I go back to the clam shell and wait for my jet ski adventure. Mama joins me and the little one stays at the shore building sand castles.
As luck would have it the wind was blowing from the back so the shell was hot as all get out. I ended up resting the back of the shell on the chairs to get some airflow through the enclosure.

And now disaster strikes.
After getting the girls settled I set out on my snorkel adventure. The area was small with limited viewing but I was able to see a hand full of fairly nice sized fish on the reefs. As I am headed back in a barracuda swims in maybe 10 ft from me. I trail him around for a couple minutes then he heads off in the distance.
I swim back about half way to the shore and take my camera out to catch a few pictures from the water. Afterwards I put it back in the case and head for shore. When I get to shore no camera to be found. Somehow I did not fully lock the case and the camera fell out on the way in.
No problem. This water is crystal clear surely I can find it. Well as luck would have it there was enough silt floating in the water to make visibility 5% out of 100. I searched for maybe 30 mins and gave up. Luckily, this was the beginning of the day so the only data I lost was from the snorkel adventure. I was bummed but wasn't going to let that ruin my day.

The first thing I do is walk to the excursion booth to book a jet ski tour. I thought I could make it all cruise without anything adventurous but I could not.
Next we walked around scoping out the area looking for the best place to take up residency.
There wasn't much shade so we opted for a clam shell. Of course they were on the far side from where we were. We walked down there and no one was manning the area. We along with another couple that had been waiting decided to pick our spot and set up camp. Whenever the attendant came back he could take our info then.
After setting up camp we wasted no time taking in the beach.

After waiting a good amount of time to get off the boat we figured we would walk right off, and by all "signs" it looked like we had guessed right.
Well we forgot 1 crucial thing. The tenders are not continuous. (They did run on a pretty regular schedule as we later found out)
So we waited in line for the next boat to run along side.
No Internet but she don't care! Anything is better than waiting around doing nothing.

After my daily dose of Vitamin D I went to the room and got the girls. We did not want to jockey for space on the first tenders so we just lingered around and went for a late breakfast.
Sweat Baby Jesus please just let us get over to the beach. I've been waiting all week for this!
Today we went to Morderno to give them a shot. It was pretty much buffet food that was not self serve. The menu was also way smaller than the regular buffet. They did have an omelet station and fresh waffles so that was enough for us.

Back to our regularly scheduled show -
Good Morning from GSC.
I have never tendered before but I have heard stories of many boats missing port due to weather. This was not going to be the case for us today. When I got topside the water was as calm as can be and there were no rain clouds to be found.
Off in the (very near) distance was Perfect Day at CooCoo Cay along with an Oasis Class ship.
I want to take a trip there but am going to wait a while until RC recoups some of their investment. Their prices are just not competitive at this time.
I must say that when I first saw GSC from the boat I was not too impressed. (I would later find out that the little one shared my same thoughts) The boat anchors along a rocky shoreline and a bluff wall blocks most of the view of the beach.
Looking over the side I saw the tender boats loading supplies and workers to man the island.

So I was going back over the review and noted that I never told you all how I got Mama and Teenie to go on the Bio tour before the cruise. Those who are following the VLOGS also can skip this part as you already know.
One of the main reasons I booked with BK was that they not only had kayak tours they also had river rafting tours as well. The boats are extra wide, fit 10 people, and if you fall you go into the belly of the boat not the drink. Also, the thin CANT!!!! flip over under regular circumstances. This eased their nerves enough to go along with the plan.

By some act of "GOD" Teeny was talked into joining in on the deck party games. This was like a Mother's Day Miracle. She is not one to come out of her shell easily but her little pool buddies convinced her to do so. Hooray for them.
She even enjoyed it but she did not want to show it. Top it off her team won!

Norwegian Sun 9/30-10/5 - Our Fall Break Cruise
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
Jetski Time!
Now I usually stay away from tours opting for free play on the skis when I can. That was not an option here. This was follow the leader style. The good news is they broke us up into small groups depending on your comfort level. I jumped in the experienced line and off we went. Our guide ran wide open the entire time doing s turns and barrel turns all across the bay. It was not free play but was close enough for me. His favorite saying was "GAS IS FREE SO DONT LET UP ON THE THROTTLE!"
About half way through we huddled up in the bay and they offered us free time to swim if we liked. The guide went diving and brought up a starfish for us.
Then off we went again!
Back at the dock there were no complaint from the group. Everyone had a good time.
