Go to insuremytrip.com Great resource for insurance. Just input your info and a whole lot of searches come back. What I use.
I second that. If you have questions, call them for a courteous answer. I use them every trip!

There is no drink station near by. However, when we were on a few weeks ago they had pitchers of water and tea inside at the coffee bar.
Unless there's a bar near by, I would call that poor planning!

Being "P&A" Is in a unique area on the Dream, I was wondering where the nearest drink station might be.
Thanks in advance! -
Once you're out on your balcony at night, your eyes will adjust quickly. In fact, the light from inside your cabin may be enough to "find your way around".

Is anyone else experiencing the latest CCL site "brain cramp"? IT happens, I guess.....
-
"Back in the day," CCL used the older cruise dock until they built Mahogany Bay. I still remember the partially sunken ship at the old site.

I refer to their laundry service as "Boil&Bake". As far as stuffing the paper bag they give you, I don't roll my clothes. What I do is bring a dollar store plastic place mat, and place it between layers of wash and slide it out for each layer. Plus, take a picture of the laundry list being sent out, just in case.;)

First, thanks for all the replies!:)
Next; Either way, I ALWAYS bring an extended multi plug, plus a 2.0 Amp multi USB dongle just in case!;)
-
My two cents; skip the pre bought beer. Buy "beer by the bucket" on board, and store it in your cabin fridge. Not much savings, but, you you will have cold beer.;)

For me it lessened in both intensity and length after each cruise.
I don't feel it at all anymore, and kind of miss it.
Though I feel the motion on the ship it has never bothered me.
Ditto for me. I used to enjoy our stay at a motel after so I could pretend I was in one of the long passageways and feel the sway. ;)

Alas, we "Yankees" seem to be S.O.L. . :(

We have never gotten insurance - our medical coverage reimburses us for any treatment outside of the country, we only pay what we would have as a copay while we are home.
It sounds like your medical is good for you. (Ours covers most of this also.) BUT, will your insurance cover emergency medical evacuation, loss of luggage, trip cancellation for various reasons to name a few.
I'm not mocking you, I'm just reminding that trip insurance covers the other "little things". ;)

We used to fly in early on the day of the cruise until a mechanical delay caused us to board just before the ship left. (Which isn't allowed now....) Never again.
Spend the extra $ for a room and come in the day before.;)
-
I'm wondering what you would pay/tip the rickshaw drivers, if available, at the piers?
-
I used to book same day flights, (non-stop if possible) until one flight was grounded (with passengers on board!)until some minor repair was completed. We got to our cabin just in time for the muster drill.
That was before the tighter restrictions as to how late you can board the ship.
Just saying..........
-
How does one go about inquiring about an alternate Muster Drill location for those who can't tolerate the length or heat for very long.
Thanks in advance!
-
Being I don't feel the need for all the extra distractions, I say the Spirit Class ships suite me just fine. ;)
-
Yes, the Muster Drill can be tedious. CCL's "new" system of scanning your S&S card before you line up has helped immensely.
Another thing to consider is all those CCL people conducting the drill do have their work waiting for them as soon as the drill is finished.
Yes the OP's idea has some merit, but I can't see it well received.

Try Cruise TT.com

That's a sure sign you've been cruising for to long .:D But I do see your point.
I think in the beginning of your cruising life the ports of call are important to you.
After you've been there and done that , not so much.
I can relate to this statement.
Plus, the experience of the "abandoned ship" feeling is peaceful!
-
My vote would be for 8457. I've had this cabin on a few ships, and never got "swabbed down". Yes, you can hear chairs scraping..... Lido is only one flight up..
Also, 8457's balcony is one third wider than the other afts.
Of course, your choice! :D
-
Last May on the Miracle, it was two pairs of headphones. Both were given away as soon as we got home.
-
If 8468 is still available, snag it!
But, be warned, once you book an aft, other "standard" balcony cabins will pale in comparison!
(Look at my signature. Our first two cruises were inside cabins, the rest aft, aft, aft, etc....)
Oh, did I mention I prefer aft cabins?;p

Do any ships or ports NOT have this procedure yet? Just read that the Dream now does this , , ,
My sister just got off Paradise, and her "bill" was slid under her door. IE no mailbox.
Carnival Cruise Lines "Fun Shops"

A few years back, CCL arranged to change the company that handled the shops. (Realize, these shops are only on a consignment arrangement with CCL,(not run by CCL), but selling what THEY think will make $$) Thus, you now see so much less ship specific merchandise, if any. (Tee shirts, etc. come to mind.)
Myself, I miss this.
