  1. Hello @Kgfloyd1 and welcome to Cruise Critic & the message boards! To help you out your new topic titled Where to stay in Vancouver?/Things to do? has been moved to the correct forum, West Coast Departures. The forum is for questions concerning hotel, transportation, dining & embarkation information. Browse through the thread titles on this forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you. Be sure to find the Cruise Critic Roll Call thread for your cruise. For information about our Roll Calls, please read What is a Roll Call? Everything you Need to Know and How To: Create A New Roll Call. For more information about our famous Roll Calls, please read the Roll Calls and Our Policy Regarding Facebook and Roll Calls sections in the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships. We also have the following Cruise Critic article you might enjoy: 8 Reasons to Join a Cruise Critic Roll Call The Cruise Critic website and message boards are a great resource for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are so glad you found us! Please feel free to browse the Cruise Critic Community categories list for the various message board forums. Read a few threads in the different forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads (aka Stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there. I sincerely hope this will be helpful to someone new to posting on our message boards. We are glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic! Happy sails, Host Kat
  2. @tusconcam Thank you for your new thread on the Ask a Cruise Question forum. It is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. However, your thread is off topic there since your topic concerns a specific cruise line tour and a specific port of call. Since you have already posted on the France Ports forum, I have moved your thread to the Celebrity Cruises forum where hopefully you will get more advice concerning the feasibility of the ship's tour & what you want to do. I suggest you use the Follow feature on this thread or any other thread where you are interested in the new replies. That way you will not have to go looking to see if there are new replies because they will come looking for you as notifications! If you need more info on how to do it, please click the following: How to: Follow Topics & Forums (Subscribed Threads/Forums Info) Happy sails, Host Kat
  3. @jsglow Actually, not true regarding the Cruise Critic website running a travel agency. Please note the following from the Do you sell cruises? Are you sponsored by the cruise lines? Do the cruise lines pay you to say good things about them? section in the Guidelines we all agree to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships: Cruise Critic is not a travel agency; we do not sell cruises. We do not rate or recommend travel agencies. Our mission is to help travelers plan the best possible cruise vacation. We are not sponsored by any cruise line. Like most websites, we do accept advertising and, at times, partner with cruise lines for contests, events (such as Meet & Mingle parties). At Cruise Critic our mission is to provide balanced, unbiased reporting and take our journalistic credibility seriously. It is central to this mission for the site to provide you, the reader and our members, with an accurate and reliable resource on all aspects of cruising, and we do so by pairing our editorial content with thousands of reviews from our members of the site. Cruise Critic accepts advertising, but it remains strictly impartial from an editorial standpoint -- something which is made clear to all advertisers. What the Guidelines DO say about Participation of Travel Agents: Travel agents (and their associates, employees or designated representative) are encouraged to participate in the discussions on the Cruise Board and establish themselves as experts on a particular topic by responding to members' inquiries with useful answers. You are welcome to sign your first name and note your professional business as long as you comply with the following: You may not use your business name as your Cruise Critic user name. You may sign your posts with your first name only. You may include your company name in your signature. No phone numbers, business location (city or state), web site address, contact info or e-mail address are allowed either in signatures or your Cruise Critic profile. Responding to member's inquiries on the boards with an ad for your services is not allowed. Only items of a general nature may be discussed on the forums by any travel agent. Travel agents are not allowed to solicit for tours on Roll Calls. Cruise Critic considers requests to be E-mailed for additional information as soliciting and will return those postings to any travel agent trying to sell or promote themselves on Cruise Critic. Additionally, attempts to circumvent our rules may result in your company name being censored from our forums. The above guidelines are not all inclusive, and Cruise Critic reserves the right to remove any image, logo, byline, user name, posting, avatar, or picture that, in the sole opinion of Cruise Critic is too