  1. My wife and i leave in January on a Miracle cruise and Cabo is our first port. We are going to snorkel and then will want to grab a bite to eat. I was thinking local authentic Mexican that isn't too far away from the tendering area so we might have some time to go out to lovers beach. We aren't drinkers so that doesn't matter to us. Thanks for your help! :)

  2. My wife and I are going on the miracle in January and she is a huge Dr Seuss fan so I would like to take her to the Dr Seuss at Sea breakfast. Anyways I was just wondering if anyone knows what day and time that is and the best way to sign up for it as well. Also, is there just a sea day brunch on sea days in the dining room on sea days and no breakfast? What time is it and is there ever a line to get in? Thank you

  3. My wife and I aren't planning on any excursions when we go to Mazatlanbut we would like to see the city and go to stone island. We plan on walking tell blue line to the Mercado and then wanted to do a city tour on a pulmonia and I was just wondering what a fair price would be for that and to be dropped off at the water taxis. Also will the pulmonia take us to see the divers as part of the tour? I heard it is a couple dollars a person to go to stone island, does that include the ride back? Anything else we shouldn't miss? Thanks

  5. Pugster,

The blue line goes to the old Plaza Machado. Really a beautiful spot. From there its about 6 blocks to the Central market. When you get out to the street..at the cruise dock...you'll see a blue arch..which is the entrance to the "Blue Line". Also... there should be some gringo tourist aides..that pass out maps, brochures, info...etc.

The bus is about 10 pesos per person. A pulmonia is about 40-60 pesos(depending on your negotiating skills) total for the ride to the Golden Zone...but you get there faster and your hair looks like it:eek:!

    We sail on January 31.

Thanks so much! Really appreciate your help!

  6. Is there a MDR menu you can look at on embarkation day so you know which night to reserve so you don't miss something you want in the MDR or is the MDR menu available to look at for each night that same day? We are doing the 7 day Mex Riv. In January. I don't want to miss something I would really enjoy or want to try in the MDR

  7. Thanks for your replies! Sorry I guess asking if it is worth it isn't he best way to phrase it. I just wanted to know if you personally thought the food and service was $35 better per person and worth missing a night in the MDR to experience it or if you rather use that money on something else. Sorry I don't know how to word it better than that and I hope it makes sense. Thanks again for your answers. I know something being "worth" it means something different to everyone

  8. All cruise ships can be fun. There seems to be plenty of things to do and carnival works hard to make things fun. Splendor is still not that old. A cruise is what you make it and who you spend it with. You can find negatives in anything if you really want to but you can find the good as well. On a cruise there are a million times good as there is bad. Just enjoy it! Don't stress!

  9. My wife and I are going in January. I haven't been on a cruise sine I was 13 and this is my wife's first cruise. Is nick and Nora's worth the extra charge? Also I don't know if I want to miss dinner in the main dining room so could I make a reservation for lunch if we did decide to go? Thanks for your help!

  10. My wife and I are going on the carnival miracle in January 2016 and we aren't planning on doing an excursion in Mazatlan. We want to follow the blue line into old Mazatlan and then go to the beach. Should we go to the golden zone or stone island? I loved going to Dairy Queen when I went 12 years ago and I believe that's at the start of the golden zone but would skip that if stone island is a better beach
