    Hello Everyone my Name is Kathy

     

    I am very Excited to be going on a Oasis Class Ship, for the very First time.

    Little Cruising history. This will be my 6th Cruise, and my 3rd on a Royal Caribbean Ship.

    It was 2007 the last time I took a Royal Caribbean Cruise. I tried out a few other Cruise lines, between then, and now, and they were just ok.

    When my Husband and I started looking at Cruise's for this year, I knew, it HAD to be Royal Caribbean, or nothing.

    My Husband is retired Army, and runs a message Military Travel Board. Every other year the Members get together, for a Cruise.

    We are hosts for this Space Available Travel Group. We have 8 other members in our Group.

     

    Along with doing the live Blog here, I will also be Periscoping (Live Streaming Video) from the Ship.

    Yay!! Just followed you on periscope (haleybailey01)!!! So looking forward to both you and Kat periscoping next week! I head out on Allure June 19. It is also the western itinerary so I am very excited to cruise along with you!!

    It is my first visit to this LIVE thread. At sail away we had heavy rain but then mother nature put on a spectacular show with a rainbow and a fantastic sunset in Jamaica.

     

     

     

    I was taking photos from my deck 8 port side balcony and was hoping someone would appear on the bridge wing to get a silhouette in the sunset.

     

     

     

    My prayers were answered and even better was that is was our own "Bugsy' I just love these photos I was able to capture of Chris as he was scoping from the port side bridge wing.

    Periscoping LIVE From Allure - May 15, 2016!

    I forgot to mention that I will be doing my pre-cruise for one night at the Margaritaville Resort on Hollywood Beach, so I will definitely be doing a little scope that afternoon and give a tour.

     

    I've stayed there once before and it was a lot of fun. They have a great pool area, they even have a flowrider!

     

     

    I have heard of that place, but have never saw it.

    That will be Great to see that Scope!!!

    Definitely make sure to scope the flow Rider there, would love to see that as well.

    Can't wait!!!!!

    Another first for me will be I am staying at different hotel this time pre cruise. Many of you know the reason for this and I prefer not to bring up again so I would ask everyone to respect my wishes and just leave it at that. I will be staying the Hyatt Place on 17th street right near the Convention Center and not even 2 miles from where Oasis docks at Port Everglades. From some of the pictures I have seen, I think I enjoy the hotel:

    Chris, I can tell you, this is a great hotel!!! I stayed there, when I cruised from Port Everglades in 2014. I will be staying there again this year when I go on Allure OTS, on May 15th. I will be staying at the hotel the day before the Cruise. [emoji41][emoji572]️[emoji924]

    I thoroughly enjoyed Andrew's scopes and it was almost like being there. Was a wonderful way to build excitement for our next cruise. I would feel terrible if I did not pay it forward in at least a small way. I'm planning on doing a periscope while boarding FOS on Sunday April 3. Will do views of the ship and the cabin (it is a nice one :)). Will not have VOOM but can do St. Thomas on the regular Verizon plan.

    I enjoy technology but a cruise is my one escape from regular life so we put the phones in the safe and go off-line for the week. @silvermcs

    Go to http://katch.me and setup a free account it will automatically save your periscopes.

     

     

     

    Periscopes only last for 24 hours, but Katch.me lasts until you delete it.

    My question is does your Periscope name, and your Twitter name have to match, in order to save the scopes?

    This is great! I had watched a few boring Periscopes on my laptop for a work project but hadn't downloaded the app. Well, I just saw this thread, downloaded the app, and am ready and waiting for cruise videos...I'm liking Periscope much better now :D

     

     

     

    I've followed everyone mentioned so far. I'll periscope our Anthem cruise to Bermuda June 11-16. My shiny, brand new Periscope username is @SeaSetter

    O.K. I feel totally ridiculous for asking, but I have the periscope app. Do posters have to accept my request before I can see their videos? Can you see the posts after the fact, or do you need to view them "live" I'm sure this will be a new distraction for me!!

    No. You do not have to follow them in order to see the videos, BUT... you should follow, because it will notify you when they come on to periscope, and you will be able to find the periscoper's video feed easier.

    You can go back and watch them after-the-fact.

    The periscope feeds, will be able to be viewed, for 24 hours, from when the periscoper aired the live feed,.

    Just purchased the Voom Wifi pkg today for my upcoming Cruise on Allure of the Seas.
