@TxTeach79that room looks perfect for a one night precruise stay! Only question is what's up with the roof in the photo with the light, looks like unpainted or leaky roof?

@TxTeach79....regarding your roof issue @Saint Greghad a similar issue prior to a cruise and he posted about it all during his review so those of us who followed his review get your vibe! I know you will have an amazing cruise you and @HelloItsMeB.

@richwmn...THANKS for this post. It got me to thinking. We have an 18 day Hawaii cruise departing January 30th on Koningsdam coming up and the online TA I used NEVER sent me the HAL Booking paperwork like you shared, just their agency paperwork. I called them this morning and requested HAL copy as I wanted to make sure our OBC was showing, I received it, printed it and will take it with us just in case. My current TA sends me a HAL copy each time I make a payment or any booking change. GOOD INFO! Thanks again. Susan

It depends if you have the Signature or Elite pkg. HAL has a description of both packages on their web site. You can also search You Tube for good explanations.

@Haljo1935..thank you for all your posts! Interesting to read of the extra tax when in Hawaii waters; also interesting to read that the casino will remain closed until Saturday; we don't gamble anyway. Sounds like a bit of rough water coming your way. Guess I'd better pack some ginger or something just in case.

FYI...we are considering this for our February 2024 cruise stop in Hilo, price is now $42. Seems like a good way to get an overview of Hilo. We are not interested in VNP. We'd prefer the tour and then head to Carlsmith Beach to snorkel then shuttle back to the ship. HAL does not offer any Hop on Hop Off for Hilo.

Enjoy your stay in Honolulu! Curious to hear if there are taxi and/or other transportation waiting at the pier. We will need transportation to Hilton Hawaiian Village Grand Islander Bus Depot to pu our ride to Kualoa Ranch for our UTV excursion. Transportation departs Bus Depot at 10:30 so we want to arrive there by 10 am. Thanks. Susan

@Haljo1935..thanks so much I didn't think HAL used the door hangers. We are pre breakfast coffee as well so worth the tip to have coffee in our room while waking up. 34 days and counting down! How is your weather today?

Yup I know exactly what you mean as I am one of those HAL folks now. My party all night days are in the rear view mirror.....spa all day days are more my speed now for the achy breaky joints at 71!

Question for anyone on this cruise. We are on the January 30th sailing. Our 1st time to Hawaii and our 1st cruise since the shut down (so I am rusty). Question regarding Room Service.....we have the HAL pkg.....but we prefer morning coffee in our room on the balcony. Can I order room service for morning delivery at a time the night before? I see that HAL does not use the written slips only call on the phone that is why I ask. Thanks in advance. Susan

I have pre purchased the spa pass for our January 30th 18 day Hawaii cruise and I plan on using it regularly...oh those heated lounges, steam room, and therapy pool here I come with my Kindle.

While I am not on this cruise I sure can related to "yappy dogs"...our neighbors wakes us up every morning yapping at 6:30 am and carries on from there off and on all day long. The worst part is they do nothing about it....sigh....
