  1. Celebrity Today - Day 1 - Welcome Aboard Various Onboard Package prices
  2. Pretty standard bathroom. The “footprint” of the shower is slightly larger than our last RCCL cruise on Mariner. Included toiletries.
  3. Deck 8 Spacious Oceanview The window is actually in a little alcove. We overlook the helipad.
  4. I know!!! I’m disappointed in me too. I told you. Sometimes I just have no self control. I’ll do better.
  5. I’m so glad you asked! 😁 We ended up at the Martini Bar (to start). A Sapphire Collintini for me and (Mark is not creative in his drink choices) a Captain & Coke. You’re probably going to see a lot of those. But don’t worry! I’ll pick up the slack. You’re welcome. Martini Bar drink choices. I’m going to try that 25th anniversary martini. It’s an extra dollar (plus tip) but I’m willing to make the sacrifice. Again, you’re welcome. Look! All the wines are available with the Classic package.
  6. Also, no one asked to see our ArriveCAN information. Not sure if they’ll ask for it later, or if they know we did it because I added our reservation/stateroom number to our application. Guess we’ll see!
  7. Rooms aren’t quite ready yet. We are currently sitting in the Sky Observation Lounge. The misty rain is beginning to let up so we’ll probably head to the Mast Bar in a few. Classic Package Drink Choices (availability permitting, of course) And Premium Package Options (also includes everything on the Classic list) Other drinks are available at bars throughout the ship. But people often ask what they can get with the classic package. Hopefully, this can give some ideas.
  8. Woo hoo! Made it onboard. Not one person checked our assigned boarding time.
  9. Thanks! Everything has been repacked. I am currently checking all the cabinets, drawers, and cubbies to make sure I didn’t forget anything. We were here one night. I didn’t even use any of the cabinets, drawers, or cubbies. But there is just no possible way I could leave this room without checking everything. Twice. Oh. And it’s still drizzling. It’s like an authentic Seattle welcome! 😁
  10. If you have a “World of Hyatt” account (it’s free to sign up), the hotel lets you do remote check in and check out. You can also use your phone as a room key to open your door. Just checked Uber and Lyft. UberX will be $21 plus tip. Lyft Standard is $27 + tip or $24 if we don’t mind waiting.
  11. Thanks! It’s funny. I take tons of cruise food photos. Mark has gotten so used to it, that sometimes he’ll even remind me to take one before I dig in and start eating! My self-control might be somewhat lacking.
  12. So my weather app says rainy weather until around 11:00 am. I’m crossing my fingers that it’s right. That’s when we’ll be heading to the port. Re-packing and checking ride share prices. It’s almost time!!!
  13. Decided we didn’t want to deal with walking in the wet weather this morning, so we had breakfast at the hotel restaurant - Conversation Kitchen and Bar. We had a “people-watching” view of Stewart St. Prices we’re high, but the service and food quality were stellar. And, yum, the coffee. Mark ordered the two egg breakfast. He said the bacon was amazing. I had the Classic Benedict. It came to the table with the poached eggs still piping hot. And was delicious.
  14. Thank you! We will definitely have lunch onboard. We are going to have to see if we are let in before 12:00. We don’t want to arrive too early in case they are strict with the boarding times. I don’t think we will get there much sooner than 11:30.
  15. It’s only 7 pm here in Seattle, but we are already exhausted. We decided to head back to the room and relax while we adjust to the 3-hour time difference. We’ll stay awake as long as we can and should be good by tomorrow. Our boarding time is scheduled for 12pm, but check out is at 11am. We may get to the port (just a little) early, since Google is telling me it’s about a 12-minute drive to the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal. I’ll let you know how it goes!
  16. It’s the Thompson Seattle. It’s a Hyatt branded hotel. I like it. It’s very conveniently located. But, to be honest, there are quite a few hotels in the area. This one is recommended on the West Coast Departures board every now and then. We booked an interior courtyard view king room for $260. But they have some nicer water view rooms too.
  17. We are one block from the Market and decided to take a quick walk and find a late lunch/early dinner. Stopped in a bar & restaurant (Lowell’s) overlooking the water. I had blackened cod tacos which were great!! Messy. So, so, so messy. But delicious. Mark had a mixed grill plate with King Salmon, Dungeness crab cakes, and grilled shrimp. He wished his piece of salmon was bigger (it was about the size of a deck of cards), but everything was very tasty.)
  18. Made it safely to Seattle on a relatively uneventful flight (those are the best kind). Took a taxi from the airport and it was $41 with tip (we will probably check Uber or Lyft when we return). The hotel is kind of a boutique hotel with dark hallways (it’s chic, ya know) and small, but comfortable, rooms.
  19. Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway Plus Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier
  20. Received notice about the tendering situation in Skagway.
  21. Awesome! I’m happy to hear all these positive reviews. 😁 Flight scheduled to board in 30 minutes!!
  22. According to the time stamp on the email, the notification was sent at 11:10 pm yesterday. So about a day and a half before departure. It does seem that they like to wait until the last possible minute, doesn’t it?
