http://herodstours.com/contact.html
There is a contact form on this page ^^^^^
I am also interested in a more comprehensive review of this tour...is it a boat both to and from the jalousie beach? Does it make stops in Marigot, Canaries, Anse Chastanet, and Soufrierre. Do you dock and walk around or just view them from the water?
From Girlscruise2011 review above, it sounds like you can go to the waterfalls OR the Sulphur Springs (volcano), but not both...can anyone confirm?
Would love to hear more!:D
This is the description of the tour- http://herodstours.com/land_sea_safari.html
On the outskirts of Soufriere, stop at the “Cold Falls” for a refreshing swim in the crystal clear pool beneath a waterfall amidst the lush surrounding beauty
Adventure continues to Sulphur Springs, the world’s only drive-thru/walk thru active volcano, one of St. Lucia’s most notable National Parks;

Congrats to all the winners.. is this a sweep they run yearly? and does one have to have previously book to gain an entry? just curious.. I'd love to win too.
-
Thanks JK
Well I have been Spring cleaning our basement and found some wrist Sea-bands that I claim do not work..
So I just packed my ginger root, refill prescription of meclizine and ginger rock candy... I want to be ready for that ferry across PDC to Cozumel.
Will use all of the above too when we cruise and do boat tours.
-
thanks for sharing your photos :-)
10 days and counting before getting to Playa del Carmen for 3 days then off to Cozumel for 5
We too have been to GC 4x and absolutely love it there, may go again next year.
So after reading here and on TA where we are staying is within walking distance to the Money Bar ( El Presidente) where we plan to snorkel plus right off our resort.
I too want to explore the southern end since it is closer to us, so I was told to get to Playa Palancar then just board a boat tour to get to El Cielo ? (not sure if it goes there but we can find someone who does.) and the Columbia reefs nearby.. $35 http://buceopalancar.com/index_en.html

thanks again.. I just clicked on the first link and then used the arrows to see the full album.
My husband uses a program that takes care of that washed out look underwater it makes the photos clearer and you can crop the photo too.
Have you used it here? The water is crystal clear!

Awesome, thanks for the info about Akumal..
I have been watching the webcam and plan to get there early and rent a golf cart to go around the area , Half-Moon bay and possibly Yul Ka as was mentioned on tripadvisor by some regular visitors.
-
Thanks for the tip about being careful while in the water, we have a diving flag we will probably use even though we are not divers but at least it will be more visible.
We are staying at El Presidente for 5 days and it's about 1 mile down the road from Money Bar.. which I prefer to call formerly known as Dzul-Ha :D
This will be our 3rd time to Cozumel but the longest stay.
Before getting to Coz we will be at Paradisus La Esmeralda across the way at Playa del Carmen and plan on getting to Akumal for snorkeling there too and Half-Moon bay.
-
thanks for the photos.. that is good to know there are steps into the water.

OH MY goodness that would be disastrous if that happened to my husband as he has a new hip replaced. So sorry your dh got hurt , healing does take time on a fall like that. Awesome photos, thank you!

I found this on NCL site when I was surfing for late 2015 itineraries:
Norwegian Gem will offer 10-day Eastern Caribbean cruises from New York from October 10, 2015 through April 11, 2016, cruising to San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; and Tortola, British Virgin Islands. This new itinerary provides a full day in San Juan, Puerto Rico, giving guests more time to explore this flavorful island or experience its world famous El Yunque rainforest.
I don't have the URL for the complete info list but you might be able to search for it on the NCL site.
thank you!

It's not a matter of signing up for these offers. It depends on your play at your land casinos Or if you play at an NCL casino you sign up for a players card on the ship.
oh ok thanks our first NCL cruise is in Dec but I am already a Harrahs casino member.

Snorkeled there just a few weeks ago. We actually didn't utilize the bar at all, just went to snorkel and had our own equipment, but the place looked lovely and the snorkeling was fantastic!
Can't wait! 19 days to go, we will be staying nearby at El Presidente and will have our own snorkeling gear too!
-
ok thanks.. looking ahead just in case we want to cruise again for our anniversary as we are cruising this Dec. on the Pearl from Miami .

