  1. Thanks Gratter! Our VP was not explicit about how it worked with their BA charter but did state clearly that if you were on a scheduled flight or had arranged your own, that you should get your cases off the carousel etc. Doesn't sound as if there's any difference.

    We're travelling to Rome on the 8th of October on a Cunard chartered BA flight.

    Is the hold luggage transferred straight to the ship or is as normal-collect it from the carousel and take it to the coach for transfer to the ship?

  3. Thanks Pennbank! I'll certainly add another long frock to be safe! Wouldn't have questioned 3 Formals in a week on QM but thought it unusual on QV.

  4. Bizarre, isn't it? Chrome didn't ever work on the Apples but Safari used to and both used to work on the PC.

     

    Another VP query. On V616A, 8th-15th of October and VP shows 3 Formal nights yet another forum member has a hard copy VP which shows the much more usual 2 Formals in one week! Anyone ever heard of such a disparity before?

  5. My "To Do" list just birls round and round but never opens, whether Google or Safari. Anyone else had this problem? Tried the PC too, in case it was just the iPad.

  6. Hmm, but if you live and booked in the UK cancellation would have meant loosing all you had paid.

    When I first found out about this I tried to transfer onto another cruise on QV later on in July and they wouldn't let me do that, despite being willing to pay the additional charges and the difference in cost between the two cruises. Cunard doesn't consider the substitution to be a "material change" so I think any ideas about OBC, compensation or even a free drink seem beyond their idea of customer service.

    Are Cunard kidding?!? I wouldn't go to that place if paid. In despair.

  8. They've changed the itinerary and the shore excursion lists but are not showing any to buy for the two substitutes. All that before an email or call to the passengers.

    I got a bland, generic (grammatically inaccurate throughout) response to my Facebook post which didn't address my query re transfer.

    Not impressed with Customer Service.

  9. Thanks to all who posted with information re Volos (don't know how to tag!). Unfortunately, for me anyway, Istanbul was the main factor in booking the cruise and I agree with Tangoqueen. Apparently Celebrity changed almost instantly to Athens when they cancelled so I would have expected Cunard to have had a better plan already considered and prepared.

    Trying my TA to make an effort to transfer to another cruise but seems utterly disinterested. Told me that I'd have to cancel my Jet2 and EasyJet flights as you can't make changes. Aye right!! Done it before.
