Contact help@cruisecritic.com and ask them to merge the two threads, plus fix the link in the "Find Your Roll Call" link to make sure that (new) thread is the one that connects to it.  Be sure to include the URL addresses for both threads in the email and indicate which one you want to be the "right" one.

When I go to "Find Your Roll Call" only the current one comes up, not my original.

  2. I started a roll call for Independence of the Seas 11/9/19- 7 Night Western Caribbean on April 6, 2018. There were responses up until there was a duplicate roll call started April 29, 2018 where the responses continue to the present date. How can I get my original roll back?

  3. Unnerving? Try walking through Penn Station everyday with military presence since 911. Manhattan is a death trap with crashing planes, exploding manhole covers, falling cranes, and terrorist attacks. I probably wouldn't even notice the police at Labadee.

Or try walking from the 42nd St. subway exit underground to Port Authority with the police standing with their sub machine guns.

  4. Hello All,

My Husband and I are considering a back to back cruise July 5 & 8 2019 on the Mariner of the Seas. We have never done a B2B before... Can someone explain Royals policy on how the "reembarkation" works? If we can get the same stateroom I imagine we won't have to move our belongings?

    Thanks!

  5. Quiet morning, went to Easter Mass with a priest I assume they brought on just for this cruise.

Then, we went to a meet and greet with the officers (we said hello to the captain!).

Now, we're just relaxing and enjoying the view. [emoji41]

Who is the cruise director and do you know how long they will be on. We are sailing May 3rd on the Anthem.

  6. My experience is to always avoid decks when there are public areas above. Meaning always secure a deck with staterooms above and below you as it will decrease the noise associated with public areas. Not that it's the best, but I prefer high floors, normally the highest you can go and still have staterooms above, the higher the floor the less motion sickness (if you're prone to motion sickness).

I thought it was the lower and centrally located you are, the less chances of motion sickness.

  7. I am going to attach some of the documents I saved from the cruise.

Letter in the cabin from the Diamond concierge. We never met her as we only went to the diamond lounge once. We spent more time in the concierge lounge

I see the CD was Clo O'Connor. We sail May 3rd and she will be on that sailing as well. Wanted to know what you thought of her.

  8. PLANNING

While we were on the Anthem January 2017, I wanted to book Anthem for January 2018 with the group but we held off for two main reasons. We have the Celebrity Reflection booked for April 2018 and Scott wasn’t sure if he could get away both January and April for longer cruises (12 nights and 11 nights). Also, there were no suites available.

During our Anthem January 2017 cruise, we became Casino Royale VIPs. I kept mentioning the Anthem cruise and saying maybe we should see what type of casino rates we could get.

When Scott still didn’t seem too interested, I looked into some other ideas for a winter trip. I talked about doing one of the Run Disney events in February 2018. Maybe we would start with something short like a 5K run.

While he initially seemed interested in the run, a day or so later he said we should look into the cruise as long as we’ll have some flexibility to cancel if it’s not going to work.

On Thursday 3/30/17, I called Casino Royale, conferencing in Brenda (my friend and travel agent who will also be on the sailing) and asked about the cruise. The only suite available is a Grand Suite Guarantee. The price was very good. And the consultant mentioned that as it gets closer there may be additional rewards or money off available and we can keep checking. The price won’t go up but could go down. Since it’s a Grand Suite Guarantee, the minimum we’ll get is a Grand Suite. I don’t want to get my hopes up that we’ll get anything except the Grand Suite.

On June 6, 2017, I received a voice mail message from Brenda (friend and travel agent) asking if I’ve checked my January reservation lately. I knew that had to mean that my cabin was assigned so I anxiously waited for the people that just walked into my office to leave so I could log on and check. We have cabin #8634, a Superior Grand Balcony Suite.

  9. Sorry for the lack of Afternoon updates, we basically enjoyed the balcony all afternoon.

The Captain in his afternoon announcement indicated we were due to run into a strong cold front tomorrow afternoon with expected very high winds. He indicated the outside decks maybe closed and even warned anyone prone to seasickness to take their pills early tomorrow. Yikes!!

So we took full advantage of the 70 degree temps in February to relax. Does not make for exciting reports but does wonders for our relaxation!

The sunset... Red Sky at night sailors delight...

We will be back tomorrow to report on the liqour sales and our final day. Also will have pictures from the bridge tour we are on tomorrow afternoon.

Hope everyone has a nice night and following seas..
