  1. Yes, I'm looking forward to cruising on a ship with a Cellars. Unfortunately the Breakaway doesn't have one.
  2. I hope that's the case for us on future sailings. In December on the Breakaway I tried everything, and I couldn't get a glass at any bar, only in dining rooms.
  3. Vueve is by the glass on the Premium Plus package. But we still couldn't get it outside of a dining room.
  4. I think you mean "gala" night and NCL doesn't have them. They have a "dress up or not" night.
  5. Personally, we wouldn't book a club balcony for the price they normally charge, but we did win a bid on one for our last sailing. The bigger bathroom was worth it for what we bid.
  6. While on the Breakaway (no Cellars) in Dec 2021 I couldn't get Veuve or any of the Premium Plus wines at a bar. I asked several times and even spoke with the Food and Bev manager. I was frustrated because 2 years before on the Epic I could get it at the atrium bar...
  7. And, learning from your experience, now I'm going to look for ships with Cellars!
  8. In Dec 2019, we rented a car in every port and were so glad we did. More time spent on the actual activity and much more personalized. We used primarily Hertz because of price and convenience at that time.
  9. My experience in Dec 2021 on the Breakaway was that I could not get Veuve anywhere outside of a dining room. I checked with multiple bar tenders and the food and bev manager, pleading my case to no avail. Aug 2019 on the Epic I could easily get it every morning at the Atrium bar. Frustrating to say the least. I did make up for it at dinner. Husband also not happy that Johnny Walker Blue was no longer available on our Dec 2021 cruise.
  10. Were you using a meal from your dining package or a Platinum Dinner? Because the terms and conditions are different. The T&C for the dining package do not have that restriction, whereas the Platinum Dinner does. You can print out or have on your phone the T&C to share with the waiter or maître de.
  11. Our opinion after numerous cruises with NCL is that Le Bistro and Ocean Blu are the best of what we've tried. Cagney's has gone downhill, although it really varies ship to ship and depending on your server. That being said, La Cucina can also be very good. Again, really varies ship to ship. Gluten free is not an issue if you inform maître de on day one (or others may have details on how to do it ahead of time). They will have gluten free bread and pasta options for you, and it will be made in a separate kitchen so that there is no cross contamination. My self and a friend have both done gluten free successfully on a number of cruises and my celiac sister-in-law has done it on two cruises. The best way to get what you want is to pre-order the night before for the next day's dinner. That way they have time to accommodate your requests. Once they made a special gluten free lemon cheesecake for my sister-in-law and me.
