  3. Hello @Joesph and welcome to the Cruise Critic website & message boards! Thank you for your first new thread on the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum. However, it is off topic there. The forum is for questions and answers relating to technical assistance in using the Cruise Critic message board software and not for cruise-related questions or Roll Calls. To help you out, your first new thread has been moved to the Celebrity Cruises forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that sail with Celebrity frequent this forum. Browse through the thread titles in this forum looking for threads of interest. You may find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you. Also, your thread may be helpful for other members. The following is for a new member to help you navigate our message board. The Cruise Critic website and message board are both great resources for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are so glad you found us! Please click here Cruise Critic Community for all our various discussion forum categories. I suggest you put the page link in your browser's Favorites for quick & easy access in the future. Please read a few threads in the various forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Please make sure you read any pinned threads (aka stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there. Since you have a cruise booked, be sure to see if there is an existing Cruise Critic Roll Call thread for your specific cruise line, ship and sail date. Please click What is a Roll Call? Use the Roll Call Finder Tool at the top of the specific ROLL CALLS forum for your specific cruise line and ship to see if there is an existing Roll Call thread for your specific sail date. If not, feel free to start one! Just follow the directions in How To: Create A New Roll Call, especially how they are to be titled. And don't worry about any responsibilities in starting a Cruise Critic Roll Call thread. Our Roll Calls belong to all Cruise Critic members sailing that cruise; there is no designated leader or owner. It does not matter who started the thread. Our Roll Calls are for Cruise Critic members sailing on the same cruise. They get to know one another online before their cruise so there will be all kinds of discussion in the Roll Call thread for their cruise! If one already exists for your specific cruise line, ship and sail date, click the Roll Call title to open the thread and read through the posts to get to know the other Cruise Critic members sailing with you. There is a "captive audience" there since you are all sailing together! Your fellow Roll Call thread members may have important information posted in your Roll Call thread. Especially those that may have sailed your line, ship or itinerary before. Also, they may have already posted share requests that may interest you. Please remember the following portion from the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships: Browse Before You Post Browse a topic first to see if your question has already been asked or answered by someone else. Also, many of the major cruise lines forums have a FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) topic that has been created by our members. Give that a try first. Browsing is your #1 best resource! Please post your messages in an appropriate topic so that you'll receive the best possible response. It is very time consuming to move misplaced messages that are in the wrong topics. Anytime you need to start a new thread on any of our various discussion forums, first make sure you are in the correct forum for your thread so it will be on topic. Use the dark blue Start new topic button and word your new thread title in a way to help the members know exactly the information you seek. This greatly helps the members browsing through the thread titles and if they know the information, they will post replies to you. Also, it is best to limit each inquiry message to only one topic such as one cruise line, one ship, one port of call, etc. and of course, on the correct forum where it will be on topic. You will get more replies that way. Be sure to mention important details such as the cruise line, ship, sail date or port in your inquiry message. That sort of detailed information in your inquiry message will help your fellow Cruise Critic members help you with their replies. Don't forget! After your cruise be sure to submit your review for publication by Cruise Critic. Many cruisers will benefit from your experience! Make YOUR voice heard. Your honest cruise review will influence the next year's Cruisers' Choice award winners and help others choose the right sailing. Please click here: How To: Write & Submit a Member Review. And if you ever need technical help in regard to using the Cruise Critic message board software, come back to the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum. 15. Hello @Yaya999 Thank you for your new thread on the Cruise Blogs & Websites forum! However, it is the forum where our members post their personal travelogue-type of cruise-related blogs or websites. Your inquiry was off topic there. To help you out your new thread has been moved to the Ask a Cruise Question forum where it will be on topic. It is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. The Cruise Critic website and message board are both great resources for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are so glad you have posted! Hope this will be helpful and glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic! Happy sails, Host Kat
  16. Hello @cruisinmama82 and welcome to the Cruise Critic website and message board! Thank you for your new thread on the Ask s Cruise Question forum. However, it is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. Your inquiry was off topic there since it really should be on the specific cruise line forum for your cruise. As mentioned above, different cruise lines have different rules. 🙂 I see by one of your previous posts you are sailing January 05, 2025 on Carnival Celebration. To help you out, your new thread has been moved to the Carnival Cruise Lines forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that sail on Carnival frequent this forum. Browse through the thread titles in this forum looking for threads of interest. You may find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you. Also, your thread may be helpful for other members seeking the same information. If you ever need technical help in regard to using the Cruise Critic message board software, go to the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum. You will see a large amount of "How to..." pinned threads on the forum's first page. Also, browse through the threads in the forum looking for threads of interest. 18. @zitsky There are links mentioned in both of the two threads mentioned in my previous post, so I do not know which "that article" you mean. How to: Change your Cruise Critic User Name posted on December 09, 2020 by CC Help Jenn who turned her job duties over to CC Help Michell some time ago. How To: Update your Cruise Critic Email Address posted on April 04, 2023 by LauraS. The correct email address for the Help Desk, now handled by CC Help Michell, UGC Content Coordinator, is still help@cruisecritic.com. If you need to email LauraS, Senior Manager, Community, regarding her thread, she is reached via email to community@cruisecritic.com as mentioned in the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships. With either email address, please send your email from your current Cruise Critic email address of record and be sure to mention your Cruise Critic user name. And as mentioned in my previous post, this is so your membership can be quickly verified, and any reply sent to your correct Cruise Critic email address of record. Our Roll Calls are for Cruise Critic members sailing on the same cruise. They get to know one another online before their cruise so there will be all kinds of discussion in the Roll Call thread for their cruise! If one already exists for your specific cruise line ship and sail date, click the Roll Call title to open the thread and read through the posts to get to know the other Cruise Critic members sailing with you.
