  1. Hey everyone, thank you very much for your input.  After reading all your comments, definitely going with the Deluxe balcony that includes the small sofa....Cruise with Royal Carib 99% of the time, and I must admit, balcony cabins are larger than princess.  But in my opinion, just my opinion, food has gone downhill on Royal....and everyone we talk to said Princess to Alaska should be the 1st choice.  So here we go, Discovery Princess, Deluxe Balcony, Alaska here we come!

  2. Been on too many cruises to ask a question like this, sorry in advance, but on the Princess website (Deck Plans) the standard balcony i.e. cabin B215 shows a larger square footage than a deluxe balcony i.e. cabin B733.....weird, right? or not lol

Any insight to the madness?? haha ...

I think recently it's just been a copy of this with a greeting from the loyalty ambassador.

What do you want to reconfirm?

If you are booked in the Yacht Club, then your status is insignificant. Your complimentary specialty restaurant can be tossed away and not bother to use as the fare in the YC restaurant with its own chef is better. In the mean time, find a 'good' travel agent so you do not 'leave' UP TO 10% of the cruise fare on the table (unless you are a big tipper) on top of the 5% Voyagers discount off the fare.

Any recommendations for a GOOD travel agent?  usually book direct , haven't had great luck with a couple cruise agencies

  5. Good afternoon, need an EXPERIENCED MSC cruiser or referral to a MSC specialist travel agent.  50+ cruises with Royal Caribbean plus princess, carnival, celebrity, but have never had this many problems with MSC.  We are trying to book a Northern Europe cruise for December onboard the Preziosa.  Status match should be Diamond with MSC.  Concierge not a big help, gave me wrong info....reservations gave friends and me different info, etc.....HELP !!!

    Thanks,

First time after many many cruises, I'm stumped.  (My bad)...lol

Arriving into Orlando at 5pm from Chicago on Thanksgiving day and plan on staying in Cocoa Beach that night....Well, between Uber, Taxi, shuttle, etc, pricing are coming in at between $150 to $200 one way from the airport to cocoa beach for that evening.  Any suggestions?

Otherwise guess we'll stay close to the airport and take Royal Caribbean transfers on Friday morning to Port Canaveral (Allure)

OKAY !! AVIS rent a car Orlando airport to Port Canaveral is the absolute BEST way to go on 11/23. so now......Port back to airport.....CORTRANS OR CRUISE CONTROL....,Anyone use them before? any comments or suggestions?  Cortrans $60 total, Cruise Control $50 total....assume they're both ok and reliable

Have you checked the S class cabin sticky at the top of the page?  Look for reviews of that cabin on any of the S class ships.  EM

Hi, I'm sorry but you lost me....S class cabin sticky at the top of the page? (what page?) Thanks for your help and advice, just if you could explain a little further I'd really apreciate it

  9. Good morning, any opionions on Cabin 6303? Just received our GTY cabin assignment, just spoke to Celebrity and they were very very accomoadation, said we can pick any available cabin in that category.....6303 looks good, no lifeboat view, larger balcony maybe......Thanks everyone in advance for your input.

Do not have a copy of a letter but had a couple during cruise.  Elite were invited to a cocktail event in January and on April/May  cruises.  They festured 3 cocktails you got to try and had music.   Next invite was leaving a port to be on the Heliopad.   (That one said closed toed shoes and these 2 cruises, they sent people back to change.  )     And another a wine tasting

However, with Celebrity changing things so rapidly, the above could change

    have a fabulous cruise

Thanks very much !! Reflection 12/23 ..... I'm sure it will be amazing

  11. Good morning, just a quick question (I should know the answer) lol......we received our cabin assignment today for our Christmas Cruise on the Reflection.  We had a GTY Prime inside cabin category which is fine.  BUT, they assigned us a wheelchair handicapped accessible stateroom.  We've had those before, and of course the cabin is larger, but just a bit awkward as counters, sink, etc is lowered for a passenger in a wheelchair.  How is Celebrity about changing the cabin assignment even to a smaller cabin if we really don't like utilizing a handicapped accessible stateroom.  Waiting for a call back from reservaions (current hold time is about 1 hour)....Thanks in advance for your help and information on the subject.

    Mike

  12. Good morning, just a quick question...first time Celebrity (Diamond Plus on RCI - not sure if we'll make Pinnacle)... Does Celebrity give you any type of discounts and or specials. i.e. BOGO at specialty restaurants, etc. like RCI does.....Upon arrival in your RCI cabin there's a welcome letter with what Diamond Plus members can take advantage of during the cruise.....

Also, booked the cruise well over a year in advance (took advantage of an amazing offer for an inside guarantee (first time in an inside cabin) but couldn't refuse the deal we found.....the cruise now is sold out for Inside/Oceanview cabins....does anyone have any experience with this being an Elite and MAYBE getting upgraded due the guarantee category you're booked in is sold out?

Thanks in advance for everyone's information on this subject.

Hi - I can't speak to Quantum specifically but on Anthem - the one with the separate shower is a "Spa Jr Suite" which is now called J4 (I think -- someone will come along and correct me, I'm sure) and the previously known "Family Jr Suite" is a J3 - that's the one with the 1 and 1/2 bath.   I have sailed in the FJS/J3 when it was called a FJS, and I'm booked to be in a J3 in a few weeks.

I believe these are called the same on Quantum but I'm sure you can pull up a deck plan and get an idea of which are which -- they seem to be "stacked" - ie., Deck 9 cabin #s are the same as Deck 10 etc. for those cabins.

Depending on how many people you are sharing with -- one may be better than the other.

    Sandy

Thank you, its funny, when I call Royal, reservations or Crown & Anchor, they say these cabins don't exist...just a little frustrating.....Love the JS with the tub and she seperate shower.....dont need the one with 1 1/2 bath....going to book a J4 and hope for the best lol , thanks again

  14. Good morning from Chicago !! Confirmed on Quantum next year and looking to upgrade to a JS.  I've watched many videos, read probably way too much, but can anyone recommend what they believe is the "best" JS/category........Some videos show a shower across from the bathtub, some show a 2nd bathroom (1/2 bath) and when calling Royal Caribbean they say these cabins dont exist.....

Thanks in advance for your recommendations .

We personally liked the ones on the lido deck, deck 16 - MC and MF category I believe.  If you are in a warm climate and enjoy being outdoors by the pools, hottubs, buffet its a great location.  If you are more of a "deck 7" kind of person during the day and night, its several decks down (and eventually back up) and may not be everyone's preference.

Done, Thank you! Mini Suite on Deck 16 Sky Princess .....

On Royal class we always get a mini suite on Lido deck.  Next cruise on Royal Princess we have L210 booked.  So convenient and mini suites have all

the room we need.  Worth every penny.

Good morning!  Thank you very much, called Princess and upgraded to a mini suite on Deck 16, Lido Deck, (L210)....lol  Appreciate your help.

  17. Thank you very much for your reply.....just want to confirm...(sorry) but if we get a mini suite on say deck 14 or 15, those that have standard balcony cabins above us cannot look directly down onto our balcony.

I do understand what you're saying about the tiered on grand/caribbean princess, we had people throwing things down on our balcony.  Thanks again for your help