In my experience Chase Sapphire Preferred along with United Mileage Explorer got us to Hawaii and back in first class just this past March.
Every credit card is different.
I used to have capital one and hated how long it took to get points for miles.
After switching to airline cc I had free flights in no time.
The fees depend on the airline.. Husband and I are flying free from ROC to FLL with Jetblue and $5.00 in taxes in December.
Returning with United on Dec 22nd free with miles and $10 in taxes.
USair is quite different as they even charge a $35 award fee but still cheaper than the original cost.. flying from ROC to CUN end of the month paid $70
Flew with AirTran just as cheaply as JetBlue from ROC to SFO in September.
I have yet to pay 1/4th of the price for any airfare in the last 5 years and we have gone to Hawaii, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico , Grand Cayman.
-
Where do you sign up to get these offers?
-
Plan ahead.. get credit cards with sign up bonuses for free airfare.
Husband and I have with almost every airline.

I was looking at the Dec 2014 cruise departing from NYC and heading to the Caribbean and wondered why there isn't the same NYC departure itinerary in Dec of 2015?
Will they add it later in the year?
just curious

I have found 3 websites all with different names leading to John at Cozumel cruise exercusions dot net
A Pennsylvania phone number that does not accept voice messages, same address in Coz and my paypal receipt with his business name on it.
I have contacted numerous other tour operators for my upcoming December South Caribbean cruise and at most have waited 2 days for a reply.
I sent him a deposit and no confirmation nor receipt was sent to me when he finally contacted me he was claiming he only takes reservations for this other person tour operator but that it isn't him.
So I asked him for this other person's name and phone number and he has yet to send it.
It took over a week for him to respond to me only because I posted on FB.
I just want my money back.
I will be in Cozumel at the end of the month and I will book my own tour at Playa Palancar which the destination experts and other frequent visitors say is easy to do and not to bother booking online.

This is his first reply,
Thank you for contacting us, and could you please let us know when you are coming so that we may check if we have availability. We could certainly pick you up from the resort dock or the Money Bar.
Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Mike C.

This is his reply... so yea... his signature is for both Cozumel Snorkel dot net and dot com
Thank you so much for inquiring, but we do not have availability
You can contact John directly at cozumelcruiseexcursions@gmail.com
They have really great trip advisor reviews and are very reliable.
They even help us manage our reservations, but we are creating our own because they no longer are helping out with this because they said they had problems with other tour operators, and have been getting a bad name because of other tour operators like cozumel-tours.net because they never respond to their customers on time.
Beware of tour operators who do not own and operate their own snorkel tours, because they tend to use anyone, so you do not know who you are really booking with.
These places include cozumeltours.com cozumel-tours.com cozumeltours.net cozumel-tours.net and are all owned by the same people.
Thanks I hope you have a great time during your stay in Cozumel
Sincerely,
Mike C.

Interesting email I just received today since my posting on his FB page. John claims he is not the tour company that I reserved with. Cozumel-tours.net but that he handles their reservations ( well he didn't handle mine very well since he didn't confirm or send me a receipt, only paypal did)
He says that he is helping out this other tour company , that is ridiculous... he asked me politely to remove the FB post which I did but I have posted everywhere else about the tour company and will see if he sees those posts too.
On TripAdvisor there are several complaints also.
If you look at threads where Destination Experts reply they will tell you that about 5-6x a week someone posts the same glorified review about John's company. They are fake since a lot of these people only have 1 review and when you look at their history of postings they don't seem to have inquired or asked for help in their planning
Time will tell if there is any resolution, apparently the Cozumel-tour.net I booked with isn't physically in Coz and only books for other tour companies.. anyways.. the plot thickens..

EDIT:
I just checked my email after posting this and had an email from cozumel cruise excursions dot net waiting for me from earlier this morning. They emailed to apologize again for the mixups we had and said that they were taking my advice and disassociating themselves with cozumel snorkel dot net. They said they had their office broken into a few months ago and computers were stolen and the owner's wife has been ill so the last few months have been rocky but they now have some additional help to fill in and they are getting back on track. After talking to them yesterday and today it seems they are really making an effort to fix the issues that we experienced.
Can you tell me what email address was that ? and you talked to them? what phone #?
thank you
