Oh wow.  You had the most wonderful Fairy! Tell her she can call me anytime 🙂

Any idea what it would cost without the Fairy showing up? I thought it would be a LOT more than 9K.

Unfortunately they don’t have the Upsell Fairy any longer…☹️ Now you have to bid.  At the time the normal price for the 7 days was almost $30k

Cool! I just saw a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w5lN53OstE and next to the "main garden", you have access to another huge upper deck. I won't wine about the fake grass anymore, this really is the very best possible besides having your own yaught. Though it might cost a small yaught for a week I guess 🙂

Yes the upper sun deck is huge.  It overlooks the pool area and people were always trying to figure out how to get to the deck we were on.  😁

We got the GV at an amazing price thanks to the old “ Upsell Fairy”.  We had 3 couples and paid $3k per couple.

  3. I have to agree that if this is going to be a bucket list trip and you don’t expect to go through the Canal again, definitely do it on a smaller ship so you can go through the old locks.  I’ve been through the Canal 3 times so far.  The 1st was on the Star, going through the original locks and it was amazing.  I did the inaugural PC on the Bliss and a 21 day on the Bliss Nov of 2019.  The trips on the Bliss were also great, but it doesn’t have the same history of the original locks.

Also, the larger ships have an issue going under the Bridge of the Americas.  The ship has to wait until low tide so they can pass under the bridge.  On our inaugural (west bound) trip we had to wait in the locks for several hours before we were allowed to exit. On our trip in November ‘19 (east bound) we had to go under the bridge at midnight, so our canal transit wasn’t actually a “full daylight transit”. There were a lot of passengers that were angry because so much of the transit was while it was dark.

I will say that on our November transit we had a front facing balcony and it was Amazing!  Here’s a video from our balcony entering the lock at 1am. Here’s the ship photographer taking pics of us taking pics of him.  😂

Just booked our first H2 cabin on NCL Breakaway leaving NOLA in March 22.  Departure day is our 30th wedding anniversary.

    Two questions:

I like martinis. Can you get a small amount of vermouth in your room?

My booking says 2 x 2 Meal Speciality Dining Package.  Is that two dinners for two people?

The speciality dining package would be for 2 dinners each, for 2 people.  You can select any of the speciality restaurants to use them in.

With the H2 you will get 3 liter bottles of alcohol included, plus mixers, like sodas or juices.  The butler will provide a list of items for you to choose from. I’ll look and see if I can find the alcohol list from our Bliss cruise. I found an older list, but this will give you an idea of what’s offered

  5. We were in the H2 on Bliss (sister ship) for 21 days, Nov ‘19.  I think the thing my adult daughter liked the best was the size of the 2nd bedroom.  It is soo much larger than the 2 bedroom suite.  She decided to leave the Murphy bed left down all the time and there was plenty of room to move around in the room. She said the bed was definitely more comfortable than the little bed in the 2 bedroom suite.

Our butler was fantastic.  We had friends (non-haven) to our suite most days.  He always made sure we had plenty of snacks and brought different things for lunch.

I know this is a 1st world problem, but we always argued who was going to go answer the door...That’s a looong hallway!🤣

  6. My vote would be for the DOS on the Bliss.  We spent 21 days in this suite last November and it was fantastic!  The 2nd bedroom was actually large enough for my adult daughter to be comfortable, unlike the 2 bedroom suites in the past.  The Master has fantastic views from the bed and the living room has an amazing amount of space.  We hosted a lot of friends in our cabin during the cruise.

But the best feature in my opinion, is the balcony.  The front balcony spans the front half of the ship and wraps around, but there is a small balcony off the master that is perfect for morning coffee.  The view from the front balcony was perfect for our transit of the Panama Canal, we couldn’t have asked for a better view!

The only downside was my daughter and I fought over who had to walk down the long hallway to answer the door..I know...1st world problems😏

Looks like the convertible couch version rather than the whole bed folding out of the wall.

Comfort for two adults ???s - 2 kids easily.

    Thanks for the pictured update.

It is actually a Murphy bed and folds down out of the wall between the arms of the sofa. When up, the wall behind the sofa is flat not recessed.  My adult daughter spent 21 nights on it and said it was very comfortable.

This is a great idea, I really enjoy the snacks at NCL bars, too. I kinda miss the popcorn in the little bags but the snacks  are really great.  I visit the Bulk Barn near me and pick up the snack mix but also add dried cranberries, raisins, etc etc...

Not sure if you have anything like this in US (bet you do) but here's the BB website for some ideas:

    https://www.bulkbarn.ca/en/products/categories/snacks

At Nuts dot com you can add different nuts, chocolate things, dried fruit.  Just about anything they have.  The great part is you get to decide the ratio of items.  :classic_biggrin:
