We just got off Dawn. My kids 10, 11,7 LOVE it. While they may officially be in different groups, they often combined groups for activities since there weren't hundreds of kids on board. They live the T-Rex pool.

They had scrabble, monopoly and others I believe.

On Dawn

Was on the Dawn in December and all the crew members were excellent, always had a kind word and big smile.

Also came off Dawn in February. Fantastic staff. Every single person we encountered was great. Great cruise!

I also brought $100 in singles. Bartenders greatly appreciated the gesture on each drink....

What time was the show the first night. I have read 8:00 and also read 8:30. We have reservations at Los Lobos that night at 6:30 and I am concerned it might be a little tight. How long did dinner take at Los Lobos?

 

What times were the other shows?

 

Was another ncl ship in Roatan with you? Is that why you had to tender?

I think you'll be fine with a 6:30 res and show. Maybe show up at 6:15pm. They are very very nice there. Be sure to try the house made ice cream for sure.. Ultra creamy surprised how good it was. Nobody talks about the desserts! And spicy margaritas is great!

Show on first night was 8:30pm. Los Lobos is great and not a slow meal. Other nights shows were 7pm and 9pm. Elements show was 6:30pn and 9pm. Agreed that acrobats on last night were amazing.

I was also on this cruise, with my family, 3 kids (7,10,11) and wife. Kids loved the cruise. We had a fantastic time. 2nd cruise on Dawn, went Feb 14th last year also. Ate in all specialty dining, all excellent (La Cucina a bit slow). Service was great. Kids love Splash Academy. Less kids on board, but that's OK. Royal Caribbean ship is in Roatan dock slip. The Oceania Marina happened to be in Port that day also tendering. We loved Harvest Caye. Enjoy it for what it is. It was a nice feeling not eating or drinking for the 4 hours between breakfast and lunch while on the island. Surprised how many people felt the need to spend $ there. Anyway, glad to answer your questions.

If anyone is on Pearl now - let us know if she still has the palm tree lampposts all around the pool area - and if she still has little fish on the hallway carpeting facing the front of the ship ? And of course pictures of anything new would be greatly appreciated by all !!! Was buffet area refurbished?

Just on Dawn... Palm trees gone... Fish were on carpet! Beautiful Job with refurb. We LOVED the cruise! Everything was excellent.

There are a finite number of tables, and it appears many choose the free package. Try finding a dining reservation the day of during free dining promotions at WDW. Now you do need to book ahead of time.

 

Remember the annoying pool waiters always asking if you want a drink? With the UBP, they are a thing of the past.

Just off Dawn... Constant pool waiter service. Excellent!

Any purchase using the website of $500+ will get credit... Partial payment, down-payment, full payment, OBC,.... anything

Delta cards do NOT have it. Platinum card does. Is purchased OBC able to be used for the $13.50 service charges per day?

If you get the free package, you do NOT need to purchase other packages for everyone. If you were to buy the UBP, then each person in cabin would need to purchase a package.

Just sharing something I found. Also strange to have a crew from Miami clear a channel in Belize. Is that normal? Did American crews build harvest caye? Something possibly seems strange.

BBN Staff:*Over 6,000 cruise ship passengers visited Belize City this week, because their scheduled trip to the Harvest Caye port was canceled.

The Norwegian Gate Way and Norwegian Dawn, diverted to the Fort Street Tourism Village (FSTV)*on Wednesday*and*Thursday.

The company’s public relations officers in Miami had reported to local media that the ships diverted as a safety measure, because there was an obstruction in the channel leading to Harvest Caye. However the Belize Port Authority says that there was no such obstruction.

Chief Safety and Security Manager with the BPA, Michael Jenkins, said this afternoon that there was no obstruction of any kind in the channel this week.

“One ship diverted due to mechanical problems, and the other did so at the decision of the company,” Jenkins continued.

The incident was a great benefit to local tour operators, who managed to cash in on the passengers that ended up at the FSTV.

Booked 2 years ago. Got old UDP for family of 5 included with all the other stuff included. Too good a deal to not book in 2015! Just don't like conflicting answers from agents (concierge #).

Then I just called same number again and they said it WAS included.

I have UDP and was told that Los Lobos is NOT included. Is that true? Thought the dining packages included that. Thanks.

Great posts! Can people in first family suite next to 12520 easily see onto your balcony? Is it private enough?

3% fee to "cash out" OBC in casino. That is best way to get get $. If you have a 2% cash back credit card, 1% net "fee" is no biggie. I have not seen OBC direct able to be applied to any gratuities.
