  1. For us... It's worth it. One the cost is factored in. Two no surprises. Three last cruise as hard as I tried I couldn't hit 15 drinks in one day.

For you. It depends on How much you plan on drinking. And if you want to know how much your tab is going to be.

  2. Before I start, I want to say that I am neither a Carnival cheerleader or critic, I just wanted to share my experience, take it or leave it, your choice. My wife and I have cruised 5 times, three with Carnival, and I was a little bit concerned seeing all the negative reviews about the Victory prior to our sailing, Hopefully this will help someone else.

We purchased FTTF, which was a great choice for us. We arrived at the port about 11:00, were directed right to the counter, received the sign and sail cards, and went to sit and wait for boarding. At about 12:15 they started boarding, we were on the ship by 12:30. Our cabin wasn't ready, so we went to explore the ship. Our cabin was ready and the luggage was delivered by 1:30.

We met our room steward Victor, who introduced himself, and asked if we wanted our room serviced in the morning, evening or both. We chose both. Victor was very low key, we didn't see him much, but everything was taken care of and worked out fine.We are pretty easy going, so we really didn't have any special requirements that needed attention over and above what we received. The last night of our cruise, we needed an additional luggage tag, we called Victor, and he was at our door in less than 5 minutes. Can't ask more than that!

Victor on Deck 7??? I loved Victor in January. He was awesome.

  3. We hung a white board on my most recent cruise inbetween our cabins. It was to let people know where we were or set a meeting time. It ended up being a fun joke thing between the people in the state rooms around us but it helped for a couple days. IF sharing a cabin you can hang it inside the cabin.

  4. You never know. They move them around on the same ship. They move them from ship to ship. We had the same cabin last year in March and again in July on Carnival Magic--we had different cabin stewards on each sailing.

I see you like the Magic. We just booked a June 2017 family cruise for us and our 3 kids on the Magic.

  5. How long do stewards typically work on a ship? DO they always have the same area of the ship? The reason I ask this is I was on a cruise two weeks ago and we had the most amazing steward. I booked the same ship same cabin for a cruise in October. I am wondering if by chance we will get the same steward. That would rock. Anyone know?
