  1. I was just going to post a thread about this and so glad there is one already.

There are 2 companies with the name Cozumel Cruise Excursions one is dot net the other dot com.

I sent $20 via paypal through the dot net website several days ago.. no email confirmation.... NOTHING for days now.

Paypal business name Cozumel Cruise Excursions

    Email Info@cozumelcruiseexcursions.net and CozumelCruiseExcursions@gmail.com

neither have responded to my emails regarding questions about the snorkel tour

The phone numbers listed are either disconnected ( one in PA the other in FL goes to voice mail but no calls back)

I sent a complaint email by mistake to CozumelCruiseExcursions DOT COM

and they have informed me the following:

We have received so many emails such as yours and read many negative comments online by clients who have understandably mistaken our company for this new site. This other start up site is a disgrace and sadly we have no legal recourse or we would sue them and get them off the internet so they can stop ripping people off. I am very sorry but you did not book through our company. I can tell you that you are not the first to contact our company with a similar complaint.

So I am not sure why people are getting responses by booking a jeep tour but not a snorkel tour.

I have started a dispute via paypal and once I am in Coz beginning of May for 5 days I will stop in the office and get this refund if I have to.

Thanks for posting Frank's number because this John is responsible for the tours booked and refunds as his name was on the paypal account too.

  2. 340-998-6223 this number is NOT toll free as I just asked my cell phone provider but only 20 cents per minute so I will attempt to call in the next few days if I don't get a response by Monday.

Someone I was chatting online with on TripAdvisor said he just called him on his landline so the number works apparently but their website is a mess.

    ;-(

  3. Please find out if there are any independent operators with websites that will do an Island & Beach Tour or just an Island Tour with no shopping component.

DITTO !!! Arriving on a Sunday is tough I have already encountered 2 private tour operators off on that day and another that starts the day with 3 hours shopping. thanks

  4. I sent them an email via their website a week or so ago and had a response in less than 24 hours.....of course it was bad news....because he told me that they were completely full for the day we were interested in :(

    What day was that for?

I just called and left a message.

  5. I just did this excursion in January and I enjoyed it. Herod and his crew were very friendly and very informative about their island......

I enjoyed the excursion and would definately recommend it. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask.

I am too looking at this tour.. is there a land portion too included? seems like it by the description http://herodstours.com/island_sp_coastal_cruise.html

  6. Can't seem to find reviews of this company on this forum.

I want to know how much time is spent on the beaches they say on the tour that they stop at such as Arashi Beach and Baby Beach.

I have sent them an email inquiring but just wanted to see if anyone recommends them.

    thanks

  7. Not sure about May weather but you can access the National Park webcam and also check NOA website.

I was there just last week and even though the forecast was for 70% chance of rain there was none and the high winds pushed all the clouds away for the most part

It was quite windy and a bit chilly at night at the Jaggar museum area to see the glow at night but other than that a light jacket was useful for the weather changes.

  8. I heard from him last night. He said 90 for 3 hours for the 2 of us and then 20 per hour after that. Is this his usual price or should I haggle? Honestly that seems high.

Sent from my XT901 using Tapatalk

It's actually $5 lower than most charge for both initial and per hour after according to all the posts and on toursplaza dot com it is $107 for up to 4 people. Check tripadvisor for same information and posts.

  9. We travel, not just cruise, excessively as family, ( 2teens) as a couple married 20 years, or by ourselves. Credit card points and sign-up bonus have been a major part of our travel. I churn credit card, so we both get the card, use it for the benefit and then close it. We pay off the card each month, since items purchased are usually gas, groceries, phone, cable, insurance- home and car, some utilities and co-pay on doctor bills. This year, we had a high end trip to Hawaii (Mau and Kauai), one first class ticket to Jamaica, and 2 r/t ticket to Houston for our cruise, majority covered by points valued at about $7,000. Right now with Southwest, you each get 2 free tickets for getting their card, a value of up to $880 times 2. I decide where I want to go and what card to get for the best value. Next year I am going to UK and Switzerland so I am using one of the Chase cards with a sign up bonus of 60K (target offer, the ones in the mail) or $775 toward any travel. In a year I should easily have enough for the ticket or to book a cruise. The credit card company rewards us for purchasing everyday, needed items, and paying off the bill at the end of the month. I just used points to get gift cards for Starbucks, Chilli and Red Robin = $75.

THIS!!! We retirees just started a couple of years back aggressively as before I would just get a cc for a hotel stay or an airline cc for airfare.

We traveled to CR in 2011 quite inexpensively with airfare and hotels covered for a 2 week stay.

This year we were able to get to SF in F class by getting AirTran cc and hotel cc like SPG, Priority ( now called IHG), Citi and Amex Hilton for 7 days.

And now in Jan. we have again airfare covered and hotels to Hawaii for 7 days.

We have a cruise booked for next year and am working on getting the Barclay's World Arrival card which gives you $400 towards any traveling expenses multiply that times 2 and we will have $800 covered .

Already have the points for rt airfare and hotel stays pre and post cruise.

Whichever way you save, it feels good not to have to pay very much for it once the cruise ends. ( bills)

  10. What is your estimate of travel time on a Saturday from Islamorada to arrive at the FL cruise port at around 10:30/11 AM?

We have always wanted to drive the bridge to Keywest and explore the area. We are planning to arrive at FLL at noon (on a Thursday), rent a car, and spend two nights somewhere in the Florida Keys.

Do you think Islamorada would be a good base for us?

Or should be spend the nights somewhere a little closer to Miami like Key Largo or even Miami?

    Thank you for your input.

It depends on what dates you are going and what events are scheduled for Key Largo or Islamorada since it's basically all one lane until you get to Key Largo. Any events will slow the traffic down considerably.

Spending 2 nights gives you more leisure time to explore so yes staying in Islamorada has a lot to explore and enjoy some great restaurants and unique shops Rain Barrel artisans ( huge lobster statue ) From Islamorada the drive would be around 1 1/2 hour to Key West. Again making sure there aren't any events in the rest of the Keys to slow you down.

I have not driven in that direction.. we come usually come from Orlando and drive straight through avoiding Miami altogether.

Even though I have stayed 2 mos in Key Largo I would just plan on stopping at John Pennekamp and maybe the Shell store. I find KL to be dirty and not as nice as the rest of the Keys

Check Calendar of Events on this site for each of the keys

    http://www.fla-keys.com/gettinghere/

  11. Thank you very much, it helps.

I know a veeeery long day, but we will do this one time in life and after this we will have a relaxing time at a 22 day cruise:D

Not sure what you are looking to do in Key West but I find the previous keys much more interesting . Key Largo , Islamorada, Marathon, Bahia Honda

We have been spending our winters in the keys last few years and depending what you want to see and do for a day I would think visiting the Everglades would be much more memorable.

In Key Largo you can visit John Pennekamp and go on kayaks through the canals, go snorkeling, take a glass bottom boat tour

    just my 2 cents
