  1. I am planning on booking a Carnival Alaska cruise soon. I am going to get one of the wrap around aft suites.

My question is (please don't laugh...) is there a better side to be on? The only time that I think that it might matter, is when we are cruising Tracy Arm Fjord on the way to Skagway. My instincts tell me that the right side is best, but I thought I would ask the "experts". Both corners are available, so I appreciate your input!!

  2. I don't think these have been asked yet...

I know the Cheers program does not cover buckets of beer.

Having said that, If you have "Cheers", can you buy a bucket at the regular price? And, if so, do those beers count toward your 15 drink limit?

I know that you get a discount on bottles of wine with "Cheers".

How does a bottle of wine affect the 15 drink limit?

I really do not anticipate the 15 drink limit being an issue for us, but I'm curious how they would address these types of purchases. I wil be sailing on one of the ships where past guests have reported that you cannot purchase any drinks after the 15 limit if you have "Cheers".

  3. Not looked to see if this has been covered yet, but just adding my personal experience on the Liberty a couple of weeks ago for our spring break cruise. Our group of 4 hit the 15 limit a couple of times each on various nights throughout the week, and the policy was consistent at every bar we tried, once the 15 drinks was reached you WERE able to purchase further drinks (16, 17 etc) at the regular bar prices.

We ordered a bottle through bon voyage as a backup in case we were completely cut off at 15, but turns out we didn't need to.

I should also add that we were allowed to purchase drinks for other people throughout the day at regular prices, that wouldn't count towards our 15. So in the afternoon I'd get my usual drink on cheers program free and at same time explain I'm buying a beer for a friend and could I be charged for that one at normal price, no problem.

This confirms that there are different rules on different ships...

  4. It really does not matter anyway because the Cheers program is currently only available on 13 ships in the fleet and NONE of them sail any 3 or 4 day itineraries. The shortest cruise available with the Cheers program are the 5 day sailings on the Victory or the Glory.

The itinerary that was posted when this comment was posted is the same as my upcoming 4 day Victory. So...is the cheers program offered on all Victory cruises or only the 5+ day ones??

  5. Thanks APDMOM!

At this point, our roll call has decided to meet on the Verandah Deck after the safety drill for our 2/16 sailing.

Would love it if you could get some pics of us.

I know I can go back on this thread and find where you take your pictures from, but could you please make it easy for me by telling me?

    THANKS!
