We did this exactly in March of 2020 on the Reflection. It was to be our first back to back. As Covid spiraled and the country closed down we decided to cancel the 2nd leg under the new CWC program. We were able to contact Celebrity shoreside by phone at no cost to us. It was arranged by guest services. If you are sailing in Suite or concierge class you would probably be able to get some assistance from the concierge.

We are sailing next week on the Equinox and just received an email regarding the Go Green program. I had seen earlier threads regarding this. If the only change is that the 2nd service is still received but more of a “straightening up” than a full cleaning I am fine with it. I do still want twice daily service as it is nice to have fresh towels if needed and a turned down bed (with chocolate of course 😃). Has anyone done this and what did you think? TIA

Hi -- They do take a little while to get back to you. Not sure if the are open every day when ships are not in port.
The cost was flat $95 for the entire day. I believe they open at 9:00 and you have plenty of time to do both the Northern and Southern routes. They give you a map with all the beaches and points of interest noted.

Thanks Jim-
I did receive a reply. Thanks for the info. It looks like a really fun day. Hope all is going well as you prepare for your next trip.

If the drink is over $13 then they charge the extra amount plus gratuity on the whole drink. So a $14 drink becomes $16.52 and the overage is $3.52.....however this is a thing with RCG. Sometimes they will and sometimes they won't. Depending on the bartender they might charge you nothing, $1 or the whole $3.52.
Also when I become diamond in Jan. I will still be getting either the soda or refresher package, if not staying in a suite. I won't ever drink more than 3 alcoholic drinks in a day but I needs a smoothie, some PowerAde and a couple of Cokes.
I have not been on Royal since 2019, but will be Diamond from Celebrity next time I sail. With the new voucher system, 4 drinks is sufficient for pre-dinner drinks and wine with dinner, but I will want coffee, orange juice, and water during the day. How does it work if you have the refreshment package. Do you tell your server “use my package?” Or do they know if it is already covered? I don’t want to “waste” my vouchers.

Hi Jim-
I’m late to the party, but have been lurking as usual. You should get a commission from Celebrity. After following your trip we just last week booked the Equinox for the 9 night ABC itinerary at the end of October. I would appreciate it if you could add some information about the golf cart rental on Bonaire. I have emailed them to check availability and waiting for a reply. Could you please tell me what the cost was and if it was daily or hourly.
I loved all your photos and insights and am already lurking on your new Pacific Coastal thread. Enjoy!!

I had a sunset veranda once on the Reflection. The wake view is beautiful, but there is absolutely no shade or cover if it rains.

It is 18% on the reduced price. $100 bottle of wine, reduced to $60. $60 * 1.18= 70.80 will be your cost.

Yes, any purchase will incur a “gratuity.” Just remember that $100 bottle would also have a gratuity making it $118, so it is still a 40% savings.

I just Instagramed a selfie of myself sitting on the sofa with my eyes closed being "mindful". Easy peasy.
I may have to reconsider my objection 😜

Just received the latest Power Up email. Another social media one similar to the steak recipe. This time they want a social media post of me participating in one of the “wellness activities” from the Apex debut. Drink a goop smoothie, a fitness challenge, guided meditation, or a breathing exercise. I don’t think anyone needs to see me doing any of those things.
I have done pretty well with the Power Up opportunities so far and have received about 50 points, much more than I thought I would have earned for free, but this is just not worth the three Captains Club points. (Only about 40 more to reach Elite 😄.

I have done this in the past. The OBC should post prior to your cruise, however it takes time. Their have been some reports that if you call to request it being posted faster you can have that done.
-
Just got the email. I am hoping for a recorded opportunity. 6:00 in the evening does not work for me.
-
I did. It was an easy way to score a point. Normally I do not advertise for a company, but at least they are giving something in return, even if only a loyalty point. We are 90 points from elite. Probably will just make it from Power Up, but no harm in boosting the point total.

Make sure you check your “junk or spam” email. My certificate came to my email, but the one for my husband was caught in his spam filter.

Don’t forget to check your “junk” or “spam” folder for your FCC. The email for me came through, but the one for my husband went was filtered into his junk file.

It might be that they just do not want to duplicate the information for menus as they are the same at all traditional dining rooms.

I was up early for the sail in to Cartagena as well. I lost track of time on my balcony. One of the prettiest sail ins that I remember (and Kotor, Montenegro is tough to beat)

Yes, they did do a performance in the grand foyer one or two nights later.
The theater show was one of the ones that we attended. We really enjoyed it!

Hi Maris-
We kept pretty much to ourselves on this trip, but made a few activities. Our idea of a perfect cruise is kicking back and watching the water with a good book. I believe that the picture is of Rich, the cruise director.

The gelato is for a fee. There is ice cream available in the buffet. There is normally a free scoop of gelato on your captain’s club benefit.

You can call to clarify, I have never booked with 4 perks, but I would think that since that is the largest promo and it states 4PERK sale that you are covered.

Celebrity is not always real good about the beverage packages appearing in the cruise planner. As you have the premium package you have no need to upgrade, so should not be an issue. As long as it shows on your booking confirmation I would not be concerned.

Thanks for a great review! We are on the Edge in March for the first time. We have a sunset veranda. Could you tell me what deck you were on and if the balcony provided any shade? TIA
