  1. Finished out the crossing on the upper decks. Today was a great experience and I have way too many pictures to share hopefully tomorrow. I started making some progress and then the upload speeds tanked so will try to have those ready ASAP. I've been up for almost 12 hours so I'm going to try my best to get a nap in 💤😴.
  2. And the spirit is officially back in the Atlantic for its Caribbean season. Oops fake news. Ran into the onboard expert and used him to fact check. This is still considered mixed waters.
  3. Lunch menu. For my starter I got the calamari rings. For my main the salmon pillard. And for dessert I had the grand Marnier cheesecake and pina colada cake. Everything was good and it's gonna need to be a small dinner tonight 😋
  4. We are now in the gatun locks. In my room for a couple pictures but it's not a great vantage point probably going back up top soon.
  5. We should be entering the Gatun locks any minute now. Currently at lunch In the MDR.
  6. Taking a break from the heat until we reach Gamboa passage around 1055. Taking in the views from my room. Breakfast today was the granola and an omelet.
  7. Exiting Pedro Miguel locks now. Centennial bridge is just ahead.
  8. It is very cloudy but for a brief moment there was a very nice Sunrise. Just too many people around to get a great view. I think the clouds are helping keep the temperature down. Love the pictures from that perspective thanks for posting them. Once it gets too warm I will check out the locks from the jungle and from my room on 1 Thanks for the tip 👍😀
  9. We have now departed the Miraflores locks. We will enter the Pedro Miguel locks at 905. Going to take a breakfast break before the dining room closes. I was trying to upload the photos as I went but every time an upload fails I have to reload the queue. I will do them tomorrow instead since I can bulk upload on the app after 24 hours. No idea why I don't have that option immediately.
  10. We're moving now. Don't think i got a good shot of Sunrise from my vantage point. Coffee run will have to wait until we pass the bridge of americas.
  11. At the front of the ship on deck 9 in line with about a half dozen other ships. There is a very nice breeze this morning keeping it cool. A lot of my fellow passengers are out and about already. Sunrise is 609 I'll probably park myself here till then and then pause for a coffee break.
  12. Good morning. Looks like we are still making our approach. Pilot is supposed to board at 530. Getting ready now and then heading out on deck. What I wouldn't give for the coffee shop to be open now.
  13. I'm going to bed a little early tonight. I have set my alarm for 5am so that I can be up for our entry into the Panama Canal. I don't remember the last time I set an alarm for that early 😴.
  14. Dinner menu on Lido and a few of the items they had on display before the buffet opened.
  15. For my starter I ordered the demo item the pastechi karni which is basically an empenada. It was very good. Next I ordered the jerk pork loin and the grilled salmon. Both were good. For dessert I got the babaloo cake which I also liked.
  16. Tonight's dinner menu. It has a couple new items that were showcased in a cooking demo earlier in the day.
  17. Off to dinner. No wait again tonight. Old menu tonight but with a couple different items tonight.
  18. And now we are caught up. I'm heading out now to have my caricature drawn.
  19. With the new shortened brunch hours it was closed when the lecture concluded so I made a buffet run. Carnivals buffet is not strong enough to support as many trips as I've taken there at this point. I made my own chibang style plate. Half Asian half Mexican. The Mexican was surprisingly good 👍 For dessert I had a piece of tiramisu cheesecake which was also very yummy.
  20. We're almost caught back up, not counting what I've not posted from the first internet outage. Today is our last full day in the pacific ocean. Tomorrow is our canal transit. We lost another hour last night and now we are just one hour behind eastern. First up today is the lecture on the Panama Canal. Very poor planning as it was help in the comedy lounge while the theater was used for a port shopping show. They are scheduling an extra show so others can see because the lounge was standing room only.
  21. Stewart is doing a great job. My mom stole my sheet because she was cold. Last night when he saw that he brought her an extra blanket I've never seen before without being asked. He's definitely going above and beyond.
