Sunset in St. Maarten

I don't go outside often so I don't even think to pack it. I'm not burned just a little tender. And fair skinned.

Had some downtime in the room. No sleeping occurred, but I did rest for a while. Hoping it will be enough to carry me through the evening. Going to head outside to see if I can catch a sunset and perhaps do a short time in the sauna, but with my red sun kissed skin, I don't think I will stay long.

Water taxi prices. A lot of redacted information here. Cab could be had for $3, though I didn't see that published so they may charge based on demand on a particular day. That's one way, but still $6 round trip and it was a 12 minute walk one way for me, so maybe 15 for someone at an average pace. Walking I've made it to downtown, but it is far too hot for me to do anything but turn back around. Home sweet home up ahead.

It was a pretty quick walk around St. Maarten today. The heat was on a whole other level since even just yesterday in St. Thomas and I was already red from my time yesterday. I mostly just wanted to get in a few steps and maybe a couple photos. Aidaluna was docked next to us. Looking back at Magic Celebrity Ascent. The port was in the holiday spirit.

That's my first one in two years! I will be sure to post a pic of my collection when I get back.

I was reading on another group dedicated to Carnvial piano bar entertainers that we did pick up a new piano man today and that the last one departed. Still don't see one on the schedule but maybe the lights will come on soon at the piano bar. BTW, she was being absolutely shredded in the comments about how terrible she was. Seems most agreeded with the poster above who stated she didn't know any songs. She must have been learning cause I did not notice that. They also said she had an attitude and was rude. I thought she was sassy but I suppose it could be taken as rude. I thought that was part of her act. Not sure now. Fingers crossed for a piano player soon .

I was successful that day. I'm thinking today will be a candidate for nap attempt.

Afternoon coffee break.

Haven't hit the Wok in a while and line was short so I went for that today. Pink peach cake for dessert.

I've completely lost track of where my weight is. Forgot to log it and its been all over the place. I'm still not sure that it is accurate today. Since Saturday I am +1.0

That doesn't quite roll off the tounge as nicely as ship on a stick 😜 Nice! She had so many pre maiden voyages I lost track of when the actual maiden was.

Made it back to the ship. It's a real scorcher out there today. Off in search of lunch now.

I guess I will take a peek outside since I got what I needed. At least a short walk to get in my steps. Heading to the room to get the mobile bar converted to hydration mode.

Good morning everyone. Today we are in St.Maarten which is another favorite of the islands for me. Weather report not looking favorable for a journey out today but let's see how things look after some trivia.

I was politely refused the ability to order a custom omelet by my waitress. My only option to customize was what type of cheese I would like. Cheddar or mozzarella.

The description on that grilled cheese was caramelized onion....that was most definitely apple slaw. I ain't mad at it, tasted good but it was not something I have ever had on a grilled cheese. I can't be certain I would like it with less alcohol in me. Going to bed now. Next up is St.Maarten which is one of my favorite islands but I can't be certain if I will head ashore. I got a little too much sun already today, and tomorrow is Quest which I definitely want to make sure I'm awake for. Such a fun event! I also want to win a ship on a stick and I see a trivia tomorrow that I am pretty good at it. Will play the day by ear. Another great day in the books, thanks for following along.