promotional in tone.Cruise Critic reserves the right to remove any material from our message boards without notification. And what the Guidelines DO say about Travel Agent Recommendations: There shall be no third-party recommendation (whether positive or negative in content) of travel agencies on any forums within Cruise Critic. General discussions regarding the TYPE of AGENCY to be used to purchase a cruise will be allowed, as long as no recommendations for any source of purchase are posted.Touting of your personal cruise agent or cruise line "personal cruise consultant" (or any other venue by which you purchase a cruise) is not allowed on our message boards. Postings that contain "tell them John sent you" will be removed without notice. This means you should not ask about someone's travel agent, nor should you respond in kind. Offering to email someone your travel agent's name or info is also not allowed, nor is asking members to email you for the information.Cruise Critic will remove violations of the "third-party recommendation" guideline without warning. Additional posts may result in permanent suspension of your posting privileges. Also, some of the above is mentioned in the Advertising is Not Allowed section in the Guidelines: Cruise Critic has strict guidelines prohibiting blatant advertising, commercial sales and solicitation posts on all of our message boards. Our Cruise Community is meant to be an exchange of advice and tips where cruisers can talk about their travels -- not a marketplace for advertising and selling services. There are thousands of cruise professionals online and if we didn't insist on a non-solicitation policy the cruise boards would be very quickly overrun with nothing but ads.Cruise Critic defines advertising as an individual or company's attempt to generate business or other commercial enterprise, either directly or indirectly, by using our Cruise Board. Solicitation includes, but is not limited to, requests to be E-mailed, the posting of phone numbers for your business, constantly mentioning that you are in the travel business, and the referring to or posting of one's own Web site address. There shall be no third-party recommendation (whether positive or negative in tone) of travel agencies on any forums within Cruise Critic. Offering to email someone your travel agent's name or info is also not allowed, nor is asking members to email you for the information. It also means you cannot post links to travel agencies, no matter what the specific reason.Cruise Critic will remove violations of the "third-party recommendation" rule without warning. Additional posts will result in permanent suspension of your posting privileges. This also means NO HINTS are allowed in trying to recommend or ask about any travel agent/agency or any other source/venue for cruise purchase. As a non-paid volunteer Cruise Critic message board Host, just wanted to put the record straight here on the boards. Hope this will be informative to all reading this thread. Happy sails, Host Kat
  4. @Karysa Thank you for your post. However, your share request can only be posted on the specific Roll Call thread for your specific cruise. Please note the following portion of What is a Roll Call? Everything you Need to Know: Shore Excursion/Tour Shares in ROLL CALLS This is an excellent benefit of participating on your ROLL CALL. If you are sailing on a specific ship and departure date, you may post your share request on the specific Roll Call topic for your cruise. You are targeting the specific group of people who would be most inclined to share since they are already sailing with you. Please remember, do not start a new Roll Call topic on the Roll Call forum or any other message board forum with your share request. Use your existing Roll Call topic to post your share request. Please note, our Guidelines do not allow personal ads looking to share shore excursions/tours, transportation, etc. anywhere else on Cruise Critic. I'm New Here, Can I Post Looking for a Shore Excursion/Tour Share? Technically, the answer is yes. However, our ROLL CALLS are not a classified ad area for your tour share. They are, as mentioned above, a place for cruisers to get to know one another before they sail. You will receive a much better response to your TOUR SHARE REQUEST if you take some time to read the entire ROLL CALL; get to know the other members and allow them to get to know YOU first! That is the spirit of our ROLL CALLS. If my ROLL CALL is slow may I post it in other forums? No. Please don't post topics looking for others cruising with you or share requests for tours, excursions, transportation, etc. on any of our other forums. Roll Calls became so popular that there was a need to set up a separate area for them. We ask that you keep Roll Call type discussions on your existing Roll Call topic in the ROLL CALL forums and keep the other forums open for general cruise discussions according to forum topic If you have further questions, or need roll call assistance, please write to: Help@CruiseCritic.com
