butler or concierge will book it all. plus even for regular cabins there are many reservations held back for those who are on board.

i predict there will be 'bed guards' placed under every bed to prevent employees from hiding at some point in the future . also i wondered how these devices stay powered so long.

do you just hold it up in the middle of the room and it senses or do you have to 'scan every inch' of the walls?

they dont have the schedule out for summer 24. will the ferry go to st georges the last week of april?

also my pdf shows tips included but i dont see tips included today. are the perks when i reserved what i get or when they change things must i give up the perks?

todays info on the villa says variety of restaurants. the screenshot i took last year says specialty restaurants. any idea why the change? i sense by november it will decrease to something else.

i never got a suite on oasis for the 1900 i paid for the royal suite. so i'm ok with that. when i started cruising the CLS on oasis was only 2300 but then it was near 3K last time. i think now. well. it got bad lol! so i dont look any more. but i did miss CK very much on liberty and the suite lounge felt like a doctors office to me.

i never assembled my detailed notes for a full review but i will fill you in on the noise negatives of the cabin 1. you must keep the bidet room door closed at all times or you will hear every flush from the public toilet upstairs. if you are in the bidet room it sounds like you are literally in the bathroom upstairs and there's lots of weird water noises. we kept it closed always and during the night entered from the other door. that being said, there was virtually no sleep time noise from that above bathroom for obvious reasons. but during the day it did annoy me if the door was open. and YES when you have this cabin you can spend hours in it. it's that glorious plus you did pay for the privilege 2. somewhere between 4am and 6am there is daily, but not frequent, noise from chops. my gf never heard it and yes it's above the bedroom directly. id say it's carts rolling or someone dropping a pan. each day in sum total id say that noise was perhaps a a few minutes sporadically. as it's not constant, this would not prevent me from booking this cabin again. but if you are a light sleeper as long as you can get back to sleep you will be fine. 3. your larger 'outdoor porch' and that you are next to the elevator means your porch is a great meeting place for others or a place to wait to meet them. also one can yell down the hall to their cabin mate half way down the ship from this great vantage point. even normal talking is heard thru the double doors as people walk by. as is the case in even single cabin doors. Yes i expected sound proof insulated doors (just kiddin). the concierge had to disconnect all the suites door bells as kids were ringing them. yes they had facial recognition and the parents got a talking to. one time i happened to be near the door when it rang and while i wasnt 100% sure it was the kid walking down the hall. i was 98.55 percent sure. so i told him some kids are ringing the bell and if he sees anything please report it to me. also that the captain has facial recognition and will find them soon anyway. the bell is nice though if you are out on the balcony and are expecting something. but alas, the first world problems. also some teen girls were hanging out for a long time outside the door and when i opened it, they just said they were admiring my doors. i had no reason to doubt them. after all, teen girls never lie and the 2 doors are impressive. i should have invited them in to see the piano and hot tub but knew that would be improper and just closed the door. i doubt they were the doorbell ringers though. didnt have 'that look'. 🙂 4. noise in the living room/dining room was pretty much non existent ever as you are far from all the noise maker things. 5. the only reason to NOT book this cabin is the only outlets are on the desk, 10 ft from the bed. and at the ooooother end of the cabin near the dining room table on the floor level. likely for a vacuum. pathetic considering what the cabin normally costs. we always have a charging brick with us but geez um! 6. you can get revenge on noisy people by using the app on your phone to crank up the player piano. joseph will show you which app and how to use it. it's a bit complicated and even the lowest volume is quite loud. but's it's soooo cool. and everyone around you and in the hall will know it. :) nothing but a high price would deter me from booking this again. full review on the cabin someday..i plan to....honest. from FLL paid 1900 pp for 6 nites. same number of nites was well over 8K from NYC. insanity. rather spend 8K on oasis star class. I used all the savings to fly first class and stay at a very nice resort the day before. lago mar. it's on the area of the beach where cruise ships pass and we got to see viking leave while we at dinner . very cool! highly recommend the hotel if you can afford 275 a nite. which is not what most posters on forums what to spend. but tripadvisor has so many negative reviews of the closer/cheaper places that i was scared to stay in them. in summary i thought this was the most elegant cabin ive been in. (vs 2 BR haven on getaway, penthouse on bliss. Crown loft on oasis, 1 br Aqua suite on oasis.) it just exudes class and elegance ( except for the rusty hot tub)

post covid we got a steal on getaway 2 br haven but having no roof in march wasnt fun. but we did get a super low price so it was still worth it. but as with all ncl ships, they forgot to design indoor seating space that is not a restaurant nor bar. even in warm weather you have bad weather days that the outside is closed off.

