So if I understand correctly, the restriction is only for those wishing to enter Gibraltar through Spain? And so would this restriction apply to those wishing to cross independently? It wasn't something I planned on this trip, but I was interested in visiting Gibraltar at some point on a return trip.

Right. And I think it is just a case of bad customer service from MSC to allow her to book this and not inform her of a self imposed policy change since July. There is no such official restriction that I can find.

I don't see that information on any travel related site anywhere. I am skeptical that the strongest passport in the world would be singled out and denied entry to a country and it not be major news.

Turns out 930 is the latest time. I saw people with luggage still sitting at 11 on Monday and boarding new passengers hadn't started but I guess since they want me off by 930 I will plan to do so unless there is a line still.

Got our get off our ship paperwork. We were assigned a 930 disembarking time but I'm going to check and see how late they can accommodate us since we are just going down the pier to board freedom.

I'll know what not to order next time. I really wanted the Kung pao cauliflower but it was the carbonara that almost got axed and that was the best dish of the meal. Only four hours until supper...unless I get drawn to the buffet at tea time again 😋.

I've really enjoyed having a sit down lunch choice each day and a revolving menu each day. Two big plusses for Cunard. Tomorrow I will probably skip it so I can enjoy one final tea time.

Overall it was a great track record and still better than many cruise ship lunches I've experienced.

I had already ordered it 😆. It just wasn't what I was expecting it to be. I really enjoyed their other pies and thought I wouldn't even notice the duck but it was very duck forward.

Egg custard tart for my mom I got apple pie We both got raspberry Panna cotta Overall an average lunch today.

The crab cake was not good at all. Very mushy and had no flavor. Blah. My mom did not care for her starter either. The duck was on me, I should not have ordered it. The pie part was good. I donated the duck my mom did not care for it either. Over cooked. The carbonara was very good.

I ordered it. I've loved their pies and I didn't necessarily dislike the duck.

I'm taking inventory of what's left. I think at this point I can hold off until I'm back on Carnival. I am happy now that I over packed. Less happy when I'm lugging it around 😀

It's better today. Very choppy still but no rolling waves bobbing us around.

Just to clarify, it's based on HAL's Vista class not the Vista class we know that includes Horizon and Panorama. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice but if cost and itinerary were equal I would pick Spirit over Luminosa. Enjoy Alaska whatever ship you choose. It's one of my favorites I've ever done.

Good morning. Today is our final sea day before our last port of call. Looks like I have to stop procrastinating and do some laundry or else end up doing it on my last day. Beyond that I have nothing on the agenda but then I haven't looked at the daily programme yet.
