  1. We met up with some of our table mates from dinner and chatted for a while, when the captain made an announcement that a passenger had suffered a heart attack onboard and we would be diverting to San Diego to meet a medical helicopter for evacuation. After drinks, we headed back to the cabin so I could finish unpacking and found pillow chocolates. It’s the little things.
  2. After dinner we wandered through the casino. Tried to get some money out at the machine to play slots for a little while, but the machine didn’t even give us the option. We’ll have to check with the cashier or the casino host and see if we just missed something, or is it not available. Decided to head over to the Ensemble Lounge instead. My photos of the menu are blurry so I’ll get there later for better pics. I had a Last Voyage and Mark was boring with a Captain & Coke. He did get a double though and it was covered by the premium package.
  3. Dessert!! I opted for the chocolate lava cake. It’s hard to say no to that one.
  4. I had the Barolo Braised Beef Ragout. This is was quite good. And then the Roasted Veal. Also good.
  5. Watched as the Discovery Princess set sail ahead of us, then we were on our way. After watching sail away, we headed back to the room to check to see if luggage had been delivered and then shower and change before dinner.
  6. Plus!! They have a couple of pages with suggestions for drinks on both the Classic and the Premium package. This is helpful!
  7. Made it to the Sky Observation Lounge around 3:30 pm and found a nice spot by the window for sail away.
  8. Thank you! Lunch was delicious. And not having to fight the crowds at the buffet?? So much better. Highly recommend! Our favorite Celebrity cruise to-date has been the 12-night Alaska out of San Francisco on the Century. So many great memories!
  9. Forgot to mention. Completed the majority of our Muster Station briefing on the Celebrity app while waiting to board. Once we got on the ship, all that was left was to show up at our muster station (dining room- deck 4 for us) and check in. Easy peasy.
  10. It’s almost 3 pm. I think we will head up to the Sky Observation Lounge and get ready for sail away! 😁
  11. The app says our dinner is at 6:00 pm. But the confirmation in or stateroom says 5:45 pm. ☹️
  12. Closet and storage space in the stateroom. Outlets located at desk.
  13. Mini bar & bottle charges. In fridge at boarding. (You can speak with your stateroom attendant and have these items removed if desired.)
  14. Room service information. Complimentary. Additional charge. Beverages.
  15. Additional information provided in-cabin on the first day.
  16. There’s shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel provided by Celebrity. Also lotion and hand soap. If I remember correctly from our last Solstice cruise, the shampoo and conditioner are terrible. If at all possible, bring your own. The shower gel and lotion are not bad though. There’s also a hair dryer. Not sure why it’s in the bathroom though. You’ll need to plug it in at the desk in the room.
  17. Bathroom is pretty standard. But the shower has a (very) slightly larger footprint than our last Royal Caribbean cruise.
  18. Made it to the room. We are in a 1A balcony on deck 8 in the aft-side of the mid-ship hump. The slightly angled balcony gives a little more room, and the location is fantastic.
  19. Dessert!!!! Mark got the mochi ice cream. (This is his go-to.) I tried the caramelized ginger bread. So yummy.
