  1. We've sailed the Jade   a few times and love this ship. We also sailed it twice when it was in the Hawaiian Islands as Pride of Hawaii. However we haven't been on it since it was refurbished in 2017. But I'm sure its still a great ship.

We were on this ship for the Greek Islands and Croatia cruise in 2012. I would definitely recommend and aft cabin so that you can view they sail away through Venice Canal, words cannot explain how spectacular it.

We would love to do this cruise again.  I also suggest you do it once the students are back to college  as they make up a large amount of the tourist because its easy to get to the islands for them.

The islands are packed with lots of tourists and I'm mean packed. Find your port schedule to see just how many ships are in the ports.

In reality they give pool towels away like confetti on the pool deck so a pool towel could easily be replaced.

As for the room, ask for towel animals and you will have more towels than you can handle.

This is still in fantasy land but it might happen.  I’ve already posted about babies and GV.  Here’s what I’m trying to do:

we have 6 kids and 2 spouses (potentially 3) and 8 grandkids.  We want to try to book 2 GVs to sail together.  Evidently we exceed the capacity, so we’re thinking of booking the cheapest inside cabin for the overflow adults, figuring the cost of 2 UBPs will pay for the inside.

Which ships have the biggest GVS?

If we pull this off, can we rotate 16 people through the suite dining rooms, even though 2 of them are in inside cabins?  We’d have 2 GV people not use the suite dining that day to make it fair.  We will have paid for 16 for suite dining so I think it’s reasonable.

What’s the best way to make this work, short of booking a suite for two guys who could care less about anything except the UBP, but who are part of our group?  Any suggestions?  I was thinking of a nice tip to the concierge at the beginning to explain our situation and see how he could help.

We could also do meals in the GV but it’s going to be too difficult to coordinate eveyrone’s schedules, I’d rather people just go to the suite dining as they choose rather than us having to have 8 or 16 available at a set time for butler-served in-suite meals.

Anyone ever done something this nuts?

Even though we’re only looking at 3 cabins, given our number of people, would NCL Group Services be the right source for assistance?

    All advice welcome!

Please lets us know what date you have booked and what you ended up booking so that others may avoid your situation if they choose to. Because I for one would not want to listen to kids in the pool/lounge area while I'm trying to relax and same goes for dining.

My understanding is that beverages in carry-on luggage will be stopped by security. You will be asked to consume it or dispose of it. Beverages in checked luggage will flag a trip to the naughty room where it will be I'm pounded for the cruise.

    Has this procedure changed?

No the procedure  hasn't changed. If you want to avoid this procedure just carry on and declare going through security

Normally you can find good deals for the spa while the ship is at port as most people want to be off the ship. But with Pride of America, every day is a port day, including 2 overnight stays.

Does anyone remember if there are any deals to be found for my sister to get a massage, or is she better off just pre-reserving a spot now before we board?

Deal or no deal its still tooooooooooooooo expensive and they just about hold you at ransom to buy  product.

The highlighted part is categorically incorrect for some ship staff.

I am confident your memory doesn't falter throughout the cruise duration and know where you are on the last sea day.

Believe what you want and do what you want.  But.... you're wrong.

No matter how many people are on the ship....no matter where the ship is going...the employees pay checks DO NOT CHANGE ! SOOOOOOOO where do you think the monies go???🍹

This is pure BS  We have many cruises under our belt and have spoken to many a staff about there e working condition pay etc. And what you saying is and never been part of stass's remarks to us.

Hi all, I tried searching but could not find answer.

so, have booked a transatlantic from nyc to Rome in April 2020 on the Escape. We will have our 3 yo grandson with us, and his parents. Lol.

given the weather may not be overly hot, would the outdoor pools and water park, that he is allowed in,be somewhat heated?

    thanks in advance

They will by the time the kids are done.

They will be the time the kids have had enough and maybe some adults as well.

  10. 19 days South America. The best cruise ever and our cabin was $399.00 and we were upgraded to a balcony free.

And the ship still sailed   at 75 % capacity. Perfect weather all the way.  We then spent 3 days in Valparaíso  on the riveria   Vina Del Mar at a  quint family run hotel hanging over the ocean with great views and not far from their larges casino.. Before going home.

What has been your experience with flight times, specifically from YYZ to MIA when booking reduced air with NCL?  Also, direct flight or no?  We aren't sailing for 500+ days yet and I know it's out of my control re: flight, but just curious.  Thanks.  🛫🚢🍹

    PS  GO RAPTORS GO!!!  #WETHENORTH

We are flying to YYZ to MIA Jan 11 one day prior to cruise. I intend to post my flight info once i get it. So keep a watch for it.
