On the Majestic Princess just now.  We attended a "Behind the Seas" presentation in the theater this morning.  Apparently this is a newish series under this title, to acquaint passengers with the work done in various departments on a ship, emceed by a person in charge of that area.  (We've seen similar presentations by the navigator and the cruise director in the past, but not under this title.)  In this case, the presentation was about the Entertainment department and was lead by the Entertainment Director.

It opened with a short video and a demonstration of the theater's lights, "smoke," electronic backdrops etc.  Next, the five panelists each said their piece, and some general topics were discussed.  Then the floor was opened to questions from the audience.  Of particular note was a question about whether backstage tours would ever return.  The ED took that question, and said that the reason they were stopped was because they were not ADA compliant per a Department of Justice ruling.  However, he continued, Princess is taking steps to return those popular tours, but it takes time (and money).  The ED on this ship thought that perhaps in six months or so, at least one of those tours could begin again.  He said they were taking video footage of a (crew)person in a wheelchair following the proposed tour route, in order to prove to themselves that the tour paths would be deemed ADA compliant

I thought CC folks would be interested to learn that there is hope of these well-liked tours returning!

Good info, thanks! Any mention of cost or scope of the tour(s)?

If, and when, the Friend books a Princess cruise with the referred CVP through such email (a “Valid Referral”), the Advocate and Friend will be eligible for a Reward (as defined below).

I want to refer my 12 year old grand daughter. I refuse to book with a CVP over my private TA.

So much for my participation in this program.
