  1. Nice to see Celebrity doing the right thing.

Regent has a cruise starting in Haifa, Israel this Sunday. It was then going to stay an additional 2 nights before it was going to sail to Egypt. They moved the embarkation port to Istanbul, replaced the 2 days in Israel with 2 days at sea and they are still sailing to Egypt.

Also they are telling clients no FCC'S or refunds.

I would like to see something in writing that RSSC is not working with the guests for a refund or re-book option,  I have not seen such a letter and I’m onboard..

They have been extremely accommodating and informative. They are doing their job to keep us SAFE there is nothing more important than that!
they have the right to change the itinerary at any time to do so.

    Regent Cruise Package Guests

Guests who reserved a Regent cruise and flight package, we are currently working to reschedule your flights.  Once your new schedule is complete, you will receive an updated itinerary by email.  Unfortunately, due to the condensed timeline, we are unable to accommodate custom air requests.  If your new itinerary will require a pre-cruise hotel stay, we will update your booking accordingly and send a new confirmation.  We have proactively secured accommodations at the InterContinental Istanbul.  If applicable, your pre-cruise hotel will include transfers and breakfast daily.  All other meals will be at your leisure.

Guests who secured a custom air itinerary for their original schedule will receive a refund.

    Cruise Only

Guests who arranged independent air, hotel and transfers will need to contact providers and reschedule accordingly.

All receipts for change fees or other out of pocket expenses related to this itinerary change, should be kept for any claims submitted to your travel insurance.

We are not offering refunds or Future Cruise Credits for guests who prefer to cancel their reservation entirely.  Normal cancellation penalties will apply.

If you have any questions, please contact your Travel Advisor or Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Reservation Department.

We look forward to welcoming you aboard Seven Seas Voyager.

  4. Regent has said what they are doing.

“We are not offering refunds or Future Cruise Credits for guests who prefer to cancel their reservation entirely. Normal cancellation penalties will apply.“

we were booked too when St Petersburg got taken off of the itinerary.  But we had the option of cancelling or changing to another itinerary.

Going to be a “lovely sailing” 😂 with a bunch of passengers who don’t want to be onboard.

  5. This is awful.   My parents will NEVER sail Regent again.
They would have been happy with a future cruise credit.
not even a refund. We understand that they can change itineraries.   But this is a fundamental trip change.

we are checking with AMEX on a chargeback.

  6. My parents are scheduled to be on the Voyager next week sailing from Jerusalem.  Mr hey have 1 pre night and then 2 nights on the ship in Israel.
They are besides themselves nervous seeing what is going on on TV.  Called Regent and no word yet on what they are doing.

Does anyone know what they are doing on the current cruise that is supposed to be ending in Jerusalem?

I don’t think there is any way they can debark people and fly them home in this situation…

  7. Hi All,

We are a party of 3, 2 cabins.  We are sailing Dec 19 on the Quest.  We have a reservation one night at TK.  I mistakenly took myself off of the reservation. 😞

I Was trying to change times

The reservation still shows a "The Grill by Thomas Keller 7:45 PM Table of 4", in our reservation and in our traveling companions reservation.

But in each reservation it states reserved for 1.

Will they still give us the table for 4

I called reservations and they said since TK reservations are not showing available they cant do anything.

  8. We spoke to the food and beverage director and he did say they are having staffing issues.

I know many places are.  But if you know you are offering a lesser product,   Should you not lower the fare.  or be offering some type of compensation.

I think companies will start looking at this as the new norm.   That they can get away with lackluster service and say “service issues”.  We were just at a Four Seasons for 10 days and the service could not have been better

my question becomes if you are not offering me the same product as in the past why am I playing the same price or more?

  9. Hi all.

We are on the Sojourn now for 16 days.
The ship is looking very tired.  Needs a refresh bad.  Hard to think this is going off on a world cruise as soon as we are back.

Food has been very hit and miss.  A few good dishes.   Nothing amazing.  But far  more misses.  Service in the dining room has been poor at best.  20 min after being seated to be greeted.  Long waits between courses.   Taking forever to get a glass refilled.  Staff seems overwhelmed.   Food arriving Luke warm,   Dried out sauces on plates.
Pool staff takes a drink order and you may get it 20 min later.  We had a few occasions of not even getting the drink.

we have sailed with Seabourn many times and are big fans.

But this is a far cry from the product it was.

if anyone has any questions about anything onboard I’ll be happy to answer

    • Thanks 1
  10. Forget food….we are currently on the Sojourn.  Service has been lousy at best in many of the dining areas.  Not greeted a r a table for 20 min after sitting down.  35 min between courses.    Food luke warm at best.   Dishes sitting so long the sauce creates a skin film.  It doesn’t matter how much money you spend on food,  if your service staff cannot hold up their end the product seriously suffers.
