think they would all be sold out already.

Hi Jo, we are looking at the 14th Nov 2017 (9 nights, Hong Kong to Singapore) or the 23rd November 2017 (14 nights, Singapore to Sydney) on the Ovation. If we booked the 14th Nov, we will get to meet. I couldn't see anything prior to your 14th Nov trip. :)

Does it imply if get cash from the casino with 5% fee, I can offset it from my OBC? :)

Yes, and you would be able to combine OBC from booking on board in that case.

Me too, in Anthem last year it was free and awesome, you don't need to take the card with you anywhere in the ship only in the ports.

From memory, there was a Freestyle machine in Sorrento's, by the Doghouse (Seaplex), Windjammer.....and various other places I can't remember!

 

We didn't have a drinks package, so they weren't on our radar...

You are welcome. Yes, taxis are plenty and not that expensive. Have a great time staying around Boat Quay area, do explore the "water-holes" there especially during "Happy Hours" :)

It is Celebrity Solstice going into dry dock in October.

I couldn't find an Oct schedule for either terminal.

 

The flight I am looking at is 1pm. We are scheduled to arrive at 8am.

I would be doing self disembark with one small bag.

Any thoughts on whether that is realistic timing if docked at Harbourfront ?

Yes it is doable for both Cruise Centres. If you docked at Harbourfront, once you exit the immigration, if I'm not mistaken, turn left and turn left to the Exit Door and at the times you can find Taxis bringing incoming passengers to the cruise ships. Otherwise, follow the direction signs to the Taxi stands. If you get lost, ask, Singaporean are helpful. :)

Taxi should be a half hour ride without traffic. If you at T3 and a bit famish, go to the basement in T3. You can find lots of local food. Hope you have ac great cruise and a wonderful short sty in Singapore.

I am familiar with Marina Bay but not with Harbourfront terminal.

 

I can't find any arrival schedules yet for October, so don't know which one Celebrity will be using.

 

I am flying out same day as arrival.

Are the arrival procedures and transport options to airport from Harbourfront as efficient as from Marina Bay ?

Celebrity Millennium? She docked at Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

Harbourfront Cruise Centre is unlike MBCC. There are a few Taxis stands as Harbourfront Cruise Centre is in a Shopping centre and the queue for taxi can be quite long.

We have now booked a hotel at Boat quay and our ship is sailing from Marina Bay cruise terminal , last time we were there March 2012 we sailed from the container port

Should not be more than $15 sgd there about for flag down taxi. If you do a taxi booking there will be additional charges $3+ sgd.
