if you have a suite and or in the haven, they mail it. for regular people in an inside, ocean view or balcony, we have to print it :(
Ah ok, thanks for the information! We are in a mini-suite aka balcony with a nicer shower lol, so that makes sense.

What color does Getaway get?!
When I printed mine for a May 2018 Getaway trip the luggage tags are teal/aqua.
Not sure how some people got them sent to them as I was told this cruise line you had to print them yourself.

Different ship.
Oh crap you’re right I made a mistake. Thanks for correcting me and glad your vacation went well!!
I hope to go on the MSC Seaside eventually out of Miami.

Was it scary hitting the dock?!? Glad everyone (you included) made it back safely!!

It was on a previous Celebrity sailing about 2 years ago. I was wishful thinking/hoping the duty free shop maybe?

My partner and I have over $300 obc on our upcoming cruise and we don’t want to “waste” it on an excursion we can buy with our own money for half the price. On a previous cruise they had apple products, and I really want the new apple airpods which retail for $159 plus tax in the states.
My question is, do I wait until I board to see if the airpods I want are on board and book the excursion then or should I book the excursion with our cruise credit in case it will be full by the time I find out what the deal is.
EDIT: We are on the Getaway 7 day Western Carib. in May 2018.

Wow, what a strange response. They're your suggestions and opinions that they solicited, she doesn't need to attack you like that!

Thank you everyone for the replies, I REALLY appreciate it as I basically picked the floor and room type for our group of 13 and don’t want anyone to have a bad trip based on room location!
Sounds like Splash Academy rooms on deck 12 are hit or miss and can be very loud, but that deck 13 should be fine in terms of no noise.
-
Following, looking forward to hear how your trip was!

Hello everyone, I tried searching for this but could only find info regarding the Splash Academy itself.
I was recently moved from a mini-suite on deck 10 to one on deck 13, however the new location of the room is directly across from the "Splash Academy". After some rudimentary research, I learned that this is the children's and teen center. I am now worried since checking the hours that it is open all day long including a special program open until 1:30 AM. I love children don't get me wrong, but I don't go on vacation to hear loud children crying and teens running up and down the hallway.
Should I try to get a new location or does NCL do a good job at keeping all the noise inside the actual "academy"?
Thanks in advance.

What a good idea, a bar crawl on the ship. Especially great when you have the drink package!!

Thanks for your review!!

If you’re allergic to that material you should let guest relations know the first day, as soon as you board as they may be able to set up something different.

Can't wait the 3 months until I leave. Glad you had a great trip!!

I work in a hospital and the #1 way to prevent getting sick is to not touch your face with you hands directly, ever, unless you have scrubbed them thoroughly. Especially don't touch your lips or mouth. Don't eat any handheld items, use a fork and knife for them (including pizza and french fries by the pool).

Loving this review, especially all the photos, thank you!!

Really enjoying this review. Considering MSC Seaside towards the end of the year in hopes that they fix any current shortcomings. Love all the photos and the candidness of it all. Thank you!

Thanks for your thoughts! Going on the megaship Getaway soon and am interested to see how it feels!

Thanks for posting, looking forward to your thoughts!

As long as they’re well behaved and won’t cause damage to the room or make a ton of noise, I don’t see a problem with going down to their room at bed time and saying goodnight and telling them not to leave the room. Obviously allow them access to the TV (maybe put on child protection if you don’t fully trust them) and to room service, but I don’t see what could really go so wrong that they couldn’t handle themselves or call you or guest relations if they needed something. Additionally, I think as a vacation you and your adult partner deserve some time alone without the kids.
Are they 2 girls, boy and girl, or 2 boys? May make a difference in the trouble they can get into, haha.
Disclaimer: I don’t have kids of my own (yet).

My plan is to call and see if they can do anything on their end. If they can't I'll go to the restaurant table or to a maitre'd. Thanks for advice.

So I was traveling with a group of 8 for an upcoming Getaway 7 night cruise, but now another person decided to come and will be staying alone in a studio. The issue is that we made reservations almost every night (3 in specialty restaurants and 3 in MDR's) for 8 people, but now we actually have 9.
Additionally, if we were to go modify the reservations, there isn't even an option for 9, only 8 at most places and one of the MDR's 10.
What do we do? We obviously want to eat at the specialty dining restaurants we booked (as we have the 3-night dining perk added to all our rooms) and don't want to have to break into smaller groups.

Thank you all for the responses. I've talked it over with the group I'm going with and we decided to venture out. Maybe do a tour or take a taxi shuttle to a beautiful beach!

Can't comment on the West End, but I have been to Roatan 3 times. It isn't bad. It's WAY better than Falmouth (or anywhere in Jamaica) or Costa Maya, Mexico, in my opinion. One time we went to a small island spa (since closed, I believe, this was about 10 years ago), recently we went to Little French Key (enjoyable), and once a while ago we got off and just walked around (which I do not recommend.)
Hope you reconsider and find something fun to do!
We are very open to this port, thank you for your input. Our ports include Costa Maya, Cozumel, Roatan, and Harvest Caye.
The reason we were planning on staying onboard the ship in Roatan was that I was told that there are people begging and that there are emaciated children and dogs everywhere. Now that I'm hearing from honest cruisers that it may be one of the best ports on our itinerary we will be looking into snorkeling spots.
