Hi Fragilek, any chance you could scan/print and post or post a photo of the email so I could take a copy on board ship and forward it to RCI in my emails. As I will be over the moon with the $10 pppn upgrade.

I am one of the upset Brits and yes the select package with a cheap upgrade was the main reason of pushing my budget to the max to join the cruise I have booked, I have spoke with RCI, usual cannot do anything have a nice day youall call. But I now have to pay $520 on board not $286 an 85% rise. So yes I feel annoyed and technically ColaradoGurl is correct I am still getting Select as promised, but the whole booking process whilst onboard the Indy was book now and cheaply upgrade.

Thank you for the Taxi option, I think as we have been to Bruges 5 or 6 times in the past we have decided to stay in the little seaside town where the train station is and go back to the ship earlier as we are 1st time Cunard it will give us more time to explore the ship.

It was the TA onboard my last cruise not that easy to speak with her.

Not forcing no but when the onboard TA suggested that you take the Select package and upgrade on board for $11 per day it was a done deal and I booked, as I drink mixed drinks and cocktails on board the cost of this was built into by choice of booking, when I have a £4500 booking to be told you need to find a further $196 per person to get the same package as I booked on day one seems unfair.

In reply to Single Cruiser's email post above, does that mean the upgrade from Select to Deluxe as Premium is no longer available will be a jump of $25 per day not what it used to be $11 per day?[emoji33][emoji27] an increase of in excess of 100% cheers for nothing RCI

The usual then where you get different answers. We have a advisors name and number that says Premium pricing would be offered as we have no chance of upgrading beforehand lol..

I am guessing the €50 is a one way fare, I have been to Bruges several times with free shuttles curtesy of P&O ferries, I find it a little cheap of Cunard to be charging $120 for two to travel, this is approaching the price I would pay including the ferry from Hull. Think I will get the train or stay in Blankenberge.

Thanks Hattie, That's what I will do then, guessing the trains will be frequent and reliable. Have you/anyone had any experience of the train trip.

I will await your post, I would appreciate it if you could post the upgrade cost from Select to Deluxe, looks like I have found a use for my onboard credit. [emoji481][emoji482][emoji106]

I spotted them in excursions, I read in the brochure that there were transfers inferring no cost or minimal service charge, the cost of the excursion I feel is high, I can book an overnight ferry from The UK for £75 buy one get one free which includes a free coach transfer, I know you cannot compare the ships but the coach is the same.

My Select package was a free perk at the time of booking would it cost the difference or the whole cost of the Premium package?

We have booked on a short trip Southampton to Bruges, booking a Cunard fare, in the brochure it states if the destination town is not on the coast transfers coaches will be available; stating Rome as an example, does anyone know if there is a coach and further more is it complimentary? As a bookable excursion for own arrangement walking tour seems excessively expensive. On a different note Cunard are selling a Christmas markets tour on our trip when we are in Bruges on the 21st November please note the market doesn't open until the 25th tried phoning Cunard hung up after 45 minutes of awful musac.

What does "Select package will be honored as is until depleted" mean? I sail in April, will the select package be depleted by then? Or will I be forced to upgrade at cost?

Don't for get this is the origin of the phrase it's a bit posh, from transatlantic tickets sold Port Out Starboard Home, for the most expensive sailing option, hence "the're POSH"

Pieminister is a great brand lovely pies almost glad they were not available on my TA. As I would have needed a crane to lift me from the ship, after all the food and drinks.
