I guess truth hurts!
We have many many cruises under our belt and was also on the ship where the woman climbing over to next balcony and fell. Stupidity or drunk no difference.
Speaking of stupidity we have seen more than our share of it since the the pkg was introduced, including fights at the pool, obnoxiousness of pax dining in the outside area of the specialty dining venues to the point that we asked to be moved to inside.

Just another reason to stop the booze pkgs.

Hey John, I am one of the mythological people who will admit to removing the DSG on both the cruises we did with NCL before it was changed to an all inclusive price. You just need to go to guest services on the last day/night and ask for it to be removed/lowered and it gives you the option to say why.
I personally believe NCL have made a mistake in now separating it again , it now makes it more complicated to compare prices between other cruise companies & it will also mean more "brits & Aussies" and probably half the people on this thread can remove it again.
Really!

Omg talk about overreacting! This is why folks don’t ask some questions here. It’s been posted repeatedly that all crew get a minimum living wage and only if DSC goes above a certain unknown level do they get more. Removing your DSC won’t steal food from staffs mouths.
Removing your DSC won’t steal food from staffs mouths. And what planet re you from.
All that pax need to do is use the search engine. This question has been beaten to death

You quoted my opening post, but unfortunately you failed to properly read it or offer any help as requested.
Sorry but I don't buy the line that pax will pay staff on their own this is an excuse that is constantly used on this topic.

I have just booked on the Epic next month and booked through NCL UK. They asked me did I want to pre-pay the Daily Service Charge or sort it out on board. NCL however did say that the charge was discretionary and that you could go to guest services on the first day, complete a form and then there would be no charge on your account at the end. I believe that the idea is if you prefer to tip individuals yourself. This is not an attempt to not pay the hard working staff, but all I am trying to establish is if this practice actually works and if anybody has successfully had the discretionary DSC waived from their account. Any help would be appreciated
Why would you want to steal food from staffs mouths and their families back in there country when they work seven days a week for months and put up with all the crap from pax on a daily basis.
I know that this is Brit thing need to get over it and remember your not in your own country.
That is unless you are deciding to clean your own sheets, wash your towels and vacuum your cabin floor
> Lastly in case you didn't know camping is much cheaper and you don't have to tip

My husband and I are on the 8-25 Bliss sailing to Canada. We chose an aft balcony which we both enjoy. I just got the upgrade email and it shows pretty much all the H categories available to bid on but when I do a fake booking, there is only the H7 forward facing penthouse available. Has anyone stayed in one of these and did you like it? I’m thinking if I was going to have the Haven experience (which I didn’t think would ever be possible), would being on deck 13 but still have access to the Haven, be less enjoyable? Thanks for your help.
I personally would not give up an aft cabin.

I cant remember if it was NCL or Princess, but I feel like I was previously able to see my OBC online before I cruised, but it was sort of hidden and I really had to dig for it. Anyone know if this is view-able when I log in and view my reservation? I should add that some of my OBC is from NCL and some from my TA.
TIA!
Sign in to your Ncl acct then click on your cruise top left corner, then go down a couple inches till you see this line
- Then click on summary. left side of page you will see on boarding spending this is where you will see your amt.

If you call or email the concierge line in advance they will simply book what is available online. If you don't have the dining package you can give your concierge the list of the places you want to go and the nights/times you prefer and then let them do their magic. You might have better luck if you let them know that you're not tied to a specific place on a specific night.
I would provide all that info up front rather than piecemeal it out.
Have fun!
Sounds great does anyone have the phone # to concierge, much Thanks

Will be on the Jewel in Sept in an SF suite and have a lot of OBC. So I don't want to book all our dining reservations in advance thus having to pay in advance and want to use OBC.
My question is will the Concierge make all dinner reservations for the exact time and place that we want or should I call NCL in advance to do this? If so is therer a certain # to call.

look for a vending machine in the kids arcade as its cheaper than buying from a bar onboard.

Here is a look at numerous reviews on Tripadvisor
Looks good. We have done the tour in Hawaii and it was great.
-
You may also want to know that Hawaii is very strict as to where you can smoke so watch for signage.
-
Not all guests have the same wants as you. We personally get away to avoid others as we both work in the service industry , therefor don't want to mingle with others over dining and with our luck end up with screaming kids
We also only eat in the specialty restaurants for the same reasons.
Secondly seating for haven and suites guests is really no better
Thirdly your on a much older ship Spirit was built in 1999.
And that's why they call it gambling so if you don't like losing and don't ask questions then the blame is on you.

A bad day at sea is better than a good at work. These folks need to read the fine print.

You should cut and paste this on the Ports of Call board. Here is the link to Hawaii

I am looking for a photo of POA outside aft section showing view of aft cabins from pictures taken off ship (backside of ship) . We are booked for an aft cabin and I would like to see in a picture where we will be. I know CC has a gallery section, but there are thousands of pictures there. I’m hoping someone on the forum might have one to share.
Thanks in advance!
Great cruise and great choice for aft cabin as you will be able to see Napali Coast and lava if it's flowing

what if it was a teenager who had nothing to drink but was clowning around crawling between balconies? What if it was someone who committed suicide? What if alcohol wasn't involved at all?
I have no respect for people who try and don't succeed as they are just attention getters and teenagers should not be allowed to purchase pkg just like they did years ago at March break.
