  1. I will be going on Liberty this July. I would like to try some spa services (massage and pedicure). Although the prices are more expensive on the ship than if I were to get it done at the mall, I would like to treat myself since I've worked 3 jobs this past year. Anyone have any experience? How was it? Do I still have to leave additional tip? I've never even had a massage before!

  2. Royal Caribbean caters too all age groups. I took my first cruise at 29 and this year will be my 4th cruise at 32. I've always went with a friend. On all my cruises, I thought there was a wide range of age groups and everyone was always so nice. Also, I noticed that there seemed to be more of a younger crowd to beachy destinations (but there was was still a nice age range). I felt as though, the smaller ships tend to get more older folks and the bigger ships may attract younger crowds since there is more to do on them. Please give it a thought to try Royal Caribbean! You won't be disappointed!

  3. Hi guys! I always get the transfer from airport to pier and back to the airport. How long was the transfer to Galveston (from Houston airport) and back to the airport at the end? I'm not worried about getting to pier on first day because my flight gets in early. My flight home on the last day leaves at 1pm.

  4. Last year one of my ports was Nassau. I did not like it due to the people being aggressive. Also, another reason is the treatment of horses. I can't remember what it's called but when they offer you tours on horses. The horses are under weight and there was no water in the bowls for them. It had to be 95 degrees out . They look so sad. Online you can see pictures of them getting abused and dying while giving tours and the people of Nassau dragging the bodies down the street. They don't give a crap about life just about making money. The horses are lined up once you walk into the town part. It's so sad. I never want to see that scene again.

  5. My friend and I had the same decision to make for Belize City. Last week, we finally booked an excursion to see some of the ruins. It's part boat ride through a jungle to get to the ruins and than off to see and even climb a temple! Good luck!

  6. We have been told the same . We opted out of pre paying tips this time ( just cruised once previously ) and have decided just to tip individuals .

My question to you would be do you tip the individuals eg at meals times on a daily basis ? Does it make more sense to tip the cabin attendant at the start of the trip so they do a good job ( in fairness they always have ) ? Because previously the Expectation would be to tip everyone on the last night ? Any advise welcome thanks

Even though you are not prepaying them, you will be charged daily on the ship ( I think it's around $17-$19 a day). So don't think that you will have the option of tipping on your own.

  7. My friend and I typically go to the windjammer for all meals because we are confused from previous cruises on how to use My Time Dining (when we would go with the main dining hall at the time on our card, they would say we needed reservations still when we would go. When we would call to make reservations and no one would pick up) so we kind of just didn't deal with it and went to the windjammer.

This will be our 4th cruise and I am determined to eat in the Main Dining Hall at least twice haha! Anyways, when we booked this cruise we got the option to reserve times online (60-90 days before sailing). We are both vegetarians and was wondering if there was anyway to see the menus before sailing so we know which dates to choose.

Also, do any show times interfere with dining times? We always loved going to all of the shows and would hate to reserve something during showtime.

Last question: If we reserve a certain date online and decided not to go, are we penalized? I would assume no because it's included with the cruise but I don't know for sure 100%

    Thanks ahead of time everyone!!!

  8. I personally would prebook any excursions. This year will be my 4th cruise and I still feel like I am learning more about cruising. I like the fact that the the excursions you book through RC are safe and bring you back to the ship on time....even if you your tour is running late (my tour in Rome was late), they called the ship and waited. I know for a fact that any private tours you take that were not book through Royal Caribbean would not have they benefit...you would have to travel to the next port to get back on the ship. I rather be safe than sorry. There are plenty of excursions to choose from. Good luck and enjoy cruising!

  9. I booked a cruise last November when they had the deals BOBO 50% off plus free internet. I don't see anywhere on my account that I have free internet. I tried to contact them but I haven't had any responses so far in 9 nine days. Anyone having the same issue?

  10. I viewed some of the current compasses for Liberty of the Seas. I see that some of the later shows are standing room only. Really? You can't sit for some of the broadway shows? That's just crazy to me! I thought there were two levels of sitting. Anyone know more information on this. My past cruises were on their smaller ships so this ship is my biggest one yet.

  11. Main Dining: Any of the pasta dishes especially the one made with Olive Oil and garlic

Windjammer: I love their hashbrowns at breakfast as well as their French toast and fresh fruit. Lunch: I love their fries (I'm a potato person lol). Dinner I always make sure to get their garlic bread if they have it. I love their salad bar at any time of the day!

About the ship: I love their shows...especially the comedians that come on board. I like to relax the most, whether it's laying outside or inside with a drink listening to the bands/singers that play. I love the 70's night...nothing beats the village people!

Cabin: I'm not in the cabin much. We always get the cheapest room so I know we have limited space. I don't worry to much about storage since I'm only in their to sleep and to get ready.
