  1. The only time I ordered raw Oysters from the seafood shack was out of New Orleans so they were Gulf oysters. The oysters will depend on which port you sail out of.
  2. I second the turo option. The person I used had the car parked right in the downtown garage. Short walk to the vehicle and I was on my way.
  3. Was on the freedom as the first ship after the fire. The soot would constantly fall on deck 10 and they had to constantly vacuum it up. Never seen that on any other cruise.
  4. I am also on the June 11th cruise with a big group. We got the RU1 promotion as well as the $300obc which we would lose if they canceled. So we would still make out but it would be the 3rd time we had to reschedule. Total of 6 rooms
  5. You can take the protein powder.. but like crewsweeper mentioned you could also just order two steaks at dinner. Or order 2-3 appetizers of shrimp. Natural protein is way better then the powder protein. At least it tastest better.
  6. They do but they overcook them. Last time e I went I just got them raw.
  7. I assume you only have a deposit down. So it would be cheaper to cancel the cruise and rebook under 3. But in all honesty all you have to do is call your PVP and they will likely just fix it for you since the cruise is so far out. Can't hurt to ask.
  8. We had insurance but never filed because I was assured I would get the FCC. It did take a few months for them to review the documents I sent in but I eventually got the FCC. I believe the insurance company would want proof from Carnival that we didn't get FCC and had a monetary loss so we didn't pursue the insurance angle.
  9. Well at Xmas time the phone lines were jam packed and you couldn't get through to anyone knowledgable. I don't know if my PVP was on vacation or just busy but I couldn't get a hold of him either. Also back then you had to get a test two days prior to cruising and I was trying to get the other PAX to retest.
  10. Had this happen at Xmas time. This is what we did because we didn’t want to pay the single supplement fair. No show like everyone mentioned but while on the ship getting ready to sail I shot off a email message to my PVP with the positive test info asking what to do. Let him know I was on the cruise and didn’t have email access for the week. Didn’t have to pay the single supplement and got FCC. I wanted a paper trail that I contacted carnival prior to the ship sailing. It took a few months but I eventually got he FCC for the cruiser.
