Freedom class has s lot to offer kids also if you want to keep your options open and maybe save a few $$$.

My son's (7 yrs old at the time) dinner on our last family cruise consisted of escargot appetizers, shrimp cocktail, and rolls every night.
I think we figured out that he ate 72 individual escargot in the course of our six night cruise :)

Lorenzo
He's Philippine and the last time we were on the ship he was in Boleros. First time he was in the nightclub. He has a fun sarcastic sense of humor.
It depends on what you are looking for I guess.

Thank you Dan. This is what I was looking for.
You're welcome. I only know this because I was looking for the exact same thing for our 4-2-16 8-night on the Navigator and someone let me know.
Where are the menus listed? Would that be the ones used on the 4/30 8 night?garnetpalmetto listed the link to the Portobello menu in this thread, and I found the other seven in a link by Clarea somewhere in these forums. Sorry, I don't have the direct link anymore.

What do you mean by rotation?
They are just wondering what order the menu's are used in. RCI has common menus across the fleet and this person is wondering which ones, and in what order, they are used for the current Navigator 8 night itinerary.

From what I understand it's this:
Mojo
Saffron
Pimento
Basile
Shiitake
Portobello
Jasmine
Pomodoro

That's actually pretty impressive not to repeat a menu over that many evenings.

Lol~ it was $4.00 a container less $10.00 on the promenade vs $14.00 in restaurant but prices varied with selection.
They were generally there around 6:30pm
Refrigerator was actually pretty cool in our room to keep it.
Lol. :). Thanks for the clarification!
Also, do you remember if there were ANY drink specials?

No Jade in the WindJammer so no sushi there however - Izumi is al la cart and they actually had a sushi cart in the evening down in the promenade the sushi off the cart was about $4.00 a container less to purchase there vs. restaurant.
The pool wasn't real cold it was cool on the inital entrance but refreshing you could easily hang out in it.
Ooh, I like the idea of $4 al la cart sushi in the promenade. It's one (of the few) complaints I have for RCI. Overall lack of food locations/options that aren't paid locations. $4 for sushi is reasonable and a nice addition! Do ou remember the timeframe roughly for when the sushi was available? Would love it for a later snack, like 9pm or so...

Is there a ship specific email for the Navigator to make requests?
(We are a group of 10 this year with my time dining and want to be seated together, and not near the main entrance or major waiting stations... )
Thank you.

Thanks for taking the time for the review!
Two questions...
So there is no Jade at all by the Wind Jammer? So no sushi options at all for evenings at the buffet? We always eat dinner in the MDR, but I've gone down to the buffet once or twice for a few pieces of shushi (if I'm not already completely stuffed from dinner in the MDR :) ) From a financial perspective, I can see why they may not want Jade at the Windjammer to force those that want that cuisine to pay at Izumi...
Pool temperature... Yuck! This was a real downer for us on our Independence cruise late 2014 (everything else was fantastic!). Pools and splash area were COLD. Very cold. Does anyone know if they will raise the temp in the pools if enough people (hate to use the word...) complain? Anyone heard of success with this?

Kind of surprised that X has eliminated formal nights before RCI. With the older crowd (in general) on X, it would seem that more would prefer formal nights.
Ourselves, we love getting dressed up for formal nights, seeing others dressed up, and getting a great photo or two looking our best.

A few short years ago this whole post would be pointless. Your on vacation. Put your devices away and embrace being unplugged for a week. The cruise community can read your review after the cruise not during. Your Facebook friends, buisiness associates and even yor kids will be fine for a week without you!
Amen. It's a love/hate thing for me. I enjoyed being forced to slow down and disconnect and pay attention fully to what's around me. On the other hand it's very difficult when cruising not having access to easy communication with your kids (if they are not with you.) The option of spending 2 to 3 dollars per minute to call isn't attractive either.

Wow, you don't look a day over 5999! :)
In all sincerity, congrats!!

I am flying to Anchorage on my next cruise....from Florida. Do I have
sympathy now? ;) :p
Yes, yes you do. :)
I'm jealous. Have a great cruise!
Dan

Agree... Tampa needs to expand to be able to accommodate these monster ships. Driving 2 hours to PC and 4.5 hours to FTL is just a little far when you live less than 30 miles from Tampa.
You get no sympathy from us that need to fly to Florida to go on a cruise! :-)

The Oasis is going to make the other ships in Port Canaveral look like dinghies.

Fun videos. Thanks for sharing.
How would you compare the Breeze versus the Adventure regarding indoor/outdoor public spaces, food, nightlife, and overall feel of the ship? Been looking at other options and the breeze (sort of) fits some of our needs.

RCI has already been jacking up their prices the last couple of years .

Voyager or Freedom class ships.
Reason is that they have a Royal Promenade
Ditto this. Just what I was going to say. We love the promenade for that open expansive feel in the ship, and a great place for a stroll or snack. We liked, but didn't love, Oasis class even though they have HUGE promenades so this leaves you with Freedom Class and Voyager Class.
The ships are still big enough to host a lot of activities outdoors, (including the refurbed Voyager class ships). They also offer great views of the ocean and a nice wrap around walking path on deck 4 that isn't blocked by life boats.

I recall seeing them on the starboard side, in the drink station located between the forward and aft portion of Windjammer.
We will keep an eye out for them. Thanks! :)
Dan

Thanks for the info. Doesn't really impact us since we have always had non refundable airline tickets purchased well before that anyway.
I can see this being a pain in the butt for those who are in driving distance of the ships though.

Thanks for the update. I was curious if those soda machines were still there. Those are the only guest soda machines (other than Freestyle) I've ever seen on a Royal ship.
My wife will be happy to hear about this. Self serve in the Windjammer huh?
She and one of our daughters will have the pop package, so this will be a very convenient way to get pop while hanging out on the pool deck.

Good tips. Yeah, Oasis class isn't our favorite either. We've done Freedom class otherwise and much prefer it. Similar food quality, still plenty to do, and what felt like far less people. For us, the Oasis suffered in the fitness center, busy promenade, and disconnected feeling from the ocean as well. I can't wait to try the next smaller class with the Navigator in a month. Appears to be much more similar to Freedom class than Oasis class.

Liberty or Navigator
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
The main differences are going to be that the liberty has the waterslides and is 90ish feet shorter. That's about it.