I'm unsure what insurance would cover this or how the rules work I'm going on a trip to jamaica that leaves on a wednesday and returns sunday. I have flight costs and the 4 nites hotel cost of about 2000. Assume wednesday the flights are canceled out of my home airport and theres no way to get a flight till thursday. but of course no one may know if that flight will be able to take off. do i have to sit at the airport and hope that next flight thursday makes it? or can i just call it quits and get all my money back wednesday. Or do i need to try to get the thursday flight then get one days hotel back from the insurance? just curious if i decide to not go or the insurance rules dictate that and to what extent i need to keep trying to get on a flight. After thursday it would sorta be pointless to go on the trip is my point. Thanks

how is it monitored/enforced. on all the ships ive been on , clocks really arent ubiquitous

to the OP was there really a line at the hot tubs? ive never seen that on any cruise , including one christmas cruise. how could one even enjoy their 15 minutes with people just standing there? seems bizarre

for comparison id love to hear a YC christmas experience.

have to ask after researching the reflection suite for my retirement cruise. ive never been on X but booked an edge villa on ascent for 9 nites instead. but that shower in the reflection suite and bathroom looks sooo cool is it really?

never been on X but glad to see that document above. for the type of suite i booked back in spring for my 1st cruise next year it says id get 350 OBC. my TA is giving me 2300 and X is giving me 800. at least for my suite it's well worth the TA doing the cruise. i guess the next question is: can you book using the onboard service then transfer to a TA and get the same perks i just mentioned above?

in another thread i read about a slamming door but forget how to fix it. i only have a year before the cruise so i do need to assemble a spreadsheet of tips and tricks so hopefully someone can post how that door problem was solved. are you making use of the secret door to the lounge and the door to the retreat. those are 2 very cool features i am hoping to make good use of! also have you used your patio at all (if you have one)

we went to bermuda on NCL out of NYC . upon returning we go to our usual lunch spot. juniors on 45th street . my gf goes to take a pic there and voila, discovers no phone. we get back to the car, not there. signed in to her account and saw it was still on the ship. i dont think even if we returned to dock that we would have gotten it so just posted later in FB for that sailing. a member went to the front desk and confirmed the phone was there. she had offered to mail it to us but of course they wouldnt give it to her because she wasnt the owner. we followed the phone down the river as it headed back toward bermuda..sigh. filed a claim with ncl and paid the fee and got the phone back 3 weeks later. i feel we were lucky to get it back given all the posts ive seen on the forums

thats sad about no more free tours for EV. maybe my ascent crew can get me one next year. was just on liberty of the seas in the royal suite and got a private bridge tour and it was a lot of fun. regarding the wood above the bed i never sit like that thankfully but my gf does so ill have to warn her. hope she doesnt want to cancel 😉

good reason to book ..oh wait already did! i found the chops steak on liberty of the seas disappointing but i did like central 150 on oasis. so this should be even better!

one observation i gleaned from the forum is that MSC will not refund TA OBC. im so glad i read that. TA called MSC and confirmed so TA is mailing me a check after my YC meraviglia cruise. should be ez to burn thru the small MSC OBC they are giving me though. and now with that fear of not getting OBC i told my TA to mail me a check for my ascent cruise as it's 2300 and no way do i wanna lose that. it's gonna be hard enough to get the 800 of X OBC out of the slots from what ive read.

i forgot about my other reason to follow up. we did a cheap getaway cruise during march after covid because a 2BR haven was 2100PP which it never will be again of course. but it did stink that there was no roof oven haven but thats why it was so cheap! combined with bad weather we got what we paid for 🙂
