Absolutely AWESOME.. great job :):):):):)

You must post a pic of yourself.. you gotta have the stache LOL... My father is retired RCMP...its a joke with him and all his buddies you all have one:p
Great review.. I am aiming at a long vacay on the ships like that;)
-
Hate the Splendor myself.. will never sail her again.. been there done it.. it was a glorified version of the Spirit class had they left the aft area for smokers (one side only like the Legend).. instead of throwing us up on deck 10.. I would consider it.. not happy with the NO smoking casino bar on her either... so many may LOVE it for it!!!;)

You should get a letter where to go for disembarkation if your Platinum. They had a special place just for Platinum now its for anybody thats VIP. where you had 10 to 20 people now its several hundred. So much for the Platinum perk. Now we don't do it anymore even that became a free for all. They don't check who is VIP so lots of people that are not VIP just get in the line. Good luck.
Did you bring this up to anyone.. I will be sure to complain about it..I wish Carnival would enforce what self-assist is.. when you see hundreds of people with their whole house trying to get off the ship and can not carry it .. they are allowed..enough all ready..
-
Check the facts, you can smoke in your cabin, except on the SPA deck.
Spa cabins only on the newer ships like the Splendor or Dream.. any other ship you can smoke on the Spa deck..
-
smoking is allowed on the pool deck and in the casino, as well as the piano bar (i think?)... it's not allowed in the cabins
Smoking is not allowed aft pool on Conquest class ships.. or the Splendor...but it is allowed in cabins..
-
If I'm wrong, someone can please (nicely) correct me...
I believe smoking is allowed in:
your cabin (but not in hallways or elevators)
casino (or at least parts of it)
outdoor decks, on one side (don't remember port or starboard, but I think s/b)
on Fascination, a "cigar bar" area just outside the Puttin' on the Ritz lounge (Prom. deck, aft)
Hunny and I both somke and we didn't feel deprived at all.
Yes this is correct.. they will list the bars that allow smoking in in funtimes..
-
Okay.. hoping for some feedback.. We all know it is a nasty habit.. but my DH is a smoker - especially when enjoying a beverage.. (it is still legal).. and we want to know about the smoking policy. I am confused as I read that the adult aft pool was a no smoking zone.. wouldn't the other pool (where there would be kids.. ??) be no smoking too? Where on the Lido deck can he smoke? We have a balcony cabin.. and he is very considerate.. but it would be good to know ahead of time.
That is an area that they used to have smoking in 06.. now you cant.. you can smoke starboard side lido deck midship.. because the dome that can close you cant smoke there..

I have always wondered if Carnival has an official “do not board list” for those guest who are problematic, or have been previously arrested while on a Carnival cruise or guest that have been disruptive on prior Carnival cruises, or guest that unjustly complained too much or guest who have threaten to harm Carnival employees or guest who are just pain in the xxx?
The airline industry has a do not fly list and wonder if Carnival has the same.
If you plan to post this so people can read it please do.. because I can''t and I am not going to get my glasses to read it:(:mad:

I had aft balcony #7448.... I saw that the aft wrap #7440 on the Valor was still available so I asked about upgrading. I paid the difference and am going to surpirse my husband with the Aft wrap!!!!
Are the rooms any different in size?
Sailing July 18th on the Valor !!!!!
They are just arranged differently... you will prolly find it to have alittle more room no couch.. but you will LUV It!!;)
I was wondering if someone can explain to me the difference in size between a balcony, an Aft-view Extended Balcony, and a Premium Balcony. I will be on the Destiny. ThanksHUGE difference all you have to do is search here.. or look at the pictures that have been posted pretty much tells you the size of the balconies...;)

We have only heard it reported here on this website. We have had many aft cabins and we have not seen problems with soot (they do clean your balcony when they service the cabins), and one of the port days there is always a notice to take your personal belongings in as they will be doing a thorough balcony cleaning. We have had butts from above land on our balcony in the past, but that happens all over the ship.
I agree in 9 cruises we have had 7 aft wraps balconies and I never have had a problem with soot.. you will find some debris.. on our Splendor cruise last month we had a dead bird:( But that was quickly taken care of when we left the cabin and the stewards came it to clean it...

Any tips on how to post pix correctly?
If you are posting a link to your album you have to make sure that it is shared... or public.. I am not to familiar with snapfish..but when you click on your link it takes you to the sign in page ..;)

Yes. 2 beds and a sofa.
Good to know.. thought most afts only held 2 even on the Spirit class
-
Yes. The 4237/4239 combo even has a connecting door inside. The same on the opposite side (4228/4230)
Which room allows 3.. the aft beside the wrap???
-
If that is a link to your album .. can't view it...
-
Wow.I want one but I would feel like I was wasting it for only two people.Maybe raffle off some spots?LOL
Its always only the 2 of us that sail and get the aftwrap.. I enjoy my balcony time alot and its worth it to me.. alot of friends sailing with you helps too;)
Cabin crawl! That way all your cruisecritic.com buddies can check it out.Exactly what we do:p
-
How many in an aft? We are a family of 5 can these cabins hold 5? If not can we get the aft balcony next to the wrap and remove barrior? As of now we're looking at a cruise sometime in fall of 2011.
Depends on the ship some allow 3 per cabin.. most only 2.. you would have to see if the cabin beside would allow 3.. if not you would have to get one across the hall..
-
Wow, those balconies look luxurious!
The aft wraps on Spirit class ships are considered Suites.. they are bigger than the normal wraps on the Conquest ... Triumph and Victory..
-
Cabin 4237.. Legend..
-
We just booked port side aft wrap around balcony. it was the last one they had! :D
You will LUV it.. was gonna post blah blah blah.. but everyone beat me to it:p We had 7440 on the Freedom and luved it.. will be going in a few short days on the Splendor in our 7th aft wrap out of 9 cruises:D
-
OP u mention you have 3 in your party, so do we; which is why i didn't book one.
PVP indicated that the bedding for 3 person on all the Destiny afts is a rollaway, i can't imagine how it would fit in the odd shaped room comfortably to allow easy movement w/i the cabin area.
there are several of the wrap aft cabins w/a queen bed vs the 2 twins, maybe those would be a better fit?
a couple posters here indicated that their young children were able to sleep on the smallish sofa, won't work for my 17 yo DS though
We had an aftwrap deck 6 on the Triumph and my mother slept on the rollaway.. there was plenty of room.. the cot is put up during the day.. lots of space in the cabin;)
-
Oh ,Thank You!! That balcony looks Perfect! I've always wanted to be aft, and don't mind the sounds and feels of the ship...
Once we stayed forward, and I sure felt that.
Cannot wait to sit on that balcony... did it get pretty good sun?
Sun is relative to how the ship is positioned.. you get some you dont.. it is really hard to say..

I didn't see any chairs in the picture of 7459. Are there chairs? So no couch....but is there a chair????
Doesn't look like it:eek:
