I'm surprised to see it's still just us and Mariner here. Another ship downtown. We are at the far pier that Carnival uses which I think is a first for me and certainly unusual if we are the only ccl brand ship in town. Maybe someone else had trouble docking? I'll have to check the schedule. They had a beautiful Christmas tree display here last year, I'm hoping it's here again. Off to find out.

I'll have to be on the lookout, that looks pretty good. I'm usually happy to at least find a bread pudding for dessert. Enjoy Alaska! The scenery is stunning and is one of my favorite trips I've ever taken.

Good afternoon. I was able to get back asleep which is great but of course I've missed out on Cozumel. No biggie, I could have chosen to stay up and head out if I wanted. Going to head off and take a quick walk around the port now.

I'm not really tired, but what the heck am I going to do all day if I get up now? I almost booked a last minute tour they had for sale. It's called sightseeing tour and it's $35 and I figured why not, something to do. But it's really a beach day. Great deal if you want a quick beach day, but not what I'm looking for and a little misleading. So I am going to try and catch some more 💤.

I don't see any signage saying you can't! 👀

I need food if I'm gonna be able to sleep. That pizza last night didn't cut it. Blue iguana for a burrito and arepa.

My cabin has been violently shaking for 45 minutes now. I finally got up to come see us failing to be able to dock, only to find us tied up already. And how cruel the song on the overhead right now is good vibrations. Mariner of the seas. I probably won't be able to see her once the other ships are in. I'm going to try and go back to sleep now.

The pizza is never great, but at 2am its usually filling the roll of last resort drunk food at least. This was pure garbage. I don't know what happened but this was terrible. They're not even trying. Shame Carnival, Shame. Out way past my bedtime. I wanted to explore Cozumel tomorrow but I may end up sleeping in through most of the day. Good news is, I've already hit 7k steps since midnight so even if I have a lie in, I should be good on steps. Thanks for following along, see everyone tomorrow from Cozumel.

Not a lot of people here for Quest. I think this early in the cruise was a mistake.

Most cleared but being a creature of habit I really was eyeing a certain section and of course a group of seven stayed parked. Oh well I'm settled in and ready for the adult shenanigans.

Comedy show happening I hope it clears out so I can get a good seat.

Very impressive. I've never seen something like that. Was it lunch or dinner? Sometimes I've seen some nice items at dinner when the YTD mess at Royal has sent me to the jammer. I love Royal and with their loyalty perks my bar and internet bill is lower but after I factor in specialty dining costs it's a wash. I really struggle with the included dining on Royal.

Piano man time. Got a good seat again five minutes out. Expect it to be packed again soon. Stand by me 🎶

I'm gonna agree with @exlondoner this is quite impressive and nicer looking than the one we have on Magic. Thank you for sharing and thanks for following along again 😀.

The buffet desserts on Royal are terrible. Anyone who can't stomach the desserts on Carnival would be in for a real shock when they get to the Windjammer 😆.

Yep, just a dead zone where I was sitting. Speeds much better now. Changing back into something more comfortable and setting the bar up and then its off to the piano bar I go.

The internet has come to a halt. It happened when I came to dinner, so it could be my table is in a dead zone. There are definitely dead spots around the ship and this may be one. Table was assigned at 749. I will post pictures and menus later because the internet is too slow to do so now.
