  1. Looking back at the Pearl across the water. The Magic. Both ships.
  2. Walking. As usual, I had no destination in mind, but I did want to walk to downtown Charlotte Amalie and as luck would have it, I was heading in the correct direction when I looked at my downloaded map so I ventured on even though the heat was more than I had anticipated as I ventured away from the water. Entering a tsunami zone! Thankfully I did not encounter any today. I spotted some reindeer across the highway. This road is part of the US highway system. I was surprised to see they drive on the left side of the road here being a US territory.
  3. Lots of shopping right by the ship for people with low mobility like my mom. Christmas tree at the port. Hard to get a good angle without hordes of people in the shot. Walking past the shops. Santa does his shopping here. And we are off. Right outside the port area you can see the trams going up to the top of Paradise point. Paradise point entrance. This was a thirteen minute walk from the port, and that includes stopping for pictures and having to walk from the farthest pier. Only 3-4 minutes from the exit of the port.
  4. St. Thomas today was very nice. It was a little hot for me, but bearable and I stuck close to the water to benefit from the sea breeze. Since I needed to walk anyway, I powered on and got much better views than I would have from the walking track of gym. Stepping off the ship at 1114. In port with us today was NCL Pearl. Nice Aft! Nice...nose. Some prices if you don't have anything booked yet.
  5. A month ago so did I 😞. Bacon and mushrooms though since I don't like ham. Actually come to think of it, they were out of mushrooms.
  6. Yep 😀. I ran out of room so they are not all on display but I have a tiered stand with most on it.
  7. We do not, but it would need to be a very large one to hold one of these 😆
  8. This is the old style, worth probably an extra four cents. Post covid the design changed slightly.
  9. It's the trophy they hand out when you win a contest. It's just a little trinket but fun to collect as they have the name of the ship on it. Since covid it has been hit or miss if they are available. "Supply issues". Code for we are to hard up for money to give away four cent door prizes. The sentimental value is priceless though 😀 I'm sure I've got a photo in the archives I can post. A Google photo won't do I'll dig one up I've won along the way.
  10. Pics or it didn’t happen? So sad that they have cut the brunch menu back so badly they cannot even offer a custom omelet.
  11. In the dining room it is true as of the current cruise on the Magic. I attempted to order off menu and was politely informed I have to order off the menu. 1.Cheese 2.Ham and cheese 3.Veggie There is still an omelet station at the buffet and I would imagine it is made to order but have not been by to verify that.
  12. The winner of trivia today got a ship on a stick! I may have to swing into trivia tomorrow when everyone is in port. Double chocolate frappe.
  13. It's not in the app but I was speaking to the F&B manager on Freedom and during a chat he asked if I would be interested in the lido menu being in the app. I told him that would be a great idea and useful info to have. So maybe it is in the works. I'll be ordering that when I see it again 😋 😋 Thanks 😊. My bags were moved for me. I took a small bag with me of items I did not want to leave out but could not fit in my luggage (those two bottles of liquor were space hogs). I dropped it in the room before it was ready as I would any other time with priority drop off access. This has never been my experience for how the b2b process typically works. 11am has been the latest and we are talking 400 B2B onboard. This was just a case of no consideration being given to B2B. Could be isolated to this ship, or a new policy. No sign up that I am aware of. Most people were in their st.jude shirt from the groove event. Mine was still in the laundry bag and packed away for the next cruise so I didn't bother digging it out and nobody ran me away from the event. Then again, I walk at my own pace not really with the group. This group kept a decent pace compared to the journeys cruise crowd, but kept stopping for photo ops. Strudel was better than I expected for sure. I was expecting the dough to filling ratio to be off but it was quite good. And sooo flaky The BBQ and fish combo was surprisingly good for me and i will be happy to eat your helping 🙂 I took a cheap upsell on Magic years ago to a spa cabin. I found myself only using the pool twice and both times it was because I forced myself to since I had the pass. It was nice, just found it was not something I use. Nothing wrong with going at your own pace and doing your own thing in vacation. I do way less than most and find doing little or nothing at all to be more relaxing and enjoyable than trying to do it all. Thanks for following along 😀.
  14. Nothing happens when I click on it so I don't believe so. I checked downloads in case I didn't see it, but there is nothing there.
  15. Back on the ship after a nice walk around St. Thomas. Starving over here so I've made a salad.
  16. Got a bag of laundry for Stuart and converted the mobile bar to a vessel for water and now I'm off.
  17. Weather check. Not sure breezy and nice is accurate but it's not too terrible for a short walk and I'm feeling rested. I always forget how absolutely stunning the water and surroundings are here.
  18. I haven't done that either but it's something I would like to do still. I had another wonderful day 😁
  19. Good morning. I slept longer than I thought I would but that is ok. If my body says sleep, I listen. No plans this morning anyway. If it's not too hot I'll wander around the port a little. Otherwise it will be a ship day. App says 78, breezy and nice so things look like a go if that is accurate.
