tlguinn_2000 started following Royal Caribbean changing its Covid testing policy Aug 8 , Shopping in Curacao , Window view at Teppanyaki?? and 2 others

Where is a good place to shop in Curacao? We of course want to pick up a Curacao T-shirt, but also other things that are unique to the region. We plan to spend most of the day touring around the island going to beaches but thought we would shop some in Willemstad. We thought we would ask the tour driver to drop us off in the downtown area and walk back to the ship. Possible? Also are there some places away from the town area that would be good for shopping?

Window view at Teppanyaki??
tlguinn_2000 replied to tlguinn_2000's topic in Royal Caribbean International
What time does Teppanyaki open for dinner? I thought if we made and early reservation and got there early that we may be able to get a window seat. We like to eat early anyway. -
How do you get a window view with Teppanyaki dinner? Book an early time? Be the first one there? Request a window view when making the reservation?

Why testing in Greece?
tlguinn_2000 replied to tlguinn_2000's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We are not sailing out of Greece. We are sailing to Greece from Italy. RC still says " Guests that are not "up to date" on their vaccination per EMA standards will need to take a test onboard in order to get off the ship in Greece and Spain)" There is no vaccination requirement in Greece. -
Why testing in Greece? From the us Embassy website: Entry Restrictions to Greece Relaxed: As of May 1, 2022, travelers entering Greece are no longer required to display a certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19, or evidence of a negative test result from SARS-CoV-2 infection. But, on the RC FAQ page it says: Updated Vaccination Protocol for U.S. and European Cruises Departing on or after September 5, 2022 Beginning September 5, all travelers, regardless of vaccination status, can cruise on the following itineraries, as long as they meet testing requirements to board.(Note: Guests that are not "up to date" on their vaccination per EMA standards will need to take a test onboard in order to get off the ship in Greece and Spain) It says "up to date" but there is no vaccine required.

As of August 5, 2022, the total number of tests for coronavirus infections conducted in Italy reached 238 million. Italy has a population of about 59 million. All countries still have millions of test. They, i.e. the governments, are not going to just let them end up in the trash when they can continue to make money on them. Just do a search and you can find out how to make money with Covid testing.
