  1. Be careful with taxis it took me and my wife 1/2 hour to find a taxi from the Hermitage back to the dock, no English spoken at all by drivers. We got a Russian speaking crew member to write down the port details. The taxi ride back was interesting in a 20 year old Lada with a missing window and the driver stroking his half hidden hand gun the whole journey back. But we lived and didn't miss our ship's departure; all part of the fun of travel.

  2. Hi just a little point of interest for you Americans out there. Europe isn't a country it's a continent with stable and unstable countries within, I detect a misplaced fear that we have over here bombers on every corner and jihadists on every street corner. Thankfully I can report this is not the case. Statistically you are more likely to be killed back over in America in your monthly school massacres. On a much happier note I am heading over to the U S of A to board the Independence transatlantic back home in 5 weeks time. Any tips for a night out in Fort Lauderdale.