  5. Hello everyone! There were two threads for this topic, Winemaker diner; Caymus- all princess cruises and New Princess Wine Dinners are coming. Hope this will be helpful and glad to have everyone aboard Cruise Critic! Happy sails, Host Kat

  7. @ncgirl12692 Welcome to Cruise Critic and the message boards! Thank you for your new topic on the Ask a Cruise Question forum! However, it is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. Your inquiry concerns a specific cruise line ship and is off topic there. To help you out I have moved your new topic to the Carnival Cruise Lines forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have sailed Carnival Liberty frequent this forum and provide feedback here. Browse through the thread titles on this forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you. 9. @dasreiseteam If your email address of choice has changed, be sure to have your Cruise Critic email address of record changed too. That is where Cruise Critic emails are sent to you. Please click the following: How To: Update your Cruise Critic Email Address Please make sure you have the email address cruisecritic@invisioncloudcommunity.com white listed and/or on your safe senders list & in your Address Book contacts. Perhaps you accidently marked one of the Cruise Critic emails as Spam. If so, I suggest you contact your email provider to see if that can be corrected. Not sure how many email notifications you are receiving per day or at a time, but it could be your email provider is aggressive to prevent spam. Thinking that multiple emails in a row from Cruise Critic would be spam, they bounce one of the Cruise Critic emails back to Cruise Critic. Once one of the Cruise Critic notification emails to you is bounced back to Cruise Critic, then the Cruise Critic software stops sending you any further notification emails. Please email help@cruisecritic.com from your Cruise Critic email address of record and mention your user name. Explain the above possible bounce back situation and ask if the situation applies to your Cruise Critic account. IIRC, CC Help Michell can possibly investigate for the bounce back situation and possibly correct. Regarding Notifications from your Followed threads, first make sure you are logged in with your user name & password. Click your user name located upper right over the small Search bubble in the blue bar. Next, click Account Settings. Under Other Settings, click Notification Settings. On the next page to appear, click Mentions & My Content and Followed Content. Click the little down arrow to open each section and make sure each item is set for your preference. Also, click this link: Manage Followed Content You will see a list for Topics I Follow. To the right of each topic you can select change preference and make your choice OR you can completely unfollow the topic. You can also check the boxes next to each topic to make changes to multiple topic notification preferences at once If you use our Gallery Feature, make sure to look at the left of the page when you are viewing your managed content. There is a menu there to select the tabs for albums and images to choose how you receive notifications for items you follow there. Personally, I no longer use email for Cruise Critic notifications. I have all mine set to Notification List. I just click the Notifications Bell (to the left of my user name over the small Search bubble) to get the clickable list for all of mine. Hope something in this reply will be helpful! 🤞 Happy sails, Host Kat

  18. @Romee1 A clip of your previous user name account: When it opens click Find Content Here is a clip of the next screen: Under All Activity, click Posts Not all of your previous 77 posts will show up. It will be just the last few. There have been a lot of changes around here since your last post in 2017. The Cruise Critic message board software switched from vBulletin to Invision Community in October 2018 and has been tweaked often since then. Also, we moved to new servers in May 2019. Changes mean a lot of the 'old' stuff you mention is archived and no longer available. Now regarding you having two user name accounts, members are allowed only one account. Please contact CC Help Michell, Community Support Assistant, at help@cruisecritic.com. Let her know about both user name accounts and the email addresses you used on each account. She will then be able to merge your two accounts to the user name you want to keep. That way you will have not lost your previous post count. Make sure you read the pinned threads (aka Stickies) on the top of the first page of this Help forum. You will find very important instructions or information there. Due to the changes I mentioned above, some things may have changed since you last used the message boards. FYI: The Message feature is disabled for members. It is available for use by Administrators & Hosts ONLY. We can use it with each other and to members. If one of us contacts a member via the feature, the member cannot reply back. Hope this will be helpful! Host Kat
  19. You are most welcome! I too use a CPAP. Mine came with instructions to never put it in checked luggage, only carry on. And in the included bag with all the well-padded hidey-holes for the various parts.
