Holy Cow!  Take me north quick!  I have a personal heater that just does not quit!  Here are some must bring items for our cruising.  First and foremost, a bad a*s mama jama coochie goochie, small but powerful fan and a bad a*s (fill in the blanks)..

Did you get this on Amazon? Do you happen to have the link?  We're going on Xpedition in September and our son (just got back) said a small fan was fantastic to dry clothes and have air movement in the room.

We booked the Eclipse (primarily for itinerary). We have been on Solstice twice, Reflection once and Equinox as well.

Have been reading the reviews of Eclipse and they are quite varied from 2 stars to 4 stars. I know not everyone leaves a comment and many are reviewing just to complain.

Are the reviews based on service? Food or the ship in general?

Service, on all cruise lines is not the same as before. Sign of the times unfortunately.

Food, well, that is the most debated (and heated sometimes LOL) topic on these forums on all lines. No shopping, no cooking, no cleaning up is all fine for me 🙂

So, that leaves the ship itself. Is it old? Rusty? Dirty? Falling apart? Furniture bad?

    Is the ship still nice?

When is your cruise on Eclipse?

  3. We’ve had several tours with airport drop off. They range from fantastic with quick turnaround through the airport in Miami, to a horrible experience in Buenos Aires. The tour was fine, but all the tour buses (which seemed like half the ship) arrived at the airport at the same time. The LONG line for check in snaked through the airport with many arguments about whether you were in the right line or not. And staff were telling different things to different people, causing even more stress and distress!

One of the very few low points was the World Wine Tour which was like speed dating with wine. Looking forward to the next five days onboard.

We’ve done the World Wine Tour before and I was very disappointed too. There were four stations with a wine steward at each who was in charge of describing five different wines to however many people were standing there at the time. A huge hassle, lots of work just to find out anything, and none of the wine was really good. IMHO they use this activity to get rid of wine that isn’t selling.

Everything we had was good except I had the ***** Burger, no bacon, and the taste was good but the texture freaked me out. It was the grind. I ate half.

Oh my gosh! This was me on Silhouette at Lawn Club Grill! I had a burger, but the texture was so odd that I kind of freaked out! And I don’t normally have a problem with food texture! I can’t believe you were able to eat half of it!

We hired a driver and guide for 2 days in Quito and were fine walking around with them. We went to several tourist sites in Quito including El Mitdad del Mindo and Intinam Museum, plus the Mindo Cloud Forest and several sites near there.

How did you go about hiring a driver and guide?  Do you have contact information? We're looking for a guide who's willing to just play it be ear with us and see what we want and for how long.
