  1. Kikki I've been to both Pompeii and Herculaneum before and by comparison Herculaneum is much smaller and doable in a short space of time. It's also better preserved in some ways. I'll be taking the kids to Pompeii on our stop using the bus/train as they've never been and I think they'll be more impressed by the scale. If you did consider Pompeii there is a very good app called Pompeii a day in the past, that has self guided tours based on how much time you can afford.

  2. Thanks Skier it was that picture I'd seen. Personally I think the Aurea package IS worth it ( perhaps dependent on which ship you're on). It gives you an opportunity to select a better cabin, use of spa facilities, massage included, free access to top sun deck, mychoice dining and of course the drinks package. I accept that if you do like a good choice of higher quality drinks it may not be ideal but generally speaking I think it's a good package from an all inclusive perspective .

  3. You can/might be able to upgrade to the deluxe/premium package at a specified cost but would need to pay for all. I've not heard anyone who has been on meraviglia talk about this but it's possible. If you look on Beamafar posts from Meraviglia she's published drinks menus anything without an asterisk next to it is covered on the basic package, if it has asingle asterisk it's covered by the deluxe/premium package as well. Anything with two asterisks is t covered by any package.

It covers ice creams, sodas, coffees etc in certain bar/lounges ( but not all ).

I think someone posted an example of upgrade costs for the Davina and it looked quite expensive to me.

  4. Can't wait for the review kikki. In particular interested to see how the MDR are after the initial couple of weeks. You're Aurea arent you? Which is the same as us so I'm interested in how the My Choice dining works for you and what the Top 19 sun deck is like ( I have managed to find just one pic of this so far). Have a great time and hope it's everything you expect!

  5. Great stuff both. Kikki I bet you really can't wait now! We've still got 30 days to go!!!! I think I've watched pretty much every video on YT. Saw the vids of the Way and Paz show today and was quite impressed.

  6. Quite a lot of posts on the forum will have menus for different speciality restaurants on different ships so if you do a search you'll find some. If you have booked then if you log on to the website using your booking number and name you'll be able to see the cost of buying speciality restaurant packages which may be better value if you intend to try a number of them.

  7. Post #131 on this thread has the drinks menu for the "pub" which seems to show a big selection of beers without an asterisk so I'm assuming in the all inclusive drinks?
