We plan on dropping our stuff off at the Luggage Hotel when we are there (theluggagehotel.com)

Don't think being based up north was a winner so probably won't ever happen again. P&O will be down to 3? ships for a while soon as well so will be sticking to the major ports.

I'll read your review - and then probably ignore it. Lol I loved my last cruise on Solstice (couldn't fault the food) and am really looking forward to my next one in a few weeks. I'll find out for myself if anything has slipped since last cruise. But even if it has, it's still better then being at work. 🙂

Can't believe they didn't all jump overboard and swim for it. I sure would have.

I rarely use ATMs but always thought $2 was the usual if not using your own banks' ATM.
A Google search turned up this;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATM_usage_fees
Not sure how up to date it is.
It changed a while back (2017?) - the big 4 banks stopped it anyway. I notice the ones that used to be free - like Rediteller - now charge it instead. The ones that will always charge are the privately owned ones.

Might have been just because it was a xmas cruise and had special menu. It is showing as $68.50 AUD for my March cruise. AUD is really crap at the moment I will be waiting to get on board and getting a deal for specialty restaurants.

Just remember to keep copies of your passport somewhere in case it gets lost or stolen.

Just a reminder to all on privacy and who is watching what we do. I checked trivago for the going rates of Singapore Hotels and am now getting Singapore Hotel ads on my home page .
Big Brother is watching.
It's really weird when you google something at work and then ads for it come up on your home computer.
As for Singapore, we stayed at Novotel Clarke Quay a few years ago. Clarke Quay is a great area and handy to everything. Discovered food was real cheap (and tasty) in the foodcourts which were everywhere. I think we were paying about $3 - $5 a plate.

Are the big ugly bars across the middle of the window at eye level when you are sitting?

I found that if I start moving around the boards - like going to the second page - it stops the jumping.

The locals run their own tours there as well so don't have to pay the overpriced Celebrity tours. They are all waiting for you when you get off the ship. I think we paid something like $20ea (at the most) to go in a little minivan driven by a local and taken around the island for a couple of hours.

Send her to Brisbane. 😊
The new Cruise Terminal will be finished by then.
Going by the port schedules for 20/21, it looks like she will be based in Sydney (Currently called Ruby Princess but I'm assuming that is really Regal)

So exciting to have more options

The websites must be really out of date - Bistro changed to Sushi about 2 years ago

They had a story on the news tonight which mentioned that Portside would remain open for the smaller ships when the new one opens. I thought Portside was closing?

Thought they were a bit expensive..and there's no free drinks package with it.

I hope Eclipse sailing out of Melbourne leads to more itineraries, I love Solstice, but the itineraries just don’t fit our needs most of the time.
One goes to Tassie 🙂

I can't see any additional cruises from the port schedules to indicate 2 ships though. Would have preferred Reflection over Eclipse - don't think Eclipse has the Lawn Club Grill?
-
Looks like Australia is getting Eclipse 🙂

In Noumea there is an atm across the road from the cruise terminal. Easy just to get $20 or whatever from there.

Sounds good when I can say that Solstice's summer season has started and that I will be on her this season - cruise doesn't seem so far away now.
Really happy that the snipping tool works here too 😀

Doesn't look like a whole lot of changes - everything is still pretty much in the same place. Don't seem to have the preview reply anymore? I do like how it's easier to post photos - that's a big improvement.

They will always be offering discounts onboard too, in case you don't want to tie yourself down to a package.

I think A Current Affair told a little white lie about bringing the food on board to make the story a bit more interesting.... I would guess and say that RCL brought onboard extra food to cater for this particular group but that sounds a bit boring so ACA embellished a little.
