Several years ago we did Kingston to Montreal r/t on the Canadian Empress
it was not cheap but lots of interesting places & a fun cruise

I am surprised you do not stop before Halifax but I think you will be in the Seaway at least one day as the ships have to go slow because of the whales

We leave from Montreal & have several stops before hitting Sydney NS ending in Miami
I would read the terms & Conditions/Ticket contract of the cruise line you are sailing with
Our cruise line of choice requirements
"Passports must be valid six months from the date of trip completion. "
I would not to be turned away at the pier
It is tricky
You fly into IAH then have to get a ride/shuttle to Galveston about 1 hr away
We have family there so they took us to the port
I would fly in a day or more early get a hotel close to Galveston or close by
For those that do not have Nexus or trusted traveller or whatever has anyone used this program?
https://www.torontopearson.com/en/departures/yyz-express
Was it worth going through or just stick to the regular security line?
We are not getting Nexus so do not bother suggesting that option
The auto tips are pooled
If you remove the auto tips then anything you give the staff is supposed to be turned into the POOL
It is up to the staff to deal with the cash tips so I would not worry about it
JMO
I have heard they have to
Those that remove the auto tip & tip privately that money goes into the POOL to be shared
Once it is established you did not remove the auto tip they get the money back that is why I put our cabin number on the envelope
Now whether the staff member turns it in is another story
it does not matter they have to turn them in
If you do not remove the auto tips then staff member will get the $ back
We usually give the staff an envelope with a note of thanks & cabin # so the Purser can check for auto tips
I agree
Had my flights changed twice rebooked one 2nd one just cancelled for a full refund & booked a flight more convenient for us
Fingers crossed they do not change again LOL
Yes you have options when the airlines change your booked flights
I do not think anyone has a definite start date
just keep checking in 2024

I agree with you but when we booked SM was not announced yet
We do cruise only anyway
The excursions , the 2 nd wifi are of no interest to us
Free wine with dinner would work but it is not a deal breaker at this point
I will just pick up some extra bottles of wine along the way 😉
