  1. RoatanDrummer, yes, the reef is what I meant. I read a blog where the bloggers called the reef down by Tabyana the wall and so that what I was referring to. Sorry for the confusion! On the map it seems like it was a little ways down from Beachers but it's hard to tell on maps. So just five minutes or so? Thanks!

  2. Yes, yes it was! Let me see if I have photo! I know I have some video, but you can't post that format on here. I found the video......KING KABOB BBQ is his name.

Thank you! I will have to check it out

  3. Roatan offers an array of foods. Seafood, for sure. If we want to get local, ask for a soup by the name of "Sopa de Caracol." But there are excellent places for casual and American foods too.

Visit "Salty Mango" for a nice meal. They are the restaurant to Blue Island Divers.

    Thank you!

  4. You owe it to your Wife to try Beachers' Coconut Shrimp. They have a new location in West End as well. I've only had the ones in West Bay where the beach is awesome. I'm curious if they're the biggest and the best she's ever had, ever.

I think you're right that I owe her. We won't be going until next year but I will try to maybe do a review and make it a let of it so you would know. Thanks again for the pointers!

  5. I was just thinking bling and started to wonder if the Magic had more room on it since there is no thrill theater or IMAX theater on it? Also there isn't a bonsai sushi either. If these aren't on the Magic and there isn't any extra room what does the Magic have that the Breeze doesn't?

  6. Thanks for the advice. I love to try authentic foods when we travel but my wife does love her coconut shrimp and other island foods so I really appreciate your help RoatanDrummer!

  7. Good to know there is a lot of good stuff in a small area knowing time is limited! Were all four places close by so we could hit them up if we went with coral breeze?

  8. Thanks for the advice! Guess it would be a good idea to ask the local driver we have. Should've thought of that myself. I always value other input though so thanks!

  9. My only issue with Blue Kay is the hard wooden loungers. But that doesn't seem to bother a lot of people. Otherwise, it's a good spot and away from the main malecon crowd with direct access when going via taxi.

That makes sense. Comfort is important! Is the food at Blue Kay as good as tropicante? And is it traditional Mexican or Mayan Mexican at both places? Thanks aha Ian crewsweeper you are a great help!

  10. What kind of food is served in Belize and what are some good options if I do an excursion through Coral Breeze out there for some snorkeling? Thanks for your help!

  11. Sunshine Suites Resorts/Sunshine Grill, 7 Mile Beach Grand Cayman.

or Tropicante, Mahahual malecon in Costa Maya.

    Both have websites.

Thank you. I have heard a lot about Blue Kay too and like what they have to offer as it doesn't seem as busy and such but is the food quite a bit better at tropicante?

  12. Thanks again for all the help! I think I prefer the decor on the Breeze and kinda wanna go to Costa Maya since it isn't on many itineraries but I don't know if I want to pay extra for that. The Magic also has one less hour at Roatan and I think that is the port I'm most excited for. I just feel conflicted too since we have to fly and it seems like it could be more difficult and maybe expensive to do PC than Miami. Well thanks again!

  13. I'm looking at booking a western Caribbean cruise through carnival and have to choose between the Magic and the Breeze. They have the same itineraries other than the Breeze will stop in Costa Maya and the Magic stops in Grand Cayman. If you had to choose, would you pick Costa Maya or Grand Cayman and why? Thanks for any advice and opinions you give!

  14. Thanks again for all the replies! Say if we didn't do Sting Ray City, would most of you still recommend Grand Cayman? I just know we will be going to Grand Cayman on a future cruise and there just aren't many that go to Costa Maya. Thanks again!

  15. So would it be more expensive to go out of PC than Miami also? I'm trying to figure it out because it seems Miami is more expensive to fly into than Orlando. I could fly into Ft. L and go to Miami but that seems the same as flying into Orlando and going to PC. Also, I've noticed the buffet area is set up differently on the ships. Does one have more seating and one feel more open or anything?

Thanks again for all the replies! Still feel unsure of which way to go.
