  1. Thank you very much for the detailed answers @martincath
  2. Is there an option to check luggage at Canada Place? I tried the website, but couldn't find anything. We have a late day flight on the day we complete our cruise, and are wondering about the ability to check our luggage for the day and walk around before heading to the airport. I did see the HOHO option offered by our cruise line that includes luggage storage for the day, but not sure this is what we want to do. We are also going to ask at the hotel we stay at the night before the cruise if they would be willing to store luggage for us on the day we return. Any ideas/options appreciated.
  3. This will be our first cruise since 2020, so perhaps selecting a boarding time will make a difference. Having said that we are still leaning towards a later time for embarking.
  4. Thank you for all the replies/ideas/opinions. Of course this sounds the best, and maybe we'll give it a try! Based on the comments, I will check and see how many other ships are in port that day as well.
  5. We have been on 4 cruises, all leaving from Miami. Each cruise we chose the earliest boarding time we could, and usually had to wait in lines through security, check in, then wait to board. Truly one memorable wait was late Feb 2020 when we stood in line for close to 3 hours (though of course that was just as covid was hitting) In May, we are sailing Celebrity from Vancouver to Alaska and considering a later in the day boarding time, hoping to avoid the crowds and maybe some waiting time. I'd appreciate any thoughts on later vs early boarding time. We are in Aqua class, but I don't think that provides any priority boarding. Thank you!
  6. Yes, exactly! 7:00pm would be our preferred time. I understand now the idea of wanting to have two "seatings". I'll go ahead and book 6:30pm. Thanks to all who provided input.
  7. No, not booked for anything else but maybe I'll go ahead and book and then try to change once on board (?) Thanks for the replies.
  8. Looking ahead to our May cruise, and considering using some OBC for specialty dining. Specialty restaurants are showing only the above times, I've tried different days. Is this usual or is it because it is so far in advance? Thanks.
  9. We booked in October for a May sailing. Today, I went in to check prices on the same cruise, same cabin class - the price has gone up by $1000. Glad we didn't wait for a "sale" to book!
  10. NCTeacher - perhaps check again with your TA? Our TA was able to upgrade for us - we are sailing in May. Cheers!
  11. Thanks again for the replies and recommendations. Much appreciated!
  12. Thank you. I’ll look more closely at the Icy Strait excursions. Good point about more to do in Juneau.
  13. Just booked an Alaska cruise for end of May on Celebrity, and starting to look at excursions. I am thinking one whale watching tour would be great, but not sure if there is much of a difference as to where/which port we take the tour. So far, I am looking at excursions through Celebrity. Options we are considering for the whale watching are Icy Strait Point and Juneau. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  14. If booking Aqua class are you restricted to eating in Blu or can you still go to the MDR? Thanks.
